Peace and quiet? Yeah, that was a dream that Walker could have if he weren't in the thick of the chaos.

He knew that putting aside everything else and focusing on the bond he knew he and Alice had yet to properly affirm was going to come with a lot of business and bustle. But he had no idea just how much would be going on. 𝘧𝓇ℯ𝑒𝓌𝑒𝑏𝓃𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭.𝒸ℴ𝓂

His little sister, genius as she was had forced him to try on several different robes, suits, and other attire from different races traditional wedding attire. Some were made to replicate the bonds formed for elves and how they would look toward nature for their bonds for a lifetime.

There were the somewhat similar to battle attire that the demi-humans used to show that the couple were binding with one another to fight against the world. Proving that their bonds would live beyond what could be said as any force against them.

Yet, the same feeling of unity in that bond was portrayed by every single race's cultures in weddings. For Walker though, he felt that he wanted something that spoke to who he and Alice were.

He also realized that Alice had already been trying on dresses and his little sister had managed to hide that even from him. The dress being kept within a metal lined cabinet that was covered in runes. Not just formations that brought mana to protect it, but kept Walker from looking easily for it to ruin the surprise. He was able to break apart the manas there but he didn't want to ruin it.

Eventually, after several hours, his sister had made a set of dress robes with sewn designs depicting the flow of elemental manas building a scene of peace and growth. It was similar to a garden but it was met with various symbols representing each race. She has crafted a story to share with everyone about how he had gained his standing and strength.

It felt like he could display these dress robes within a museum some day. Not as just his marital robes but as evidence of what had shaped him as a hero in the annals of history.

This was followed by his father grabbing him and making him choose how much security would guard the ceremony grounds. How many people would be allowed to be there? Who would be in attendance. What the strength of each guard should be. He felt like his own father was more focused on protecting him and the guests than actually being there to stand with his family at the ceremony!

It was nothing compared to his mother though. Her focus on the food and how the celebratory feast would go was intense and specific. She had already sourced various herbs from gardens that he didn't even know had developed food related herbs to such a higher tier that he wondered if his mother had secretly begun some form of deal with Remey to create those herb gardens.

This on top of the rarer meats and vegetables being brought in, he wondered if this wedding would cost more than what Genesis could spend to build the next village or mining settlement. It felt like Walker and Alice would be marrying one another and leaving only a single gold coin in remnants for their future.

With all this came the fact that Gil and Onyx were the only two left around Walker. Remey, Su, and Midnight were with Alice leaving them separated entirely. Most things were decided while they weren't together.

Luckily, Gil had given Walker some advice. "I know you are all in love with her and you have all these brains to be smart, but you will be broken by your own emotions when you see her. The ceremony takes different pieces from all the races within Genesis so it's going to be interesting and simplified, but the second you look at her and feel everything you might find it hard to open your mouth."

Walker wanted to argue with Gil that he would not be that way, but he realized he was inexperienced. He wasn't at the forefront of something like this. He was basically a new blood thrown in to an advanced crafting workshop wishing he had a basic education.

"Brother, I have learned that the ceremony should be filled with symbolism and truths you believe stand as a true example of your feelings. You can use all the magic you have, but you need it to feel the same as how you feel."

The way that Onyx explained it was taken from those he had asked about how their bonding rituals, marriages, and ceremonies had gone. It was a wonder how Onyx had managed to communicate with so many people. Yet, also something that felt natural. Onyx was surprisingly chatty with those he met, most likely something that became more prevalent since he was also a leader of his own race now.

"I already know what I am going to say. I already have an idea of what I am going to do too." He wasn't waiting for much else, he knew what he had to say was a combination of the things he had seen before.

The thoughts of the new ring on Alice's finger being the wedding ring that they would show off more clearly at their ceremony, stayed in his mind. The small elemental gems allowing for multiple manas and natural mana to be stored was just simply to allow for the feeling of his presence to always be with her was enough. But the connection he could have with her told him that she was always within his reach now, even if they were cities and kingdoms apart.

It also had one of the smallest communication crystals ever made placed within it. Enough to prove that whatever they had together was enough to call for one another at all times. It was a testament of their connection in physical form. It also matched a small ring that Walker wore as a necklace and connected to the eternal codex even more so enhancing their bond with magic as a whole.

"Hey! You need to understand that this is also going to be shared with the whole of Genesis. Just like your speeches, the dwarves are setting up a bigger and better magical device to send images of the ceremony and your vows to everyone. It's going to be proof of everything happening and the further start of the new communication network being made by Genesis."

Gil wasn't wrong. It was a lot to take in since there were so many people who would have a part in what was going to happen.

Plenty of people have been developing this aspect of crafting and information sharing. The communication crystals were amazing. Smaller versions were also amazing. But right now, the ability to use water magic, rune formations, Dwarven communication crystals, and even the multiple other interconnected crafting pieces used in the control of golems or unique crafting was coming to the stage.

People called it many things and some were not very accepting of it just yet since it all sounded so fanciful. But it was a surety that instead of just the main forces of the higher ranked guards and leaders using these things, that the people would be as well. Free and open access to the news through more than communication crystals, newspapers, and letters was here and the communication guild was paired with the education guild, newly formed, were going to make it so.

So many people would witness with only a few moments separation the very real events happening before everyone. Not only this, but the wedding was being held in fron t of the Genesis building. The open square cleared and the monuments guarded so that on the very steps where the Genesis building had announcements and speeches could hold the largest wedding yet.

Gil had joked a hit about Walker upstaging him and Alma, but there was a difference. This was not just a bind of races. It was a way to show everyone and everything that even those who were considered the top of the top were still the same as the average citizen.

They had love, bonds, family, and emotions that they pursued. Therefore, they could be related not as some deity standing tall above them, but as a friend of fellow citizens living their dreams and working together to achieve them.

That was the biggest message other than what Walker and Alice were sharing with one another.

"I just think that you should spend the time being happy brother, you deserve to live normally." Onyx shared this and Walker decided to dampen his senses and relax. Onyx was right. He was pushed to being on high alert at all times. So, why not relax and let himself enjoy this miraculous moment?
