Max-Level Metaphysician: A Debt Repayment Journey-Chapter 834: Entangled
Chapter 834: Chapter 834: Entangled
Jiangli saw the question and birthdate provided, calculated for a moment, and asked, "Have you recently encountered something related to death?"
The other person’s ID was Relaxed Bear and they quickly responded, "Yes, not long ago, when I was out shopping and returning home, I came across a funeral car with a coffin on it. But something seemed wrong with the car; it didn’t start and was stuck there for a while. My car just happened to be right behind it... So, Abbot, am I actually being haunted by something dirty?"
Jiangli asked, "Where are you from?"
Relaxed Bear said, "I’m a local."
Jiangli said, "Alright, come by tomorrow, and we can talk in person."
Relaxed Bear was a bit nervous, "Abbot, if I really am haunted, what should I do tonight? Will it hurt me?"
Jiangli replied, "From what you’ve described, this state has been going on for a while, which means it doesn’t intend to take your life, so it won’t harm you tonight. If you’re still worried, I’ll teach you a Celestial Hand Seal to ward off evil."
Relaxed Bear: "Okay, thank you, Abbot!"
Jiangli made a Celestial Seal with one hand and had Xia Xin record a short video to send to Relaxed Bear.
After resolving Relaxed Bear’s issue, Jiangli said a word to the people in the livestream and then closed the stream and went offline.
"Alright, let’s rest. Tomorrow’s bound to be busy."
With that, Jiangli got up and returned to her meditation room.
After finishing the final tasks, Xia Xin and Fu’er went their separate ways to rest.
Before going to sleep, Xia Xin was still thinking about preparing tea and snacks for guests the next morning, so he hurried to rest and restore his energy.
Meanwhile, after Jiangli returned to the room, she didn’t go to sleep. She took out two iron talismans and absentmindedly rubbed them in her palm.
...
Xia Xin didn’t know when he had fallen asleep, but when he woke up to the alarm, it was already past seven in the morning.
By seven in the summer, the sun was already high, and the heat had begun to rise.
Still groggy, Xia Xin freshened up and changed his clothes before going to knock on Jiangli’s door.
He wanted to ask the ancestor what she wanted for breakfast.
But despite knocking for a long time, there was no response.
Xia Xin instantly became alert, knocking and calling, "Ancestor, are you there?"
After calling for a while without any response,
Fu’er came over from the side hall, "What are you doing so early in the morning?"
Xia Xin replied anxiously, "The Ancestor doesn’t seem to be inside. I’ve knocked many times and there’s no response. Fu’er, do you think the Ancestor isn’t inside, or has something happened to her?"
Seeing him almost in tears with worry, Fu’er shook his somewhat stiff neck and said, "What could happen to the Ancestor? She left early this morning, probably to handle something."
Xia Xin was stunned, "The Ancestor left?"
Fu’er nodded, "Yes, I sensed her presence leave early in the morning."
Fu’er rested in the side hall at night, and being a spirit, he didn’t need rest, mostly just guarding the place.
Any movement from Jiangli or Xia Xin, he would sense.
Jiangli had left around five in the morning.
Fu’er noticed but didn’t think much of it.
"What was she doing out early in the morning?" Xia Xin frowned, anxious and worried.
Fu’er shrugged, "No idea, maybe she had something to handle. Anyway, don’t worry. The Ancestor is so powerful, what could possibly happen? We have guests coming today, Xia Xin, you better prepare."
With that, he pushed Xia Xin towards the front yard.
Xia Xin was full of worry, but Fu’er managed to distract him.
