My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation-Chapter 250: Man Knew How To Punch
Chapter 250: Man Knew How To Punch
(Karsten)
We left Karen and tons and tons of evidence for the police to find.
Once the sirens of the police cars sounded in the distance of this cold brutal night, we left Ranold’s house.
"Take all the evidence and keep it safe. I will go through it later. First, I need to ensure Arata is out of danger," I instructed Hades and sent him on his way.
Calling Olphi, I told him and Caysir to accompany me to the hospital. The name of the hospital had already been sent to me by the man I had told to follow Zyair’s car.
On the way, I unlocked Arata’s phone and checked the messages she had sent to Ranold.
My heart shattered when I read he told her to come down to meet him.
So this was how he was able to take her away?
Her hatred and distrust of me led her to fall into Ranold’s traps.
The regrets clung to me like leeches, sucking away any peace I had.
Will she ever forgive me?
To escape these hellish thoughts I had no control over, I took out my phone and dialled Ma, knowing she must be extremely worried.
"Ma, I rescued her. It was Ranold, his mother and Urisa behind all this."
Ma gasped loudly on the phone. The people she had loved and trusted had betrayed me and her in the worst possible way.
She remained silent for a long time before saying in a defeated voice.
"I feel like I don’t recognise people anymore, Karsten. How they played with my emotions while planning to hurt an innocent girl. I can’t believe this."
"Me too. There is a lesson for both of us. Trust only family." I breathed out, my fist resting on my thigh.
"Give them hell, Karsten. I know you won’t leave them to the police. I want their screams to echo in your dungeon for a long time," Ma cynically said and I knew any love she held for these monsters had died. freeweɓnøvel~com
"I am planning on doing that. Tell Rahsir to evacuate the Marique family from Sparia. If I find any of them lingering on my return. That will be the last day they will breathe."
"Leave that to us. Concentrate on Arata and ensure she gets the best possible help," Ma said with concern.
"Planning on doing that."
The call ended and I stared out at the fireworks in the sky, indicating a new year had begun.
A year which was going to bring so many changes in my life.
Was I even ready?
It didn’t matter because I had already sold myself to do the dark side.
As long as she was safe.
We arrived outside the hospital and Caysir opened the door for me. Stepping out he placed a coat around my shoulders.
Olphi and Caysir remained behind me as we walked inside the waiting area of the ER and spotted her family.
Zyair Kincaid was restlessly pacing the space with a grim expression, while her brother sat stiffly with her best friend resting on his shoulder.
I approached the man, and as usual, he stiffened seeing me. Seemed like Arata was still in the operation theatre.
Just as expected, her father went ballistic on me. Refusing to let me see her as if he owned her.
I knew Arata and I weren’t on the best of terms but I needed to apologise, I needed to see her and hold her in my arms, if she would let me.
That decision rested solely with her. I would respect her wishes, whatever she decided but I would never stop asking for forgiveness.
So I flatly told her father, the secret I knew no one else was aware of apart from me and her.
"Arata is pregnant with my child and not even her father can prevent me from seeing her."
Zyair Kincaid was left more than startled. The two lovebirds on the seats were jolted from the chairs, too, as if they had been electrocuted by them.
Her father was a very calculated and level-headed man from everything I had gathered about him. It seemed like all that went to poof when it came down to his daughter.
The expected punch came faster than I had imagined and hit painfully more than I had comprehended.
For a man his age, he knew how to punch. Making me understand what Arata meant when she said, ’My Baba trained me.’
The sound of my nose breaking resounded in the empty waiting area, followed by Stella’s gasp. Both my bodyguards rushed forward to restrain him.
"No," I said calmly, holding my bleeding nose. "Stand back," I ordered and they reluctantly obeyed.
Zaylen held his father back from lunging at me again.
"You fucking bastard..." Zyair yelled, his eyes holding nothing but animosity for me.
The nurse at the counter had to intervene.
"This is a hospital. Not a wrestling arena. Take your disputes outside or I will have to call the police." She glared at all of us and pointed to the outside door.
Olphi handed me a napkin to halt the flow of blood that was dripping on my shirt now.
Yeah! I was going to need a fix on my nose.
"Once she is awake, I will return to speak with her." I turned to point towards Caysir with my head. "My man will stay here until then."
Their shocked faces and angered eyes followed me as I walked away with Olphi on my heel.
"We need to get you to the doctor. That nose wound is not looking good," Olphi said following me outside.
He held the door open for me as I climbed inside. "Yeah, take me to Dr Haines, he will patch me up."
I wanted to give her family some space, knowing that after such a bomb drop it would take time for them to process the news.
Quietly the car sped away into the night but I would be back soon.
Hopefully when she will be awake.
