Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 126: Addicted to your lips
It was so cold that she thought she would freeze to death, but gradually she began to feel warm, relieving her of her fear of freezing to death. But then she started to feel hot, as if she had fallen into liquid fire and was burning to death.
She screamed in agony, and as soon as her eyes opened, the burning sensation was gone, and she felt the room’s normal cold temperature, which was being warmed by the fire in the fire place. The room was gloomy and lonely, and she felt befuddled, pitiful, and sad.
She sat down to see herself dressed in a simple nightgown, her hair neatly combed, and she felt like she had bathed.
She hugged herself as she scanned the room for Cyrus or his nine-tailed fox, but there was none.
She wanted to know what had happened.
The fire image, why she felt like she was being burned to death, and why Cyrus made her pass out unexpectedly.
Her gaze was drawn to the balcony curtains. She sighed and rose from her bed, taking slow, careful steps in the direction she desired.
As she approached the balcony, she noticed Cyrus seated on the railing, his gaze fixed on the cloud-covered moon.
His white and black hair swayed to the side, and she couldn’t help but sighed deeply, knowing that he was probably fighting away his dark state, which was why it was revealing slowly.
Snowflake, curled up beside the railing, slept on the ground.
"Cyrus." Sage called slowly.
"You did not complete the scrolls." Cyrus murmured.
"I... I finished one, though it wasn’t very readable, but it was an image..."
"Do not stutter; it makes me think you are afraid of me, and being afraid of me will lead to me chaining you to a wall and torturing you." Cyrus spoke calmly despite the fact that she was frowning.
"You would never dare," she snarled.
"I will if you are afraid of me, dear parrot," he said quietly, laughing heartily.
Sage inhaled deeply. "You are going to fall off. Look at me." As she approached him, she expressed concern.
"Stay away for the time being; Ava will bring your dinner." Sage frowned as Cyrus murmured.
"I am not asking what happened to me earlier, even though I know you know what happened to me. All I want is for you to look at me." Sage became enraged.
"And what if I don’t?" Cyrus inquired flatly.
"Okay, but you don’t have to fight your dark state. He will take over no matter what." She didn’t want to argue anymore, even though it bothered her that he wouldn’t look at her.
She walked back into the room, her face flushed. "I have no idea what is going on." She sniffed and whispered to herself as she climbed onto the bed.
Sage wrapped herself in a blanket and tried to sleep with her eyes fixed on the fireplace all night.
She had a heavy heart, her mind was in chaos rewinding everything that had happened earlier that day, and tears began to flow out of her eyes, which she couldn’t notice because she was so deep in thought.
She blinked, her gaze still fixed on the fire place, only to see Cyrus standing there, blocking her view of the fire place.
His eyes were ice blue, and she could see glitter in them.
She sat down, faintly smiling, as he walked towards the bed, removed his shoes, and climbed onto it, sitting beside her.
"I.." He paused to look at Sage, who was looking away.
He approached her and cleared his throat. "I apologize." He apologized.
"Oh, please keep quiet," Cyrus smirked as Sage rolled her eyes.
"I sincerely apologize." He apologized once more.
Sage sighed and turned to face him. "Talk to me, don’t ignore me, and don’t tell me to leave." He nodded obediently when she told him.
Sage nodded as well. "Tell me what happened now."
"The wrath of the fire mage is an ancient scroll that connects a fire mage to Ioas’s lost flare, strengthening the fire mage. It both amplifies the mage and signals those who want the fire core of the fire mages." Sage’s eyes widened in surprise as Cyrus explained.
"Ioas’ flare? How did you get the scroll?" Sage was perplexed.
"I didn’t give you the scroll, I didn’t know that it was still existing." Cyrus moaned.
"What?! Who then?" Sage exclaimed in surprise.
"The water mage," replied Cyrus.
"Katherine." Sage sighed and called out.
Where had Katherine discovered the scroll?
Katherine was clearly unaware that the Statkus mages were after her fire core, and that giving her a scroll to strengthen herself was a bad idea.
"Do not be concerned; she is not a threat." Cyrus stated confidently.
Sage gave a nod. "I know,"
"I almost killed her today," Cyrus admitted calmly.
"What?!" Sage yelled angrily.
"Almost." Cyrus muttered.
Sage rolled her eyes and glared at him. "Do not dare to hurt her," she yelled.
"I am not going to hurt you, and if hurting her hurts you, I am not going to hurt her." Cyrus spoke softly and leaned in close to her.
Sage brushed her nose against his and smiled. "I am relieved," She laughed and walked away, resting her head on his arm.
Cyrus held her and made her lay comfortably, with her head on his laps.
He gazed lovingly at her as he caressed her hair, and she smiled, lost in those ice blue eyes of his that gazed at her like a treasure.
"I... I am afraid of hurting you." Cyrus admitted.
Sage pressed her hand against his cheek. "I appreciate it." She closed her eyes and whispered.
Cyrus’ brow furrowed in surprise and perplexity. "And for what?" He inquired.
"Thank you for informing me." Sage responded coolly.
"I have faith in you." Cyrus opened her eyes giggling as she whispered. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
"I am glad you do," she said, smiling.
"Do not allow me to hurt you," Cyrus advised her.
"I won’t." He planted a kiss on her lip, pulled away, and caressed her lower lip with his thumb.
"I am addicted to your lips." He abruptly stated.
Sage burst out laughing and grabbed his wrist. "I believe you should rest." She said this while kissing his thumb.
Cyrus nodded and chuckled. "That is excellent."
