My CEO Boss Is A Masked Internet Sensation-Chapter 246: Plans Of Invasion
Chapter 246: Plans Of Invasion
(Karsten)
Slowly I approached the men and stood facing them under the dim yellow light of the hanging lamp.
All of them stood alert with their bulletproof jackets and game faces on.
A large table had been lined with guns, communication devices, ropes, explosives, alarm-disarming devices and other equipment needed for our raid.
I had also requested a first-aid box and it sat at the side of the table.
Grabbing the wig I took it off and dropped it on the table. Reaching with my fingers, I pinched out the lenses and discarded them.
Placing my hands flat on the table, I leaned down and faced the highly trained extraction squad.
Their faces were rigid, and their eyes solely focused on me. They only awaited my command and I didn’t even want to ask how they brought all these weapons into Marica City.
Taking out my phone I extracted Arata’s picture. The one we had taken on Christmas and showed it to them.
"That’s your Queen. She has been kidnapped and this is a rescue mission. I need everyone in that place to be captured alive so use tranquilisers. We are not going to kill anyone. Understood."
Sharp nods followed by words.
Hades stepped forward and began his own instructions to the crew. He had a long scar running from his left brow down to the edge of his cheek.
Hades was the most trusted man under my Uncle so that made him reliable.
He turned to face me.
"We will need a tentative map of his bungalow," Hades asked, extending a large white paper and marker towards me.
I had visited Ranold’s place a couple of times so I grabbed the marker and drew what I remembered.
"He has one front camera and an alarm system. I am sure he must have gotten more cameras now." I marked the positions of the camera and alarm system before continuing.
"There has to be an underground room. I never saw it, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist. I am pretty sure, that’s where he is keeping her."
I marked another two places which I believed led to an underground room. The marker made screeching sounds against the paper.
"This or either this."
A collective nodding of heads followed.
Then I gave them the coordinates of Ranold’s place so they could set their GPS accordingly.
"We will find the room and our Queen. Place your trust in us," Hades answered with an understanding sheen in his eyes.
"I trust you guys. All of you."
They picked up their guns, and one was handed to me.
I was not a novice to guns and had used them plenty of times for shooting targets and even threatening people. But I had never actually shot someone.
The urge to make that backstabber Ranold my first victim not only gave me courage but intense satisfaction.
"Let’s roll out. My man Caysir is already there, scanning the area. He will provide us with extra intel." I began to move and others followed.
We approached the cars and mounted them. Hades drove mine. Soon we were on our way to Ranold’s bungalow, in hopes that he was keeping Arata there.
The three cars travelled a slight distance from each other but rolled smoothly into the cold, mind-numbing night.
The snow had begun to fall. The small flecks were feathering down from the sky, covering everything in their tracks.
My thoughts spiralled into darkness. Fisting my hand, I rested it under my chin and stared out.
What and in which state I was going to find her? The very idea scared me down to my bones.
I wasn’t ready to see her....
How was I going to face her?
So close, I was so close to getting her back. Once she was safe, then I would ask for forgiveness which I didn’t deserve.
My restless heart was thumping against my chest. My mind practised the first words I was going to say to her.
’Apologise, just apologise sincerely and hope one day when she will be healed, she will forgive you,’ my mind rambled.
"We are here," Hades announced and I saw Ranold’s bungalow looming a few houses away in the distance.
Instantly I left the car and tracked my eyes to find Caysir. Others followed pursuit behind me.
The snow was falling more rapidly now, and soon, the roads would be completely covered.
Seeing us, Caysir left the pole he was resting against and rushed over to us in his thick jacket and muffler. His nose had turned red from extreme cold.
"Sir! You are here," he respectfully said but I could sense the tenseness in his voice.
"What’s the report?" I asked, pulling down my jacket. My gun rested right into the holster of my belt.
The men gathered around me to hear the intel Caysir had gathered. He took a calculated look at the men and began.
"There are two cameras up front. One on the door and one inside in the parking area. Three are spread out behind and along the walls. We will need to take the cameras down."
I knew Ranold would have installed more cameras so he could keep an eye on all sides.
"That would be easy, we will just jam the live stream with our RF jammers." Hades pointed towards the car where two men were ready with their laptops and devices.
They offered swift nods.
"I couldn’t go in because Ranold didn’t let me cross the main door and if I had tried, it would have gotten suspicious," Caysir dejectedly told me.
"It’s fine, you did good." I thumped his shoulder. Caysir had made me proud by finding that earring. That had led to this discovery or I might have never thought through this angle.
"Did you see him go out or come in? Or any other movement through the windows?" Hades questioned, standing tall in all his glory.
Caysir shook his head. "No, he only came out to grab the keys from me and seemed in a hurry. Usually, he likes to make conversation but not today."
"The perfect example of someone who has something to hide. He has her inside, let’s not waste anymore time," I grimly said.
Then turning to Caysir I instructed.
"Stay here and guard the men in the car. I am going to get Arata."
"Please save Miss Arata," he pleaded in a sad tone.
"We will."
Hades extracted a small box from his bag and handed me a small communication device from inside it.
"Put it in your ear, we will keep in touch through this."
I did as he had asked and signalled my men. They began to move. Hades gave instructions to the ones in the car to let him know once the camera feeds were down, so we could move in.
There was no moon in the sky; it was thickly wrapped in dark clouds, which made everything appear unappealing and gloomy.
Street lamps cast long shadows on the road, rapidly being covered by the snow.
The wind was harsh and cutting but I didn’t care. I was already numb from the pain, the cold was just a welcome distraction.
Anything to make me feel alive.
Laying low we moved ahead, and I signaled five men to surround the place from all sides while staying away from the range of the cameras.
We had to wait just a few more seconds when the confirmation came that the camera feeds were down and camera signals had been jammed.
Stealthily moving ahead we reached the main gate with greyish paint. One of the men climbed it like a monkey and effortlessly jumped inside without making a single noise.
It seemed like watching an action movie in a mute setting.
Quietly he opened the door, letting us in.
My eyes narrowed as I saw Ranold’s jeep parked in the garage.
The porch light was on and I was sure the bastard was home. The temptation to text him and ask where he was rose through me like a tsunami wave but I wanted this to be a complete surprise.
"Spread out and we enter at the same time. He has a security system inside, so we won’t have much time once it’s triggered," I commanded, and they all rolled away in different directions. Hades stayed with me along with two other men.
We approached the inner glass door. One of my companions extracted pointed tools to pick the lock. Inserting them in the keyhole he poked it around while we watched while holding our breaths.
Within a few seconds, the lock clicked, telling us the door had been unlocked.
It creaked silently, and my body tensed.
~Squeak~
Breaking of glass from other directions followed as Hades gave swift instructions to enter.
And then just as expected, the security alarms went off.
<Bweeeee-Bweeeeee>
"We only have a few minutes; let’s make the most of it," I shouted, and we barged inside in full force.
