Miss Witch Doesn't Want to be a Diva-Chapter 1587 - 66: Three Faction Branches
After listening to Selia’s account, Tilan first felt shocked, then surprised, and finally suspicious.
Regardless of whether doing so would anger the Four Originals, even if those four didn’t mind this minor wear and tear, how was such an impossible task accomplished given the strength and technology of the original humans at the time? The loopholes and doubts in this are too many.
"I find it hard to believe this theory." Tilan inwardly rejected this view because it meant an unexplained guilt, reminiscent of ancient religions where you are pronounced guilty and then spend a lifetime atoning for it.
"Moreover, this origin theory is quite absurd, isn’t it?" She continued forward, contemplating the personalities and traits of successive songstresses.
"If all songstresses originated from the Four Originals, doesn’t that mean, even in the Sixth Age, humanity hasn’t escaped reliance on the Four Originals and is still like a child who hasn’t grown up?" She shook her head.
If it were others, they might believe this theory, but with the increasing historical truth she pieced together, if the Four Originals wanted to interfere with the present world, they wouldn’t need to resort to such awkward methods.
The Black Sun of the Fifth Epoch was powerful, but in the eyes of those Four Originals who once constructed the Solar Crown influencing the entire Milky Way, it wasn’t an unsolvable problem. Moreover, if those four wished, they could directly amend the ’Eternal Covenant of Loranshia’ to end the darkness of the Fifth Epoch.
"Miss Tilan doesn’t agree, does she?" Selia wasn’t discouraged but followed her.
"Yes." Tilan was not the kind of naïve high school girl her appearance suggested; her experiences over the years had seasoned her, and she would not be fooled by such rhetoric.
"But the qualities you exhibit perfectly match the records within our Rescue Association."
"You possess both the supreme talent of a songstress and various traits related to the Primordial Rock, which almost perfectly corroborates this view."
"Right, I fit your origin theory well, but what about the other songstresses? Are you implying they possess smaller fragments, hence impure lineage?" Tilan shook her head again, further rejecting this theory of lineage.
Seeing Tilan’s unexpected reaction, the other party no longer forced the young woman to acknowledge it but shifted the topic elsewhere.
"I know you are skeptical, but the records within our Rescue Association indeed indicate that this attempt was made at the time, and according to the timeline, Lady Isenisha’s birth coincides with the aftermath of this experiment." She seemed passionately convinced by this rhetoric.
"The first Color-level Songstress obtained a fragment of flame, the second a fragment of water, the third a fragment of rock. Do you think this is a mere coincidence?" Selia stepped forward.
"You place too much certainty in the power and omnipotence of the Four Originals." Tilan turned, a hint of coldness flashing in her eyes.
She rarely got angry, but today there was indeed a surge of anger.
"These claims, attributing all hope and salvation to the greatness of God, evoke a sense of ignorance and melancholy."
"Moreover, your rhetoric tarnishes the many sages who sacrificed to change the dire circumstances of the Fifth Epoch."
"Whether it was the greatness of God that brought about all this or the sacrifice and exploration of countless people forging ahead, it’s a very serious question."
"If everyone believes the former, should we then kneel and plead for the gods’ messengers to rescue us when facing difficulties and dire straits in the future?"
"I abhor such foolish and unaware behavior because it not only errs but demolishes the beautiful things that should have been born, trapping everything in a cage of outdated obsolescence."
"But..." The nun still wanted to argue.
"I’ve said it, even if your perspective were proven true, I wouldn’t acknowledge it. If necessary, I’ll show you the cold, ruthless side of songstresses." Having said this, Tilan walked forward, leaving the nun standing there stunned.
...
Leaving the decoratively sacred chapel, Tilan returned to her temporary residence and then called upon her accompanying members.
Seeing Tilan standing by the window with her back to them, the arriving members felt an inexplicable pressure for the first time; in the past, Tilan was an exceptionally easy-going person, occasionally giving the impression of a simple, naive girl, causing them to forget her true identity.
"Lord Tiran." Four elite sword-bearers respectfully inquired, all selected meticulously from the Southern Star Region, each at the level of Sequence 7. Such individuals could serve as central figures in any faction, yet now they were merely the songstress’s attendants.
"I need the historical data of the Holy White Melody, as well as the internal faction divisions, origins, and philosophies of their members."
"Understood." They didn’t question the reason; since she instructed it, it surely must be important.
About a day later, a detailed report was handed to Tilan.
The Holy White Melody, established at the end of the Fifth Epoch, initially began as an organization managing pilgrims. Later, feeling inspired to commemorate the three sacrificed saints, many pilgrims stayed, gradually rebuilding the barren planet, establishing related chapels and record museums.
In its early years, the personnel of the Holy White Melody were complex and varied; among them were many newborn species, but more were original humans.
After the establishment of the Rose Federation, feeling the greatness of the Three Saints, Isenisha did not allow the Federation to annex this Star Domain but intended for it to remain independent, forming a relatively pure organization.
