Chapter 91: Kesan Canyon III

A faint tremor ran through the ground.

Blade's eyes snapped open. He wasn't imagining it. Something had shifted.

Granny smiled faintly. "That's it... don't stop now."

Blade pushed forward, his body running on sheer willpower. The engravings on the wall began to glow, faint at first, then growing brighter with every swing of his sword. The light traced the figure of the ancient swordsman in the engravings, illuminating the path of the dance.

Suddenly—BOOM!

The wall behind the engravings rumbled and cracked, revealing a hidden passage leading into the depths of the canyon. A gust of ancient air rushed out, carrying the scent of earth and something... powerful.

Blade staggered, barely keeping himself from collapsing. He turned to Granny, chest rising and falling heavily. "I knew it... there was something here."

Granny rolled her eyes in response as he said " yeah yeah, the same kid who lost interest so easily" She said as she added " lets just go and see what's inside"

Blade nodded as he sat cross-legged for a moment, regaining his stamina. After a short rest, he stood up.

"Let's see what's inside," he said, standing up and beginning to walk into the open pathway.

Blade stepped forward, his boots echoing slightly against the damp stone floor as he entered the hidden passage. The air inside was cool and carried a faint metallic scent, mixed with the dampness of an underground cavern. The dim light from the waterfall barely reached inside, leaving most of the passage shrouded in darkness.

After walking for a few minutes, the narrow tunnel widened into a massive underground cave. Stalactites hung from the ceiling like jagged fangs, and a faint blue glow illuminated the space, coming from bioluminescent moss growing along the walls. The cave felt ancient, untouched for centuries.

At the center of the cave, resting on a raised stone altar, were three items: a sword, an armor set, and a book.

Blade's eyes locked onto the sword first. It was unlike anything he had ever seen. The blade was sleek and pitch black, with faint golden engravings running along its length. It emitted a quiet hum, as if it were alive.

"A Legendary sword," he murmured, stepping closer.

Next to the sword lay a set of armor—dark, lightweight, and designed for mobility. The material was unknown to him, but it had an eerie, almost fluid-like texture, as if it could shift and adapt to its wearer.

Finally, his eyes landed on the book. The cover was old, made of an unknown dark leather, with no title or markings except for a single golden emblem in the center. Something about it felt powerful.

" I didn't think you will gain another sword instead" Granny said as he looked at the Legendary Sword in his hand and the Legendary Armor.

"This one is a memoir," Old Granny said, looking at the old book. "It should explain why this armor and sword are here," she added as Blade nodded.

He picked up the book and activated [ Blacksmith Insight ], the most powerful appraisal skill he possessed. A surge of energy flowed through him as information appeared before his eyes.

[ Alabatino Blacksmith Mastery ]

The book contains the experiences and insights of a blacksmith who reached the peak of mastery but was unable to ascend to the level of a Legendary Craftsman.

He spent his final days gazing upon the sword and armor crafted by the legendary blacksmith Pagma, yet he could never create anything comparable.

Upon using this book, your blacksmith level will be raised to Mastery Level.

[ Condition of Use: Whoever finds this book ]

Blade's eyes widened. This was no ordinary memoir—it was a legacy left behind by a master smith, one that could push his blacksmithing skills to the next level.

"To think something like this was just sitting here," he muttered.

Granny nodded. "It seems fate has led you to it."

Blade clenched the book tightly—not out of happiness, but frustration. Months of continuous effort to raise his blacksmithing skill to the intermediate level flashed through his mind. All the struggles, the failures, the countless hours spent refining his craft... and now, with a single book, all of that could be skipped.

"Don't," Old Granny said firmly, seeing the emotions swirling in his eyes.

"You must be thinking that if you'd found this sooner, you wouldn't have had to go through so much. But it's not that simple," she added. "Even if you suddenly gain the skill, your experience hasn't gone to waste. Now, with everything you've learned, you can use this knowledge even better."

Blade exhaled slowly, her words sinking in. She was right. All the hardships, all the lessons—none of it was meaningless.

"Yeah... you're right," he admitted, nodding. Without hesitation, he activated the book's power.
