Master Bai! This Celestial Fox Spirit Is Asking For Divorce-Chapter 381: Episode 41.1 Don’t Mess With This Alpha!
While Shen Yuan slept in deep, rejuvenating rest, he remained completely unaware of what unfolded beyond his dreams.
He didn’t know that his usually silent, steady husband had stepped forward on his own—seeking out Chairman Mao Huanlong and asking to be taken directly to Lee Jinhyuk, whom Xia Jinhai was currently interrogating.
Shen Yuan is blissfully unaware that his husband was out for revenge in his stead while he is sleeping in his office.
"Bai Tingfeng, I understand what you are feeling right now, but I ask you to be calm and understanding. We made a lot of painstaking efforts just to catch this man. Do not let your emotions get the best of you and ruin what we have achieved so far." Chairman Mao worriedly said to the young alpha as they walked through the halls of Diyu.
Obvious from his tone that he rejected Bai Tingfeng’s request to meet Lee Jinhyuk. However, his rejection was utterly rejected by the young man. This brings them to the current predicament—stopping Bai Tingfeng from killing the Cardinal member.
The interrogation room is just up ahead, so Chairman Mao is desperate— kind of.
"Chairman Mao," Bai Tingfeng suddenly stopped on his tracks. "Please stop talking to me like you are talking to my husband. You don’t have to worry. I am patient and level-headed."
Chairman Mao was caught off guard by the young man.
"That was reassuring." He said, even though his face spells the word skeptically letter by letter. "Good thing we are on the same page."
The two of them carried until they stopped in a lone, dark corner where a door with bright red writings overhead, Interrogation Room.
Chiarman Mao reached out for the doorknob but stopped when he remembered something important. "Before we enter, can you promise me that you will just watch Jinhai do his job?"
The two men locked in a stare-down. Then, Bai Tingfeng just smiled.
"You! You are worse than Shen Yuan!"
Before Chairman Mao could regret his decision to lead Bai Tingfeng to the interrogation room, Bai Tingfeng went ahead and opened the door.
He marched inside and opened another steel door.
Bang!
"What the fuck?!" Xia Jinhai, who never said swear words, cursed out of shock. His eyes became exponentially bigger under his glasses upon seeing Bai Tingfeng enter the room.
For a moment, he forgot about Lee Jinhyuk, who is currently pale and in a daze thanks to the aftereffects of Chairman Mao’s lightning and prolonged questioning.
"What is the meaning of this, Bai Tingfeng? Did Chairman Mao give his permission?"
As if to answer his question, Chairman Mao peeked through the open door— lips on a straight line and shaking his head.
"I will not interrupt your interrogation, I promise. I just want to give your friendly terrorist here a piece of my mind." Bai Tingfeng said, his voice clear and free from emotional ripples that Chairman Mao and Xia Jinhai were expecting.
The clear-headedness he is showing almost won Chairman Mao and Xia Jinhai’s trust.
Chairman Mao paused, thoughtful. At this rate, there’s nothing he could do to stop Bai Tingfeng now, huh?
And now, he can totally see the difference between Bai Tingfeng and Shen Yuan.
If you can still reason out and coax Shen Yuan to do things he didn’t want, then Bai Tingfeng is the exact opposite! He is the kind who would bulldoze his way to getting what he wants!
This is especially the case when his loved ones are involved.
"I will just forget that you barged into the interrogation room," Chairman Mao said with a sigh. "And do your best to do the one thing I ask you."
Bai Tingfeng sighed.
He then answered almost mechanically. "Thank you, Chairman Mao."
’Without even affirmations!’ Chairman Mao flattened his lips.
For the first time, he wished he hadn’t talked to that brat, Shen Yuan.
"Then I suppose we’ll watch from the other side of the wall," Xia Jinhai said, rising from his chair. He gave Bai Tingfeng one last wary look before leaving with Chairman Mao.
With the room finally to himself, Bai Tingfeng took his time observing the man he’d been so determined to confront and the shithole they were in.
Lee Jinhyuk looked nothing like the person he had met before.
Gone was the bright, sunshine-warm smile and the cheerful eyes that seemed to flatter everyone they landed on.
Now, he looked as if he hadn’t seen daylight in years—ashen, hollow, and drained of life. Just like this matted black room they are in.
