Chapter 750: Chapter 750: What Only a Pervert Would Do

Arthur Sutton felt that the only one he might handle right now is Noah, but Noah doesn’t just like him, he also likes Wayne Archer quite a bit.

Next is Chase, that kid is obviously quite tricky.

The biggest problem, though, is Janelle Tollman.

He still doesn’t have the courage to confess to Janelle about what happened back then.

He didn’t know what Janelle thought about that night, and he felt that no girl would accept a man who had once violated her.

He wasn’t entirely sure how things had happened that night, nor why Janelle chose to have these kids. She still hadn’t married, and it seemed not because she was waiting for someone, but because she and the kids had a stable life and didn’t want to accommodate anyone else.

Arthur Sutton sat in the car, watching Janelle Tollman smile at the children, and sighed silently.

After the game ended and before they parted ways, Dominic Tollman said to Arthur Sutton, "If you like someone, you have to tell them openly. Only a creep would spy on someone secretly."

Arthur Sutton: "..."

That kid.

He also wanted to say it openly, but Janelle wasn’t a young girl dreaming of love, she was a mother of two. Naturally, she would consider things much more than ordinary girls would.

Wayne Archer being rejected in his pursuit is a prime example.

Arthur Sutton felt that compared to Wayne Archer, his only advantage was being the children’s biological father, but he didn’t know how to bring this up with Janelle.

...

In a restaurant on the commercial street of the park, the winter afternoon sun softly streamed through the window glass.

Hannah Sue took a spoonful of soup from her bowl, took a sip, glanced at Evan Sutton, and said awkwardly, "You should eat something too, otherwise it feels awkward with you just watching me eat."

Evan Sutton stood up, "Then I’ll wait outside for you."

Hannah Sue said, "That makes me feel even more awkward, like you’re urging me to hurry."

Evan Sutton waved his phone and said, "I just need to go out and make a call."

Hannah Sue: "Oh."

Hannah Sue’s gaze followed Evan Sutton as he walked outside the store, the more she looked, the more she thought he was the best person she’d ever met.

He was handsome, had a great personality, strong professional abilities, and was very gentle and kind.

If she wanted to be with him, she’d have to make herself more excellent as well.

She was about to graduate high school and had four years of college ahead...

What she would be like in those four years was still unknown, and four years was enough time for many things to change.

Evan Sutton was much older than her and already at the age of considering marriage. She feared that before she graduated from college, Evan Sutton might already have marriage prospects...

Right now, Evan Sutton just saw her as a child; even if she said she liked him, he wouldn’t take it seriously.

Why wasn’t she born a bit earlier?

As Evan Sutton was outside making a call, he happened to see Norman Sutton walking by alone.

And Norman Sutton’s gaze was fixed on somewhere ahead, not noticing Evan Sutton at all.

Evan Sutton ended the call and called out to Norman Sutton, "Norman? Why are you here alone?"

Hearing Evan Sutton’s voice, Norman Sutton finally stopped, but he seemed in a hurry, as if following someone, "Fifth brother? I’m... I’m here to buy some souvenirs to gift my squad members."

While speaking, Norman Sutton kept glancing ahead, and Evan Sutton followed his gaze to see Lana Holloway walking side by side with a Western-looking man not far away.

Before Evan Sutton could ask, Norman Sutton said, "By the way, Fifth Brother, why are you here? Audrey was just looking for you everywhere."

Evan Sutton waved his phone, explaining, "Oh, I just called Audrey. I’ll head over to them in a bit."

Norman Sutton glanced once more in Lana Holloway’s direction and saw her walking into a Lego store with Lance Quincy. He quickly said to Evan Sutton, "I’ll go check out the souvenirs in the store first, and will join you all later."

Evan Sutton, being no fool, could easily see through Norman Sutton’s intentions but didn’t expose it. He simply nodded, watching Norman Sutton hurriedly enter the Lego store not far away.

This kid seems to be getting anxious too.

Returning to the restaurant, Evan Sutton found that the spot where Hannah Sue was sitting was now empty, though her coat was still on the sofa.

Guessing Hannah Sue had gone to the restroom, Evan Sutton sat on the sofa waiting.

Several minutes passed, and Hannah Sue still hadn’t come out, prompting Evan Sutton to message her: "Where are you?"

A few seconds later, a response came: "I’m in the restroom."

Evan Sutton couldn’t help joking: "Your digestion seems pretty good."

Hannah Sue, in the restroom stall, had no mood for jokes as she frowned at the bloodstain on her jeans.

She hadn’t expected her period, which hadn’t come sooner or later, to come today, and she hadn’t brought any sanitary pads, even staining her pants...

Such an embarrassing situation, being seen by someone she liked, would be so mortifying.

A message notification popped up on her phone again. Evan Sutton asked: "Did you fall in and can’t get out? The food’s getting cold."

Sighing at her phone, Hannah Sue realized staying in the restroom wouldn’t solve the problem, and the only person she could ask for help was Evan Sutton.

Sigh, why does everything bad seem to happen to her?

Taking a deep breath, Hannah Sue finally sent Evan Sutton a message: "Could you do me a favor and buy a pack of sanitary pads from a nearby convenience store?"

Even through the phone screen, Hannah Sue felt so embarrassed sending this message that her scalp tingled.

Evan Sutton stared at the message from Hannah Sue for a moment before realizing why she hadn’t come out of the restroom for so long.

He stood up and headed out of the restaurant, replying: "Any particular brand?"

Hannah Sue: "Doesn’t matter."

It was only after reaching the end of the commercial street that Evan Sutton found a convenience store. He grabbed a pack of a well-advertised brand and hurried back to the restaurant.

He asked a female staff at the restaurant to deliver the sanitary pads to Hannah Sue, waiting by the restroom door himself.

After several more minutes, Hannah Sue finally emerged from the restroom, looking visibly bashful and hesitant, stopping at the restroom door to look at Evan Sutton with a somewhat embarrassed gaze.

Evan Sutton, puzzled, asked her, "What’s wrong? Stomachache?"

Hannah Sue bit her lip awkwardly and stood in front of Evan Sutton, whispering, "...It got on my pants."

Instinctively, Evan Sutton glanced behind Hannah Sue, and she immediately sidestepped to shield herself with her hand, blushing as she saw him, evidently feeling it would be terribly embarrassing for him to see it.
