My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation-Chapter 291: Camilla’s Confession To Zyair
Chapter 291: Camilla’s Confession To Zyair
(Arata)
Rahsir returned to Sparia after meeting Karsten, but Camilla and Roshra had decided to stay until Karsten was discharged.
Baba took them home without a question. Zaylen and Hades assured me that they would stay with Karsten, and I was forcefully sent home to rest for a few hours.
Grandma, Mom, Camilla, Roshra and I decided to sit in the garden for evening tea and chat. Everyone wanted to get to know the other better.
"How is Karsten? They only told me when he was out of danger. What a wicked world we live in." Grandma shook her head. "What a brave son you have." Leaning in, she patted Camilla’s hand as a gesture of thanks.
"He is going to be fine, and yes, he always goes to any length when people he cares about are involved, and he cares very deeply for Arata." Camilla gently smiled which everyone else reflected.
"He is going to whisk you away," Roshra whispered in my ear, making me blush and I had to concentrate on my tea.
Camilla glanced around.
"Your garden and mansion are spectacular. I love rose bushes. They are my favourite. I have gathered some very exotic ones from all over the world," Camilla’s eyes wouldn’t stop staring at our pruned rose bushes.
"Thank you! That must be one amazing collection," Mom added, taking a small and elegant sip of the tea while holding the handle between her thumb and pointer finger.
"I would like to invite all of you to Sparia, so I can show off my place and garden, and so much more," Camilla enthusiastically added.
"Something tells me we will be coming very soon," Grandma added, her wise eyes swivelling towards me and gawking at my reaction. I had to bite my lip.
Our conversation continued until Baba’s car entered the driveway and all eyes focused towards him.
Camilla’s posture stiffened and I could see a kind of seriousness enveloping her face as Baba joined us.
He sophisticatedly smiled at the guests while leaning down to kiss Grandma, Mom and me, before settling down in a chair.
"Thank you! For letting us stay," Camilla stated with gratitude and Baba offered a respectful nod.
"How did it go with the police?" Mom questioned, pouring a cup of jasmine tea for Baba and handing it to him.
"I have informed them of my suspicions. Hades will drop a recording of that assassin’s confession and him at a random place and will inform the police. Hopefully, Kalias will be behind bars soon. One less enemy to deal with." Baba sighed heavily, and brought the cup to his lips, taking a sip to calm his nerves. The white smoke spiralled upwards from the hot tea.
"Good, they are done harassing us. I am baffled by his nerves." Grandma’s brows knitted together in anger. She had suffered the most at the hands of this family.
"Yes, Mom. We are done playing in their hands." Baba nodded, leaning back against the chair to relax.
Everyone agreed. Grandma stayed a bit longer before returning inside to lie down. She got tired easily now. Mom took her so she could tuck her in bed.
Camilla faced Baba and cleared her throat. She seemed hesitant.
"Mr Kincaid, I wanted to say so much to you for so long but I don’t know where to start and how to say it."
Baba put the cup back on the pitcher and placed it on the table before speaking.
"Start from wherever you are comfortable. No pressure."
Roshra listened attentively as Camilla awkwardly smiled. It was such a rare sight to see Camilla like that.
"I don’t want to go into details because that hurts and hurts very deeply. But, I should have ended Preston when I had the opportunity but I couldn’t. I was so weak and pathetic and caused irreparable damage to so many women, including Roshra and Rahsir’s mom." She bowed her head in shame, and Roshra instantly reached out, grabbing her hand, giving her assurance.
"But we are deeply thankful that you helped lock up Preston. We owe you our sincerest regards."
Baba slowly shook his head. "I understand, I fully understand the trauma monsters like him cause and how difficult it gets to stand up against such people. I have been there, my wife has been there. It took us years to build up enough courage to face our tormentors. You have nothing to apologise for."
Camilla and Roshra’s faces blossomed like spring flowers behind them. Both ladies were in awe of Baba, he had that effect even without trying.
"We are still grateful. And I would personally like to apologise on behalf of my son. He has his drawbacks. He didn’t believe in love because of his father. He was afraid that people would hate him because of Preston. But in reality, my Karsten is nothing like that monster," Camilla confessed.
"I agree, Karsten cares too deeply. Even with all his flaws that only make him human, he is learning every step of the way," I concluded, my heart swelling with love I held for that idiot stubborn man.
I couldn’t wait to be in his arms.
"He’d better because I am entrusting my daughter to him once he recovers, and although many people would never with someone having a history like Preston’s. I know a son can’t be judged because of his father. Being a living example of having shitty parents I wouldn’t judge him because of that." Baba opened up and my stunned eyes shifted to him.
Did he accept Karsten and was ready to let me leave with him?
Seeing me watching him with disbelief written all over my face. He reached out and held my cheek with a genuine smile.
"I mean it, Arata."
Roshra giggled and I knew Camilla must be smiling as well when I choked out.
"Thank you! Baba. I love you."
"I love you too, Arata Chan." How words echoed in the spring gale which circled around us, singing its beautiful song and announcing a new Chapter in my life.
