My Blacksmith System: Transforming my Weapons into Beautiful Maidens-Chapter 14: You’re strange.
Chapter 14: You're strange.
Clank!
Cank!
Ank!
Blades connected as Rashin and the multiple other rats danced with their blades.
It was a complete showdown.
From left and right, the dark goblins attacked, each one aiming to kill.
Rashin, on the other hand, was outnumbered and cornered, yet somehow, he was standing his ground.
For one simple reason—the dagger he was holding had managed to gain an extra skill after leveling up to 25.
The said skill was...
[Battle Instinct]
This skill allowed his body to move on instinct alone. Combined with his [Dodge] skill, Rashin was a fighting machine.
In other words, Rashin's body was moving faster than his brain needed to process his movements.
Gbaam!
He grabbed a goblin by the ear, a loud cry leaving its mouth before he ran his dagger through its skull.
Almost immediately, Rashin turned to the next opponent, using his dagger to create a vertical slash that completely split the monster in two.
Finally, he had breathing space, the dark goblins all gathering in front of him.
'I managed to kill only two. Even though I hate to admit it, I do not think a dagger is the wisest choice of weapon against these guys,'
Rashin thought to himself, green blood dripping from his fingers.
"The fact that I can't seem to get tired is a good thing for me. It means I can fight as much as I want. And also..."
His eyes shifted to the left, where he could see the notification.
[Kill every dark goblin and gain a new feature.]
"This is also a tempting offer."
Rashin sighed. "Enough playing then."
He opened his fist, allowing the spear to materialize before gripping it.
In one hand, he held the dagger; in the other, his spear.
Both resonated with the blue aura leaking from his body.
He was ready.
The goblins, who had been patiently waiting for their prey, all began to race toward him in groups.
Eri, still watching from the back of the entire scene, covered her mouth with her hand, her worry becoming even more evident.
As the first goblin arrived, Rashin grabbed his dagger and threw it forward, allowing it to stab the goblin behind it, before he then used his spear to slice the goblin in two like paper.
Two down, Rashin opened his palm, and the dagger answered to him, reappearing in his fist.
After that, Rashin proceeded to fight the remaining dark goblins, using both weapons in his arsenal to come out on top.
In less than a couple of minutes, Rashin had killed over 20 dark goblins.
He stood in the center of their dead bodies, drenched in their blood.
"I've won," he said triumphantly.
[Notice: Long Spear has leveled up to 28.]
[Notice: Short Dagger has leveled up to 30.] (Two new attributes.)
Rashin stared at the template for a while, trying to catch his breath as more notifications began to show up.
[You have gained the Dark Goblin speech skill.]
[You have gained a new feature.]
[You can now use Soul Stones to upgrade weapons.]
Rashin was confused at the notification. He was sure he had heard about Soul Stones somewhere before, and it was from the same system.
But he had no time to dwell on that.
Eri had arrived.
Running toward him like a mother who had found her lost child.
"Are you alright? I didn't think there'd be so many of them. I would have had you escape with me too. I thought you were going to die."
She began to run her fingers across his cheeks, sweeping away the blood painted on Rashin's face.
"I'm fine. Why are you out here? I told you to go away," he spoke.
This made Eri frown a bit.
"Uhn? What was that?" She moved her face closer. "Do you think I'm some heartless woman who would leave a man to fight all by himself?"
"That's exactly what you did."
Eri moved back. "Honestly, you're quite strange. I know I say that a lot, but this... You just took on so many dark goblins and even killed these giant rats. They should be C rank at best."
Rashin, feeling the need to confirm, turned to the monsters he had killed.
"Appraisal."
[Dark Goblins – C+ Rank.]
[Giant Rats – C Rank.]
"Yes... C ranks," Rashin blurted out.
"You can tell that too?" Eri asked, her expression showing she was both expecting and not expecting that.
"Eh? Is that weird?" Rashin looked at her.
"You really can do everything, can't you?" Eri chuckled nervously.
"I don't think—"
Eri suddenly walked toward the dead monsters. "Don't worry, it's a good thing. The stronger you are, the more special we get. And at the end of the day, hehe, I didn't expect less from my personal hero."
Though she said all this with her back turned to Rashin, her smile was not that hard to miss.
Rashin, for once in a long time, had a small smile on his face.
"Didn't you say I was no hero?"
"And I changed my mind. Got a problem?" Eri looked at him judgingly.
Rashin nodded.
"Good. Now then..."
Her focus was now on the multiple dead bodies around her.
If Rashin were a C-rank hunter or higher, they would have gotten good money for selling the body parts of the monsters to the guild. But since Rashin was a D rank, something like this would be difficult.
Eri placed her hand under her jaw, thinking of multiple ways she could scam the guild.
There was no way she would let all this hard work go to waste.
"There we go... hehehe..." she chuckled the moment she had finished plotting.
And then, she smiled at Rashin.
"We are going to eat well tonight, my dear powerful hero."

Looking at her, Rashin couldn't help but compare her to a wild cat he had seen a while back.
"You look happy..."
"Tsk! Quit asking questions. Come on, let's head to the guild!"
She sprinted forward, grabbing Rashin's hand while she was at it.
