Chapter 122: Calm down

"I am very pleased with you, parrot." Cyrus smiled as he removed his coat and tossed it on the bed.

Sage sat on the bed with her head bowed, lost in thought. She couldn’t get over the fact that Darren was a halfling and imagined Katherine’s terrifying encounter with the Statkus mages.

She swallowed and raked her fingers through her hair. "This cannot be happening." She grumbled in frustration.

"Thinking about it isn’t going to solve the problems on ground." Cyrus said, jolting her out of her reverie, and she looked at him, seeing him fold his shirt sleeves.

"I am glad you are aware of the problems on ground." Cyrus smiled as Sage feigned a smile and rolled her eyes.

"We both have major problems, but yours will almost certainly be resolved sooner than mine." Cyrus said with a smile as he walked over to the table where Sage’s books were kept.

Sage’s brow furrowed in perplexity at his statement. "How come you say that?" She inquired.

"That question cannot be answered by my tongue parrot; it is a seen answer." He flipped through the pages of the books, whispering.

Sage chewed her lower lips as she tried to understand Cyrus’ words, but Cyrus’ sudden laughter jolted her out of her thoughts.

"What?!" She screamed.

He turned to face her, hurling three unread scrolls at her, which she caught and stood up frowning.

"You enchanted your friend with a true reveal spell." Cyrus said with a sly grin.

"So?" Sage groaned raking her fingers into her hair..

Cyrus shook his head and approached her, cupping her face. "I am pleased with my dramatic overthinking parrot." He then kissed her on the lips, and she caught his lower lips, closing her eyes.

Cyrus, who had not expected her to do so, had a blank mind and widened eyes right away.

"I am suffering from a headache." She sucked his lips slowly, letting the scrolls fall to the ground.

"Then rest," Cyrus said quietly as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Please rest with me." Cyrus released her face, placing his hands gently on her waist, and she hissed seductively, grabbing the collars of his shirt.

"I will on one condition." Cyrus abruptly said, and Sage smiled against his lips before resuming slowly sucking them, causing him to blink rapidly, flustered by her.

"There are no conditions," she said quietly.

"Read every scroll before twilight." He abruptly said, and she gasped in surprise, pulling away from the kiss.

"What?!" She exclaimed, a deep frown on her face.

"I am dead serious, parrot." Cyrus smirked and kissed her passionately, bringing her body close to his.

Sage wrapped her arms around his neck, her fingers playing with his hair as she returned the passion that had slowly turned into hunger.

Sage felt her back land on the bed as Cyrus hovered over her. 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

Cyrus was extremely hungry for her, but he also wanted her to read those scrolls as he felt her hunger for him.

He swallowed, attempting to break the kiss, but found his hands untying the straps of her dress while still kissing her. He wanted to kiss every part of her and hear her moans and cries, but he still had his self control, hoping Sage wouldn’t destroy it.

He exhaled deeply. "Fuck!" He cursed with a deep groan and, against his will, he stopped untying her dress.

He broke the kiss, staring into her desire-filled eyes, revealing her desire for him, and he returned that hungry look before saying, "You have to read the scrolls before twilight."

Sage smiled seductively. "You know... I am capable of seducing you." She stated.

Cyrus couldn’t believe his ears and let out a small chuckle before pausing with a solemn expression that made Sage’s eyes widen.

"You have no idea how your breathing seduces me, my sexy parrot," he hissed and she gasped. "Your frown, your smile, the way you talk, scream, eat, your body movement, everything you do seduces me, my love," He whispered with great emotion and smirked charmingly as he finished his words.

Sage melted with a bright crimson face and smiled as Cyrus kissed her cheek.

"Now go finish those scrolls." He murmured, and she nodded slowly.

He got off her and turned away from her, inhaling deeply as he felt his extremely hard member twitch uncontrollably.

Sage sat down, rubbing her cheeks and smiling. Cyrus made her feel very loved, and her desire for him grew, causing her to rub her face in frustration.

She stood up from the bed, picked up the scrolls, and sat back down.

"Did River encounter the Statkus mages?" she asked, recalling Katherine.

"Yes, and he was stabbed." Cyrus responded by turning to face her.

"What?!" Sage was taken aback. "And Katherine..."

"Safe. Do not be concerned." He reassured her, and she slowly nodded.

She bowed her head and placed the scrolls in her laps. "Will I be justified in blaming myself?" She inquired abruptly.

"No." Cyrus replied, his gaze fixed on her.

"What exactly do you think they did to Katherine? She appears to have been traumatized by the encounter and... my birth opened the portal."

"Enough!" Cyrus became enraged and raised his voice.

Sage exclaimed and looked at his enraged expression.

What had happened?

"Worrying about your problems will not solve them! Putting the blame on yourself will not solve your problems! You must face your problems and fight them, rather than worrying or blaming yourself and waiting for them to destroy you!" He yelled angrily as Sage stared at him with her tear filled eyes.

Cyrus’ frown became even more pronounced. "Go through the scrolls." He growled, walked to the door, and opened it, coming to a halt. "Calm down, everything will be fine." He added this time calmly and walked out of the room, slowly closing the door behind him.

Sage rubbed her eyes with her hands as Cyrus’ words echoed in her head.

He was correct, and she was well aware of it.

She sniffed and forced a smile, turning her gaze to the fireplace, where Snowflake was sitting, staring at her intently.

"What is it, Snow?" He titled his head slowly to the side, not looking away from her, as she inquired.

She smiled, got off the bed placing the scrolls on the bed and walked towards the nine tailed fox who glared at her murderously.

She placed her hands on her knees smiling at the fox. "Where are Venus and Ares? Are you lonely without them? You can go meet Cyrus," Sage said happily at the cute nine tailed fox but he wasn’t looking away from her and staring directly into those blue slit eyes, like a mirror, she saw Cyrus in his dark state in those eyes.

His intense stare, his long dark hair and expressionless expression. Sage held her breath and fell on her butt.

"Why are you showing me this?" She asked trembling in fear.

Snowflake walked closer to her but she moved back, got on her feet and dashed towards the door. "Stay away!" She screamed grabbing the door’s handle.

Snowflake stood in front of her and titled his head to the side staring at her.

Sage’s eyes widened as her gaze focused on his tail.

"The tips!" She exclaimed in shock seeing the tips of Snowflake’s white tail, black. "Oh no!"
