"What do you mean you don’t have any potions to help with nerves right now?" Su was the one reprimanding Remey. It was an odd sight for Alice who had a slightly nervous smile plastered on her face.

Then again, it was all fair for her to be nervous, excited, and overall just full of chaotic energy right now. Her mind was certainly not rested since she found it nearly impossible to sleep. She had been waiting for this moment and also generally waiting for herself to also be able to put aside a moment to just be the girl she was.

Whether or not she was the greatest saintess or the only one holding such a title right now didn’t even bother her. She could easily stand tall as one of the best healers and leaders that the church possessed now that it had changed from older traditions.

She had led a change from older ways focused on the politics and rankings that the church followed. Ignored the obsession with gods and focused on the moral reasons that the church existed for.

The healing of all. The protection of all. The health of all. The bonding of community.

These things were all supposed to be the primary function of a church within a community. Not power or expectation of payment for healing. With Genesis being Genesis, the fact that the church prioritized the people made it an anchor for the foundations of the community. The elderly and the children could rely on it as a safe place to spend time without the aches of growth or age getting to them.

With a deep breath Remey and Su stopped bickering as Midnight perked her head up from the small plate of snacks she had been enjoying while they waited. Alice had let out a deep breath causing the light to dance about in the air before standing up and walking out the door.

The three girls all looked at one another and darted to follow and support her. The flow of white and diamond reflecting light in to rainbows around Alice came with her humming. A song of hope and excitement. Determination being portrayed in the rays of luminescent light.

Each of the three had their own comments while they watched the crowded square part ways for Alice walking. Her steps echoed in the silence of everyone. They had all lost any thought of speaking when the veiled face of Alice came to be seen today. Awe, beauty, and pure joy were the three most prominent responses. A few looked jealous but that was just how some would feel realizing that someone of such high esteem was putting aside everything to share a bond with someone else right now.

As Alice walked, she spotted Walker’s elegant robes reflecting mana. He was channeling pure and unfiltered manas all around him. Yet, the rainbows he made to match her humming song were using every elemental mana he could control. He mixed them in to vibrant colors. He even seemed to bring the breath of nature to the square causing some with more sensitive minds and hearts to tear up.

I would claw my way from the depths of the unknown just to sit beside you in silence. Your songs tell of absolute wonders. Your actions show off untold sacrifice for the betterment of others. You deserve all my titles and accomplishments and then some. I offer you my life and all that I will ever achieve. No matter how time may bring us apart in our efforts, know that you are forever home within all that I am and ever will be."

Walker’s words were not spoken with his mouth. They came through mana. It was a proclamation from himself to existence. Whether or not that was heard or even possible, those who felt his intentions understood.

Walker couldn’t consider another as his perfect other half. He had been smitten the moment he met Alice. And through supporting her and her supporting him they had achieved incredible parts and pieces of what they needed to be to make the most for the people they wished to protect. Even more so, they had taken their time to reach this moment by sacrificing opportunities to be with one another.

Every aspect they gave up was worth it for the people. Now, they stood to unite themselves.

"Hero I chase, I offer you all that I am. I may give more to the people and stand beside my title, yet my title stands for the goals I possess. I may be a saintess, but I am also one who chases a hero. To stand beside you. To call you an equal. To call you mine. I wish nothing more than to feel our souls intertwine and last for all of time and then more. I know that I will be the pillar of my family. The pillar of our lineage to be passed on so that we may continue to stand for the people. First, offer your hand to me so that I may climb these steps and have our binds cemented for all to see, even the greatest of powers beyond our control."

Alice responded, her words causing the light mana to bend and form in to a linking white chain between them. Proof that she had accepted him and he too. Whether it was more than symbolic, no one could know. Even the leaders of Genesis arrived to act as witness to their oaths and saw the combined cultures here.

They saw that the chains linking came from the demons and how they believed souls of binds were linked together entirely. The demi-human styling of their clothing shows the connections to prosperity and unity of a people. The natural runes relating to the elves and echidna. The flowing water in fountains relating to the merfolk and the tides of change moving toward another life.

So many more symbolic aspects grew all for there to be more and more evidence that this ceremony was changing the ways that people would bind from now on. That marriage was both culture and spiritual. That the bonds between people would only strengthen Genesis and its people as a whole.

’The true hero and the saintess have accepted one another. All those present will be gifted with the title, those who witnessed love’s bond. This title does not have any abilities and serves as the word’s will to share prosperity with those that stand to protect it.’

The world’s will had acted. It was astounding but not outside of what could be called expected. The world’s will was mysterious but Walker and everyone else had come in to contact with it time and time again. Events of great significance were always somewhat influenced by the will of the world. Skills Walker had gained or the changes toward the people and classes.

The will of the world commenting here just proved that something more was out there for the couple and for the ways that they had already influenced the people and the world itself. Proof that they were on a path entirely unique and deserved this moment.

With this, the entire crowd burst out. The words of others speaking drowned in to one another. As Walker and Alice shared a moment between one another, no one could say that they were not perfectly built for each other. They stood at the top of what they meant to be for everyone. They would not fail to grow together further while also remaining as central figures for everyone.

Their unity toward was both a show of the unity of the people and also of the bonds that made Genesis what it was. It was proof that Genesis had come together. And also a promise that Genesis was not a people of many races but a people of one. They were a people standing together and the races that they had was part of their culture becoming part of a new culture that would be greater than any seen before.

Gil helped make a path for the two to enter the cathedral for the main ceremony where they would have a private moment. Family and those close to them. The larger ceremony outside for the people was over, it felt like it lasted days with all the pressure but realistically, it had been a short half hour of talking and moments together.

Right this second, it was all about Alice and Walker. Their bond, their journey, and their future. No one else would have it any other way right this second.
