My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation-Chapter 313: Their Wedding
Chapter 313: Their Wedding
(Arata)
He held both my hands with such gentle affection. His eyes mirrored his smile, making them crinkle at the sides.
"You are here. Did you like the dress?" He softly asked, not caring that hundreds of people were watching us.
I gave his hard hands a squeeze. "I love it." Leaning in, I whispered. "Will show my appreciation, later."
His smile widened further at my mischievous words and the Cleric had to clear his throat to get our attention.
"Shall we advance with the ceremony?" He respectfully asked.
"Yes! Let’s begin,"Karsten announced, his eyes remaining fixated on me.
Music stopped and silence fell over. Only the howling of the wind through the trees could be heard.
A red silken cloth with golden borders was brought on a velvet pillow by one of the staff.
I could only imagine that this was related to some special tradition.
Cleric accepted the long piece of cloth, which had been created like a sash and wrapped it around our conjoined hands, tightly tying the knot.
Karsten reassuringly smiled at me, making me feel relaxed and calm, and easing the fried nerves.
He then began.
"With power bestowed in me, I would like to welcome you all to witness Karsten Toledo and Arata Zyair’s uniting of the hearts and conjoining of the souls in this holy matrimony. It’s time to exchange the vows."
The cleric’s voice had Karsten giving me a hearty nod. He wished for me to begin.
There were a million thoughts in my mind that I couldn’t even put into words because of how special he was to me.
But I had prepared a few words. With a warm smile, I bore my heart out to him.
"I, Arata Zyair, take Karsten Chevalier as my lawfully wedded husband."
The satisfaction in his dark eyes and that smile on his face couldn’t be brighter.
I continued.
"I promise to make you the darkest coffee ever in existence, every day for the rest of our lives. Darker than the black ink."
Laughter rolled out of everyone, especially Karsten. His body shook in amusement at my words. I could feel the tremors from our conjoined hands.
Laughing with him, I stated further.
"I will make all those sugarless foods you love to eat because I am going to be all the sugar you need in your life."
More chuckles from the crowd and him.
"Will be there to annoy you and cheer you up on gloomy days. Definitely promise to steal all your pillows and hoard them like a dragon’s treasure. Will, even let you borrow my strawberry shorts again, even though I know you stole the last one." I winked at the last one. Karsten doubled over from the laughter, and so did our family and friends.
"In short, I just want to say. I love you and will be there for you, especially in difficult times. I will be your strength, Karsten."
The thunderous applause followed my vows and Karsten stared at me as if he wanted to snatch and kiss me until I was breathless.
"It’s your turn, Mr Toledo," The Cleric said.
Karsten contained his smile. I had never seen this man so happy in the time I had known him.
His eyes softened further, and I could see myself in them and the unconditional love he held for me.
"I, Karsten Chevalier, take Arata Zyair as my lawfully wedded wife. For you, my beautiful Blue Rose, I do not have enough words to praise and show how you turned my life around. Changed me in ways, no one else could. You showed me the path of love, and for that, I promise to walk it with our hands conjoined like this. Never to abandon or step back. With every breath of mine, I will love you more and more. With every day, I will hold you dear and cherish you. You are mine, until death do us part," he concluded in an emotional voice.
My heart swelled and doubled in size at his words. I knew Karsten didn’t make fake promises. He meant what he said and he would always cherish me.
More applause and hearty ’awws’ sounded from our guests.
Pictures snapped as we held onto each other with love-filled eyes and broad smiles.
Our hands were untied.
Stella handed me the wedding band while Rahsir did the same with Karsten.
Slowly and lovingly he slipped the ring onto my ring finger.
My eyes watched the simple platinum band with one large ruby embedded into it.
Elegant and sophisticated, I loved the simplicity and yet delicacy of it. frёewebηovel.cѳm
"Thank you!" I murmured to him and his thumb rubbed the upper area of the back of my hand, the one that had been burnt.
His simple action touched the cords of my heart.
He accepted me, all of me.
The broken parts of me.
The burnt parts of me.
Even the conflicted parts of me.
I knew he would heal me.
So with a sea of emotions swirling in my gut and before I would cry from them, I held his hand and slipped the wedding band into his long ring finger.
It fitted perfectly and the smile broke out on his lips again.
"So elegant, Arata. I love it," he openly expressed.
This eased my heart that he had begun to speak out, unlike before, where he used to bottle up his feelings and the way he felt.
More claps and shouts from the onlookers as we completed this step as well.
"I now pronounce you, husband and wife. You may kiss the bride." The Cleric finally announced, making Karsten hold the sides of my veil.
Slowly he lifted it, revealing my face to himself and pushed it back.
The broad smile on my face refused to subside as he grabbed my waist and pulled me into him.
Our bodies contacted, the crowd roared as his hungry lips descended on me, savouring me like his favourite wine.
My arms looped around his head, clinging to him as he softly kissed me.
We were still lost in each other’s arms and high on the moment of becoming one when a voice called out, making him go stiff like a tree trunk.
"Karsten!" Someone called and he instantly let me go, his eyes burnt from rage as they swept towards the source of the voice and pinned the culprit down with his glare.
