Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 52: Blind parrot
Ashton couldn’t believe it, Mirabella actually knew his name.
Mirabella realized her mistake and turned away wanting to flee but Ashton appeared in front of her and grabbed her neck.
"How do you know his name?" Ashton interrogated sternly.
"I..I.." Mirabella was choking and could barely breathe as Ashton kept tightening his grip around her neck.
"Answer me!" He yelled and pushed her to the ground.
She fell to the ground, spitting out blood and gasped for air as she kept rubbing her neck.
"Mira!" Ashton yelled and she flinched before she glared at him.
"How dare you?!" She yelled.
"Acting stubborn huh?" He dashed towards her and grabbed her chin. "I won’t think about anything else but to kill you if you continue this act of yours." He growled and released her chin.
"You monster!" A familiar feminine voice shrieked and the guards made way for her to approach Ashton and Mirabella.
"What do you think you are doing, you demon?!" Charlotte shouted at Ashton who had no sign of guilt on his expression.
"I am a demon so why pronounce it like it is an insult?" Ashton asked with a scoff. "Unbelievable that you will support her."
"It is not her fault that the useless mage escaped!" Charlotte snapped.
"But she knows his name which means that she knows that he has been in Antica for a while." Ashton said and laughed. "Aren’t you a cute spy." He teased Mirabella who was glaring at him.
"You know nothing!" She hissed at him, her eyes turned into a yellow reptile-like form.
"Actually Mira, I know a lot. I know that your obsession will lead you to your grave soon and I also know that you are playing your own game thinking that you are smart but let me tell you something Mirabella, you are shaking, crumbling, you are not going to go anywhere with your games." Ashton ended his words with a deep laughter and stormed out of the throne room with all the guards behind him.
Charlotte rushed towards Mirabella looking furious.
"Mother I.." Mirabella was immediately cut off by her mother’s powerful slap.
Mirabella gasped and placed her hand on her affected cheek. "Mother!" She screamed.
"You want to end up in the dungeon too right? Or worse, die in the hands of Cyrus. You want to cause me pain and misery right?!" Charlotte screamed at her and Mirabella’s yellow reptile-like eyes blazed with anger. "Listen to me!" Charlotte pulled her ear.
"Mother!" Mirabella called out in pain.
"You will not ruin my plans, you will not scatter all what I have worked for all these centuries! So whatever game you are planning, destroy it!" Charlotte ends her words with a deep growl and pulls Mirabella’s ear harder.
"Ah! Mother! Stop please!" Mirabella cried out in pain.
Charlotte released her ear and slapped her hard again."Remember that pain and remember my warnings." She growled, turned away and stormed out of the throne room.
Mirabella bursted out crying and laid on the ground.
...
Sage gasped and opened her expecting to see sunlight, Cyrus, anything at all but instead, she saw nothing but darkness.
She screamed loudly. "I am blind!"
Her breathing became hard and forceful just thinking about it.
She inhaled deeply to calm herself down and realized that she was on a very soft and comfy bed.
Had they arrived at Empire City?!
"Cyrus!" Sage screamed hysterically and sat herself on the bed. "Cyrus, where are you?!" She kept screaming.
Unknown to her, she was in a beautiful room. She felt the cold yet comfortable temperature but was unaware of its beauty.
The walls were like blue ice with alluring carvings on them. The thick extravagant curtains were deep bringing color into the room due to the moonlight. The bed was covered in all white and was actually an ice bed.
Cyrus was seated on a chair in front of the bed staring at his wife who was screaming hysterically while seated in the middle of the bed.
She wasn’t blind but blindfolded with a black cloth that couldn’t be removed by anyone else but him.
"Cyrus!" Sage screamed and he smiled, shaking his head.
His parrot was really cute and interesting as usual.
"Oh my! Am I really blind?!" Sage was panicking.
She squealed and laid back on the bed grabbing the blanket at her side, brought it close to her and hugged it while whimpering dramatically.
"I am blind.. I haven’t seen a lot in my life!" She said and walked loudly. "I haven’t seen Katherine yet, Darren.. I haven’t seen Cyrus’.." she paused with a gasp and buried her face in the blanket.
