MMORPG: Rise of the Primordial Godsmith-Chapter 1379: Fighting Khalamitax (4)
"As I've said before, it's pretty simple." Valyr let out a chuckle in response, sweeping his gaze over the four guild leaders once more.
"All we have to do is go all out and aim our strongest skills towards the wyvern's head."
"And that will be enough for us to push the wyvern's HP down to 40% before time is up?" asked Malutar for clarification as the three other guild leaders continued to look at him in slight suspicion.
Though they were more than eager to try out various strategies if it meant they'd be able to clear the world raid once and for all, that did not mean that the four guild leaders stopped doubting the feasibility of Valyr's idea.
After all, with how long they've been fighting against the wyvern alongside their own members, the four of them already had a rough idea of how much damage their skills would deal when they used it on the red wyvern.
Although it was undoubtedly greater thanks to their levels being higher than the members they brought, the four of them eventually came to the conclusion that even if they went all out and used their strongest skills, the damage they would deal would only be marginally better at best.
Because of that, it was no surprise that the four doubted the young man's claims, even if his reputation as a powerful mage had already spread throughout both the player and NPC forums.
"Trust me, it's more than enough." Of course, it also went without saying that the young man already expected the four to doubt the idea he had.
With that, he already knew what he needed to do to tip the scales to his favor.
"I'm sure all of you have seen your attacks do critical damage every once in a while," said Valyr to the four, which caused the four to look at each other for a bit before giving him a slight nod.
Nodding back in response, he continued. "Now, you might think that the plan I came up is ultimately us relying on our skills' probability to deal critical damage."
"But what if I told you… I wasn't planning on relying on that in the first place?"
Seeing that he had caught the attention of the four with his words, Valyr inwardly smiled as he began to explain the concept of Vital Hits to the four.
Hearing that there were certain areas on their foes that allowed them to deal thrice their normal damage without any conditions whatsoever, it was no surprise that the four looked at the young man in shock, wondering where the latter had been able to obtain such information.
At the same time, they were curious as to where Valyr's words were true or not. After all, the young man had not shown them any proof that Vital Hits did exist.
Fortunately, having already anticipated the skepticism the four held towards the concept, the young man quickly sent out a bolt of mana towards the wyvern's open maw, dishing out an amount of damage far greater than any of them had been able to deal all this time.
With the blood-red numbers appearing above the wyvern's maw acting as proof, the four quickly began to accept the young man's words as truth, their gazes eager to learn if there was anything else Valyr would teach them to increase their odds of winning.
Though, whether or not there was more to teach them aside from the existence of Vital Hits, Valyr merely stopped his explanation after giving them a rough overview on how Vital Hits work, understanding that they already knew what they needed to do later on.
Then again, even though he had taught the four guild leaders the concept of Vital Hits, the young man did not plan on relying on the four to dish out most of the damage needed to bring the wyvern's health down to 40%.
In actuality, all of the things he had told the four thus far was just an excuse for what he'd unleash in order to complete the task given to them.
After all, who would believe him if he told them that he was only able to dish out that damage because he tapped into the strength of his other identity?
If anything, it was easier to explain that he relied on stacked buffs and Vital Hits to dish out such a level of damage.
With the four more than eager to make use of Vital Hits in action, the five hastily got into their positions, asking some of their more trusted members to accompany them in their plans.

Knowing that all they needed to do was to aim their strongest attacks at the wyvern's head, the five proceeded to bide their time, waiting as the wyvern's health continued to trickle down from the unceasing attacks of the majority.
"…Now!" Seeing that half of the task's objective had already been achieved by their guild members, Valyr went ahead and gave the guild leaders a signal, reminding that they only had a couple of minutes left before the wyvern unleashed its ultimate attack.
"[Warrior's Devotion]!"
Whoosh!
Being the first among them to attack, Malutar went ahead and buffed himself even further, showing no hesitation in using all of the skills he'd saved for the very end.
"Hup!"
Feeling a tyrannical level of strength beginning to course throughout his body, the man gripped even tighter onto his zweihander as he leaped forward, swinging at the wyvern's maw at just the right moment.
"[Full Zweihander Strike]!"
Bang!
With the numerous buffs from the supports and his own powerful buffs working together, Malutar was able to land a solid blow on the wyvern's maw, briefly distracting the wyvern from its preparation as it let out a roar in pain.
"[Glaring Impact]!"
Making use of the opportunity Malutar had given to them, the three other guild leaders soon followed suit, landing all of their strongest attacks in the hopes they would be able to dish out enough damage.
"[Meteor Hammer]!"
"[Mount Tai Descent]!"
Bang! Bang!
Letting out roar after roar as each attack removed a considerable chunk of the wyvern's health, the wyvern's focus gradually began to wane, causing some of the preparations it had made towards its ultimate attack to become fruitless.
Yet, before it could even obtain the opportunity to refocus its attention towards the attack it was preparing, a terrifying aura forced the red wyvern to shift its attention towards the danger instead, feeling the origin of the aura moving closer towards it.
"[Soul Fusion]."
"…"
"…"
"[Partial Sky]."
Whoosh!
