As South Grant entered, he saw Jared Grant scolding the housemaid.

At this moment, no one noticed that South Grant had come in.

This maid was relatively new, but because she was young and quite pretty, she had an ambiguous relationship with Shawn Grant and was often scolded by his wife.

However, since Shawn Grant protected her, his wife was helpless.

But now, for some unknown reason, she had angered Grandfather Jared Grant.

"Pack your things tomorrow, take this month’s salary, and leave The Grant Family immediately!" Jared Grant said angrily.

The maid looked innocent and said:

"Old Master, it really wasn’t my fault. You know, Seth isn’t quite right in the head. I was feeding him, and he suddenly knocked over the bowl. I didn’t mean to burn him."

Although the maid had an innocent look, her demeanor was one of fearless confidence.

The Grant Family had an older maid who was hired when Ian Grant was still around, and South Grant called her Mrs. Ford.

Mrs. Ford watched from the side, her anger flaring upon hearing Lili’s explanation.

"You’re lying! Seth is usually very well-behaved. He never throws tantrums. Besides, for Seth to be burned like that, the soup must have been boiling hot. What were you thinking, feeding him something at such a high temperature?"

As South Grant listened, the mention of Seth made her heart clench.

She could think of nothing else and ran to Seth’s room.

She saw that Seth’s right arm was covered with large blisters, slathered with blue burn ointment.

From his arm to the back of his hand, there were blisters all over.

Seeing this, South Grant felt as if a sharp blade had pierced her heart, and rage surged through her entire body.

She ran out of the room, poured a cup of boiling water, and splashed it towards Lili.

Shirley was wearing short sleeves, and the water landed directly on Lili’s shoulder, spilling down her entire arm.

With Lili’s scream, everyone snapped back to reality and saw what South Grant had done.

Everyone knew that Lili was Shawn Grant’s mistress kept in the house. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Lili had burned Seth and showed no signs of remorse or fear, only a brazen look.

Clearly, it was intentional!

She relied on Shawn Grant’s support or perhaps he had even instigated it!

Shawn Grant wanted to make things difficult for her but failed, so he resorted to bullying a mere seven-year-old!

Accompanied by Lili’s screams, everyone in the house came out to see. Fiona Grant emerged and immediately noticed the cup tightly gripped in South’s hand, as well as the blisters on Lili’s arm.

"South Grant!" Shawn Grant yelled in anger upon seeing the scene, "Elders are present, and you dare act so recklessly! Lili’s actions were unintentional. She already apologized to Seth, and yet you do this. Where’s your Grant Family dignity and civility?"

"Dignity and civility are reserved for people. What dignity do I need with someone worse than an animal?" South Grant glared at Shawn Grant with eyes cold as frost.

"You!" Shawn Grant was momentarily at a loss for words, then turned to Jared Grant: "Dad, look at South; he’s so young and already defying me, even insinuating I’m worse than an animal!"

"Uncle, if you so love to take it personally, even animals might take offense!" Comparing him to animals was likely an insult to them!

"Enough!" Jared Grant bellowed in anger.