Bai Tingfeng took a deep breath in silence. The nerves in the palm of his hand are tingling.
"Y-you and your buddies can break my soul," Lee Jinhyuk slurred, sounding both drunk and drugged, "but you’ll never get the words you want from me."
"That’s okay. I just need you to take this for me." Without any warning, Bai Tingfeng grabbed Lee Jinhyuk’s hair before he slammed the man’s head into the table.
In an instant, the temperature inside the room dropped, and the stifling air of violence started to overwhelm all of its corners.
The threatening pheromones unique to alphas of this world flooded the room like water, drowning Lee Jinhyuk, who is in great pain!
"Arghhh!" The poor warp gate user could only groan in pain because, aside from physical weakness, he was also handcuffed to the table.
"Oh my god," Back to the viewing area, Chairman Mao and Xia Jinhai’s jaws dropped to the floor— almost literally.
Mad Bai Tingfeng is wild!
"This is for stabbing my husband with a Mage Killer back in the Taiyuan Ice Dungeon." Bai Tingfeng’s cold, unfeeling voice carries unfathomable rage. It made not only Lee Jinhyuk shiver but also the two people watching outside.
And Bai Tingfeng is far from over.
Smack!
This time, Bai Tingfeng punched Lee Jinhyuk squarely on the left cheek. The impact of the punch was so great that his entire body swerved to the left like a pendulum.
"Shit!" Chairman Mao felt his molars ache, witnessing that punch.
"This one is for trying to kidnap my son!" Bai Tingfeng said before his fist landed on the other man’s right cheek. "And this is for all the threats you made to my family!"
"Arghhh... S-stop..." Lee Jinhyuk whimpered in pain.
However, instead of wavering, the anger and indignation that were burning in Bai Tingfeng’s chest only intensified, seeing how pathetic the terrorist was now.
"Stop?" Bai Tingfeng grabbed Lee Jinhyuk by the hair and pulled it up. "That is what I wanted you and your nasty group to do. Stop messing with my family, but did you ever stop? No, you did not. And instead, you always come back with an attack more vicious and heartless than the former, so why should I listen to your plea?"
Lee Jinhyuk’s groans turned into cries of pain as the tug on his hair intensified. But despite his horrible cries, Bai Tingfeng remained still. His heart is like an unmovable boulder, devoid of conscience.
Forget about holding back. Bai Tingfeng didn’t even have qualms about intensifying the release of his pheromones to burst the lungs of Lee Jinhyuk.
"Uhk! I-I am—" Lee Jinhyuk spoke with great difficulty, but whatever agony he is in, Bai Tingfeng didn’t bat an eyelash.
He continued giving a piece of his mind, just like what he promised to Chairman Mao.
"You and your group only care about your pain— your goals. You don’t care if you put innocent people in danger as long as you guys get what you want, so why on earth would you expect people to pity?"
Bai Tingfeng pulled harder. Lee Jinhyuk’s screams became louder.
A murderous glint flashed in the former’s eyes, then a white light covered his fingertips.
"Whatever horrible fate is coming to you and your group was deserved."
Riiiip!
"S-son of a— ahhhh!" Lee Jinhyuk convulsed in pain when his entire scalp detached from his skull!
Even though he was basically chained to the bolted table, he still somehow managed to drop to the floor and roll around in agony.
The door to the interrogation room burst open just around the same time for Bai Tingfeng to recall his leaked pheromones.
"Hurry! Call for medic!" Chairman Mao’s urgent voice thundered from the outside first before he came in.
"Bai Tingfeng..." The old alpha was completely at a loss for words. Yes, he didn’t kill Lee Jinhyuk, but he scalped him, in such a boorish way at that!
After this, he must remind himself to never ever touch the bottom line of this young alpha!
"I will leave him in your care now, Chairman Mao," Bai Tingfeng said, walking past the chairman. Then, as though remembering something, he looked back. "If he was uncooperative before, then maybe now he would be more than happy to strike a deal to reattach his scalp."
Chairman Mao’s facial muscles twitched even though he didn’t intend to. A knot suddenly formed in his stomach. "Don’t tell me you did this for me?"
Bai Tingfeng just smirked. He doesn’t know about helping, but surely, now his anger and thirst for blood are back at a stable green level.
