Chapter 265: Flashback - 5

"Mmm, that day when you had to leave... Damon didn’t mean to make you angry. He just said that ’cause he was worried about you."

Kael tried to explain so that the conversation could continue without becoming awkward.

"Yeah, I know. I got that later." Silas rested one hand on the other while looking around.

And then Kael stretched his hand and grabbed the cup in front of Silas—the one he had drunk from a while ago—and started to drink.

Silas quickly looked toward him after seeing that. And Kael’s heart was beating fast, just because Silas was looking at him.

Kael took a few sips and then also looked at Silas.

"By any chance, do you also want to drink tea?" he asked.

"Well, the tea you drank was mine. I had taken a sip from that, and then you drank it."

Kael’s face turned red from blushing, because that counted as an indirect kiss too.

And seeing that blushing face, Silas also realized it—so he looked away while blushing, but both of them were smiling.

"Actually, I really like the snow in your pack, and I wanted to look around. That’s why I decided I’d stay here for a few more days."

Hearing that, Kael’s eyes widened—he became so happy.

"Really? You’re gonna stay here even after the party? Then I’ll show you around our pack. There are many beautiful places here!"

Silas smiled gently. "I’m looking forward to seeing those places."

Again, it became silent there, so Silas started to eat pastries. And seeing him eating, Kael stretched out his hand toward Silas’s shoulder and was about to place his hand on it—but he was kind of nervous too.

But just as his hand was about to touch Silas’s shoulder, Silas looked at him.

So Kael quickly pulled his hand back like he was doing nothing, and he felt kind of guilty for trying to do something like that.

After that, Kael walked Silas back to his room and left from there.

In the evening, when Silas came out of his room, Kael was waiting for him outside, and he was all ready.

Silas’s coat was a celestial cascade of lavender and periwinkle, trimmed with delicate gold embroidery that shimmered like stardust.

The high collar framed his throat with dignified grace, while translucent, layered coattails—dyed like a fading dusk sky—fluttered with every movement, dusted with constellations of embroidered stars.

The vest, sculpted to his form, bore intricate patterns that mirrored the soft elegance.

Seeing him in that outfit, Kael couldn’t take his eyes off him. Just then, Silas hugged Kael’s arm, and they both started walking, entering the party hall.

When they entered, everyone was shocked. It was unexpected—what they saw was an unexpected pair.

Silas hadn’t noticed, but all four brothers were beside him, even though he was hugging Kael’s arm, with the other three trailing behind him.

After noticing how everyone was staring at him with wide eyes and murmuring among themselves, Silas finally glanced back and saw Lysander and Damon smiling at him, while Theron was avoiding eye contact.

His eyes widened as well upon seeing this, and he quickly pulled Kael closer, still holding his hand.

"What are your brothers doing behind us? I mean, when did they get here? How come I didn’t notice?"

But what could he even do, even after he noticed it? After that, Lysander and Damon went to their father and mother, who were sitting on the throne, and Kael and Theron also left, leaving Silas alone there.

Kael had told Silas to wait for him for five minutes and that he would return. Those alphas, who had only heard about Silas’s beauty and never had the chance to see him in real life, could now gaze at him. And it was true—he was the most beautiful, more than any other omega.

When Silas was standing there alone, no one dared approach him since the four brothers had entered with him. Silas was getting bored while standing there, so he started looking around. Just then, someone approached.

"May I have the honor to stand beside you?"

Hearing that, Silas looked to his left, where an alpha came and stood beside him, smiling. Silas returned the smile.

"You know, you are so beautiful. In fact, this is the first time I’m seeing something so valuable in real life," he said.

Silas glanced at that guy—and he was handsome too.

"You’re also handsome," Silas commented.

"Really? Do you think I’m handsome? Well, no one ever told me that, so I didn’t know. I thought I was just... an ugly boy," the guy said, looking at Silas without blinking.

And when Theron noticed that someone was talking to Silas, he came over—even though his brothers were still busy talking with their parents.

As Theron arrived and stood in front of Silas, both Silas and the guy turned their attention to him.

"Theron!"

Theron stared at the guy standing beside Silas and then stepped between them without saying a word. And the guy immediately understood why Theron had done that.

"Then I’ll leave now—but remember, my name is Krivan."

Saying that, Krivan walked away, still glancing at Silas until he was gone.

"Theron, what are you doing here instead of staying with your parents?"

Theron looked at Silas and finally made eye contact. The moment he did, he became shy, and his cheeks flushed.

"I’ll stay here with you," he said, then looked away again.

"Theron, thank you—but don’t you think you should talk to me instead of just looking around? I’m bored."

Theron glanced at him from head to toe again.

"Well... you’re looking beautiful... today."

"Ohh, it’s an honor to hear a compliment from you, Theron, ’cause you don’t look like someone who would give me one," Silas said in a teasing tone. ƒreeωebnovel.ƈom

Seeing Theron all shy, Silas grabbed his hand, which made Theron’s ears turn red. When Silas noticed this, he couldn’t help but laugh.

"You know, you’re kind of cute, Theron."
