Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 746: Midnight Rendezvous with Simon Sue
After lunch, Evan Sutton learned that Audrey Sutton and the others also planned to go to the amusement park in the afternoon.
After asking Hannah Sue, it turned out to be the same amusement park, as expected.
So Evan Sutton thought about it and texted Hannah Sue: "How about going tomorrow?"
Hannah Sue immediately sent over an emoji with a head full of question marks, followed by several message bombs.
Hannah Sue: Bro, are you messing with me?
Hannah Sue: I’ve already booked the tickets!
Hannah Sue: Ditching me during the holidays?
"Evan, let’s go."
Hearing Audrey Sutton’s voice, Evan Sutton looked up to see that everyone was ready to set off.
He hadn’t figured out a strategy yet. Although there was nothing shady, it could still cause some unnecessary misunderstandings.
A large group of people marched out the door. Luxury cars lined up, making one think some bigshot had arrived in Rivia.
Several unmarried brothers, single, sat in the same car, and Evan Sutton still hadn’t replied to Hannah Sue’s messages.
Hannah Sue anxiously sent another message: Why aren’t you responding? What exactly do you plan to do?
As Evan Sutton stared at the screen, trying to think of a solution, another message popped up: Never mind if you’re not coming, I’ll go play by myself.
Seeing this, Evan Sutton thought Hannah Sue was throwing a childish tantrum again.
But then, Hannah Sue sent another line: You rarely get days off. You have your family to spend time with. I shouldn’t disturb you. Enjoy yourself, I’ll wait at the hotel for you to come back.
Reading this, Evan Sutton felt a pang of heartache and finally sent a line back: You go ahead. I’ll come to you as soon as I’m free.
Evan Sutton thought, with so many people here, there’s no way they could stick together the whole time. He’d find a chance to sneak away and accompany Hannah Sue, at least so she wouldn’t feel upset.
This outing had Audrey Sutton inviting almost everyone she knew.
Since graduating, she and her dorm sisters hadn’t gathered for quite a while.
Seraphina Vaughn usually engaged in extreme sports and wasn’t interested in amusement park rides, but she was too bored. When Audrey Sutton called to invite her, she immediately agreed.
Barry Barrett had become a live streamer, relying on her popularity in the cosplay circle. Now, she was somewhat of a minor celebrity; she was even invited as a special guest at Simon Sue’s recent concert.
With the arrival of the baby, the relationship between Flora Lane and Lucian Quinn became even more intimate.
In the past, watching Flora frequently change boyfriends, be it due to quarrels or disagreements, everyone thought that even if she got married in the future, she’d surely have many little conflicts.
But now Audrey Sutton realized that Flora just hadn’t met the right person before.
Flora was the most hot-tempered of them all, yet she and Mor had never fought during their time together.
As Flora herself would say, there’s really no room for argument. Lucian Quinn seems to understand her exceptionally well, never doing anything to upset her, and he’s very considerate of her feelings, spending nearly all his free time on Flora aside from work.
Plus, Mor has a good temper; even if you argue with him without reason, he won’t retaliate.
Since being with Mor, Flora’s own temper has improved.
As for Faye Xavier and Luc, they’re still the same, always surrounded by different women.
The two were brought by Shane to help take care of the kids.
The protagonists of today’s event are actually Lana Holloway and Phoebe King’s cousin.
Originally, it was to set them up on a date, but chatting turned into a plan for a family outing.
Phoebe King’s cousin is Lance Quincy. He had dinner at the house yesterday, and Audrey Sutton and Laura Yates were already impressed by Lance’s looks, causing Shane and Franklin Sutton to get jealous.
Now, seeing Lance Quincy walking smoothly toward them, even Flora Lane, who hadn’t fangirled for a long time, couldn’t resist pulling Audrey Sutton’s arm and asking, "Hey, is that the main character for today?"
Audrey Sutton nodded with a smile and said, "What’s up? Mind your expression; look at your guy."
That said, Flora glanced towards Lucian Quinn, who was pushing a stroller. His gaze was unerringly fixed on her. While there wasn’t much discontent in his expression, Flora easily caught the silent warning. She immediately grinned sheepishly at Lucian, not daring to blatantly stare at Lance Quincy anymore.
Audrey Sutton: "These men, they won’t argue with you upfront but will give you the cold shoulder back home."
Barry Barrett looked at the two disdainfully, "Is it that bad? Just looking at a handsome guy, don’t you even have that bit of freedom? I must say, Sister Phoebe, it’s too unfair. With such a handsome cousin, why didn’t you introduce him to me sooner? Unbelievable!"
Hearing this, Phoebe King immediately laughed and said, "I have another cousin who looks good too. Want me to bring him back in a few days to meet you?"
Flora Lane feigned confusion and asked Barry Barrett, "Aren’t you rumored to be involved with the handsome Mr. Sue? Why is it either Audrey’s brother or Phoebe’s brother on your mind?"
At the mention of rumors, Barry Barrett hurriedly explained, "What rumors! That’s all media nonsense. I was a guest at Simon Sue’s concert that day. The concert ended very late, and all the staff stayed at that hotel. How did it turn into me having a late-night liaison with Simon? Ridiculous!"
Audrey Sutton and Flora Lane exchanged a knowing smile and said, "I guess it’s because Simon has never invited any female guests to his concerts, so that’s why everyone thinks you two are close."
Seraphina Vaughn, finishing her chat and putting away her phone, chimed in, "Why didn’t Simon come today? I thought he’d be here with you."
Barry Barrett, not realizing Seraphina’s trap, answered, "He’s shooting a commercial today."
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone simultaneously chimed in, "Tsk tsk, you’re well aware of his schedule!"
Barry Barrett’s face flushed, and she hurriedly defended, "You guys! His fans all know his schedule. He posts it on X!"
Flora Lane chuckled and said, "Who casually follows someone they don’t like on X? It’s because you like him that you keep tabs on him, right, Audrey?"
Audrey Sutton and Flora Lane sang in harmony, "Sister Flora is right!"
Barry Barrett, anxious, said, "I am a fan of his! And not just him, I follow a lot of people!"
Seraphina Vaughn asked Audrey Sutton and the others earnestly, "There’s no rule that fans can’t date their idols, right?"
Flora Lane: "Probably the highest level of idol fandom is marrying them, right?" 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
Audrey Sutton: "Just imagining it sounds romantic."
Barry Barrett, exasperated: "That’s enough, you guys!"