Cyrus’ gaze focused on her, his smile unwearying.
"I haven’t seen the world without winter yet!" Sage shouted, sat herself and threw the blanket at his face. "Cyrus! Where are you?!"
Cyrus removed the blanket from his face and could tell that Sage was at the verge of bursting into tears.
"Cyrus!" She screamed, her voice shaky.
Cyrus sighed. He had tortured her enough.
"Foolish parrot, stop screaming out my name like that, I prefer you moan my name." He teased and chewed his lower lip.
Sage who didn’t expect him to speak gasped. "What are you saying?!" She asked angrily then gasped again, in realization. "Have you been there? In front of me?" She asked, offended.
"Do not worry, you are not blind, dear parrot." Cyrus told her calmly.
"Then why can’t I see? What is around my eyes?" Sage tried to reach the blindfold and untie it but she couldn’t find the place to untie it. "Why can’t I.."
"It is a magic blindfold, only I can untie it." Cyrus interrupted.
"What! Why?!" Sage asked in shock and rage.
"I just felt like doing it, to torture you." Cyrus unexpectedly answered.
"Wait! What?!" Sage couldn’t believe her ears! What was wrong with him?
"You are a maniac! I want to see!" She cried out.
"You will soon, in two days time. Till then, you are my blind parrot."
"I do not like this!"
"I do not want you to like it, parrot, two days, just two days and if you try anything, you will be blind for the rest of this trip."
"And I will have my revenge!" Sage screamed and pouted.
Cyrus smiled and rolled his eyes. "Of course,"
Sage laid back on the bed whining and Cyrus threw the blanket on her body.
"Are we in Empire City?" Sage asked, groaning lazily.
Cyrus hummed in response.
"Those dragons.. you said they are guards from the castle.. does it mean that there is someone in the castle that wants to kill you?" Sage asked worriedly and curiously.
Cyrus hummed again in response.
His gaze was on Sage sweeping her from head to toe continuously. She was in a white dress that matched with the bedsheets and blanket. Her gown pushed up making a bit of her laps exposed and her flaming red hair that spread on the bed made her look like an angel of seduction.
"Oh.. aren’t you worried?" Sage asked.
"Why should I be?" Cyrus asked and chewed his lower lip to suppress thoughts that would push him to devour her at that spot.
"Because your castle..."
"Ashton will take care of everything." Cyrus interrupted.
"And Mirabella?" Sage asked slowly.
"I am aware that she has been telling you a lot of things."
"A lot of things?! She is obsessed with you!." Sage shouted and scoffed in disbelief.
Cyrus nodded. "How does that make you feel?" He asked slowly.
"Disgusted..." Sage paused and sighed deeply. "She keeps threatening me." She complained.
"What you mean is that anyone who is obsessed with me disgusts you?" Cyrus suddenly asked, wanting an immediate answer.
Sage’s chest rose and fell heavily at his words making his eyes focus on her bosoms.
"I.. I do not mean it like that.. I.."
"I do not want to stutter my dear parrot, just answer my question." Cyrus interrupted, his voice stern.
"What do you want me to say?" Sage asked angrily.
"Your mind as well as your heart." Cyrus replied and stood up from his chair placing his hands in his pocket.
"What?!" Sage asked in disbelief.
"I want you to carry me in your heart parrot,"
Sage’s heart skipped a beat at his words. She wanted to scream out but she controlled herself and muttered, "Says the being with a frozen heart."
Cyrus’ lips twitched at her words.
He walked towards a couch that was next to the fireplace and took a bigger blanket which was black. He walked back to the bed and threw it on her covering her body.
"Go to sleep." He said.
"What? But I just woke up after you rendered me unconscious."
"I didn’t say go unconscious, I said go to sleep."
"No!"
"You are being a bad blind parrot that will end up being blind for the rest of this trip." Cyrus taunted and Sage groaned in frustration.
"My revenge is coming!" She shouted dramatically and Cyrus rolled his eyes smiling.
