Max Level is 100? I Can Upgrade All skill s to Lv99999!-Chapter 48 --Don’t Be Surprised. I’m Just Passing Through.
The sky overhead was a dull, ashen gray, and from time to time, flakes of dust—almost like snow—drifted down.
Caelan had always thought the Abyss would be pitch-black.
But the boundless wilderness stretching out before him completely shattered his understanding of it.
So [Endless Abyss] wasn’t a world of darkness at all!
As that thought crossed his mind, Caelan suddenly sensed something else—
the ground around him was trembling... faintly at first.
Only a few breaths later, the vibration turned violent.
Countless little mounds bulged up from the earth. One after another, grotesque monsters burst out, like blood-scented cats, charging straight toward Caelan!
Unlike the [flesh abomination] he’d encountered before, the creatures in the Abyss were... purer, in a twisted way.
They were essentially the embodiment of filth itself—a living collection of corruption. It was as if they carried endless curses on their backs, wailing in agony every second.
Staring at the tide of monsters flooding toward him, even Caelan couldn’t help sucking in a cold breath.
"Holy shit... why are there this many mobs?!"
"Can’t kill ’em all. No way. Even if I could, I wouldn’t have enough mind power!"
Caelan scratched his head, gripped his sword in one hand, and slipped into the swarm.
With his level of skill, avoiding their attacks wasn’t particularly difficult.
The real issue was finding the entrance to the next floor—fast.
Caelan weaved through the crowd of monsters, and at the same time, he couldn’t hide his surprise at how strong they were.
To put it bluntly: even on the first floor of [Endless Abyss], these things were already more troublesome than the [flesh abomination].
It was honestly hard to imagine there were people who could grind all the way to floor 99 in one run!
As Caelan moved, he also spotted other adventurers.
Most of them traveled in squads—clearing monsters as they advanced, searching for the passage downward.
There were countless monsters, but there were also plenty of adventurers.
For a while, the entire first floor of [Endless Abyss] was drenched in the visual effects of every kind of skill.
Caelan had no intention of fighting these monsters.
Not because he was arrogant—simply because their levels were too low. One-shotting them wasn’t worth the cost.
After all, even Caelan couldn’t spam skills endlessly.
Right now, he cared a lot about skill efficiency.
No time to waste. He needed to move.
With that thought, Caelan sheathed his sword and activated [Flashstep].
In the next instant, his figure glided straight through the monster horde as if it wasn’t even there.
The way he strolled through—free, effortless, almost casual—immediately drew attention from the other adventurers.
"Holy crap! With this many mobs, how is he dodging them all?!"
"That footwork is insane—he’s cracked! Even better than me, and I’m an assassin!"
"Did you see that?! He literally skimmed past my blade—how the hell did he dare?!"
The adventurers were completely stunned by the display. More than a few even stopped fighting their own monsters, trying to take pictures and record the moment.
Caelan didn’t care.
All he wanted was to hurry, reach the entrance to the 99th floor, and get inside to kill the Cataclysm Beast!
Floor 7.
Floor 23.
Floor 49...
He got faster and faster, until eventually those adventurers could only see a blur—an afterimage streaking past.
Even the monsters couldn’t react before Caelan vanished from their sight.
Some squads deeper within [Endless Abyss] were also shaken.
Many of them had spent more than ten hours fighting their way down to floor 49—
Only to watch a single figure flash by and dive straight into the entrance for floor 50.
A lot of those squads instantly felt their mental defenses crumble.
Grinding [Endless Abyss]... could be this easy?
How was that even fair?!
Before he knew it, Caelan had arrived on the 50th floor of [Endless Abyss].
For the Abyss as a whole, floor 50 was a dividing line.
Take one step back and you were still in the shallow layers.
Move forward, and you’d officially entered the deep Abyss.
Caelan stood on the ground of the 50th floor. At this point, there were no longer piles and piles of low-tier mobs.
From this floor onward, ordinary trash monsters were essentially phased out.
Any monster that appeared was, at minimum, elite-grade.
And yet—
Right then, Caelan spotted a nimble figure in the distance, sprinting desperately. But what was chasing her wasn’t a monster.
It was... adventurers?!
"Please! Just let me go! I’m only here to farm some experience—I don’t want to go any deeper!"
"You can’t force this—forcing it won’t make it sweet! There’s no reason to keep targeting me like this!"
Her voice was hoarse. You could tell she was genuinely panicking.
Close behind her was a tall adventurer mounted on a shadowfang.
He looked like a knight, clad head to toe in expensive armor. The violet emblem etched across his chest in particular made his status unmistakable.
"I’m warning you one last time. If you keep running, I’m going to make my move."
"Being chosen by our Violet Legion is your good fortune. Cooperate obediently—that’s your only option."
"If you refuse, I promise your end will be very, very ugly."
The knight’s face was vicious. The shadowfang beneath him let out a threatening roar as well.
Honestly, even he hadn’t expected such a small assassin to be this good at running.
He’d chased her through three floors already and still couldn’t even get close enough to touch her shadow.
But this time, the shadowfang had kicked into gear. Catching her was only a matter of time.
A high-quality piece of cannon fodder like this? No way he was letting her escape.
On the other side, the female adventurer was nearly at her limit.
She panted heavily, her chest feeling heavier and heavier with every breath.
Helplessly, she glanced down—unable to see her toes, which only made her more annoyed.
Ugh... this is so damn irritating. Wouldn’t it be better if I were a little smaller? This just gets in the way!
"Alright, alright! Stop chasing me!"
She suddenly halted and raised a hand, signaling surrender.
"I can cooperate with your Violet Legion—but only if you play fair, okay?"
"I’m a tiny assassin, and you want me fighting monsters on the front line. Who the hell does that?!"
"Don’t think I don’t know—you’re just treating me like cannon fodder!"
The knight snorted. The shadowfang had already moved to block her escape route.
"What cannon fodder? It’s just a different division of labor."
"Come on. Stop wasting our time."
