Married To The Last Ice Dragon-Chapter 116: Unexpected visitors
He was sound asleep with his wife in his arms when she began pushing him. He realized she had been summoned to the sea of blood and let her sleep walk around the room in circles for a while before she went to the balcony and climbed onto the railing.
He followed her and discovered she was just standing there without aiming to do anything at all.
The wind blew her hair backwards, her gown stuck to her body, and it was such a perfect view for him that he didn’t bother removing her from the land of the sea of blood.
When he heard her call his name in panic, he ran towards her, grabbed her by her gown-covered legs, and dragged her back to the room, where he placed her on the bed.
Sage stared at Cyrus as she heaved a sigh of relief, while he looked at her as if he was about to devour her.
"Are you afraid of the land of the sea of blood, or of coming out of it and seeing yourself on the verge of death?" Cyrus inquired dully.
"May I say both?" Sage asked, inhaling deeply. "It was quite terrifying though, being swallowed by a sea of blood," She added with a slight shrug.
Cyrus hummed, tilted his head to the side, and leaned in close to hers. "What happened?" He asked in hushed tones.
"A dead mage taught me patience." Sage replied sluggishly and leaned back in the bed.
"Oh?" Cyrus inquired staring at her nipples visible through the gown.
"And there was a massive wave of blood about to swallow me. He told me that it would take me to my mother, but that there was a one hundred percent chance that it would also kill me." Sage said and groaned in frustration.
"Is that so?" Cyrus asked absentmindedly, his gaze still fixed on her nipples.
"It is so. I really want to meet my mother, but I am not emotionally, mentally, physically, or spiritually prepared." Sage groaned again, digging her fingers into her hair.
"So you are not afraid of drowning in a sea of blood, but of seeing her?" Cyrus inquired and hovered over her.
Sage gasped in surprise as Cyrus grinned at her before catching her covered nipple between his teeth.
She felt her throbbing region between her legs itch and placed her hands on Cyrus’ shoulders, holding her breath as she felt his cold tongue grace her nipples.
"Answer me, parrot," Cyrus said quietly as he moved his gaze to her face.
She swallowed after a long sigh. "I am not ready to see her." Sage replied.
"You should wait until you are ready; there is no need to rush." Cyrus climbed off her and pulled her arms, saying, "Come on, we should bathe together then have breakfast in the dining room."
Sage let him pull her up by her arms, then smiled as he wrapped his arms around her. "Ashton didn’t tell Ava to bring the dinner." She muttered and shook her head.
"Oh?" Cyrus inquired, planting a kiss on her lips.
Sage laughed and pursed her lips. "Can we have breakfast with everyone?" She inquired unexpectedly.
"Everyone?" Cyrus inquired.
"Ashton, Mirabella, Isabella, Stefan, Charlotte, the lords who are still present, general Samuel..."
"You lost me at Stefan. That fool did not even leave the castle to find the water mage." Cyrus grumbled angrily and rolled his eyes. "I am only sparing him because he is your brother." He added with a growl and hugged Sage tightly.
"Advise him so I do not kill him and make you cry," he mumbled, burying his face in her hair.
Sage laughed and rolled her eyes. "Come on, let’s go take a bath; I am starving." She told him to take his attention away from Stefan.
"Very well." He whispered and hugged her tightly.
....
In the castle’s kitchen, Chef Owen was seen in serving delicious dishes on plates that the maids carried and carried to the dining room.
Everyone in the castle was up early that morning because they had heard there would be a big breakfast.
Ava smiled as she entered the kitchen and smelled the food. She met Owen, who smiled at her.
"Are you not dressing up the queen?" Owen asked, a smile on his face.
Ava laughed.
"Hello!" Isabella, who appeared healthy and beautiful, barged into the kitchen, a bright smile on her face.
"My lady," Owen and Ava bowed to her.
"Thank you very much," She giggled, clearly excited about the breakfast that would be held that morning.
"The whole castle smells delicious, dear Owen," she giggled, elegantly waving her hands.
"It is too bad you can not eat the castle, my lady," Ava said mockingly as she walked out of the kitchen.
Isabella grumbled angrily and opened her mouth. "Didn’t you notice how impolite she was to me?" She asked Owen angrily and stormed out of the room.
Owen shook his head and continued to cook.
Meanwhile, all of the lords remained in the castle and were making their way to the dining room. They were conversing and laughing, while Bronx maintained a serious expression despite his excitement about the event that would take place that morning.j
"I was stunned to hear that the queen had brought a runaway water mage to the castle," Lord Marius said, shaking his head in disbelief.
"Absolutely despicable, but no trial will be held because the king will not be able to make his wife unhappy." Bronx rolled his eyes and huffed.
Gael shook his head and smiled at the lord. "I am just hoping this breakfast goes well." He muttered something.
A yell suddenly echoed loudly through out the castle, "My king!" And Arthur ran past the lords almost like the wind.
The lords halted their steps looking stunned and curious.
"What has happened?" Marius asked with a gasp.
"We will know soon," Bronx grumbled.
Gael hummed rubbing his chin thoughtfully. "I just hope it is not something drastic." He muttered.
"I hope if it is something drastic, I won’t miss it." Marius chuckled lightly.
...
Cyrus held Sage’s hand as they walked down the stairs, and he couldn’t take his gaze away from his beautiful wife, who was dressed in an emerald dress that matched her eyes perfectly. She was a treasure to him, one he would never let go.
Ashton appeared in front of them, slyly smiling.
"Hello there, lovely couple," Sage said with a frown, while Cyrus gave him a sidelong glance.
"Whoa, whoa, what’s with the faces? I am simply here to deliver a message." He inquired, chuckling heartily.
"My king!" When Arthur’s voice was heard, he dashed into their midst, looking as if he had been running his entire life and had finally come to a halt.
"Did you track her down?" Ashton inquired. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
"The water mage and Prince River have arrived!" Arthur revealed himself and gasped for air.
"Katherine?!" Sage exclaimed in surprise.
Cyrus quickly let go of her hand, and she ran away from him, clutching her dress.
Ashton laughed while crossing his arms. "The breakfast will be indeed grand." He joked.
"Yay! Exciting." Cyrus said with full sarcasm and walked past Ashton, who rubbed his palms excitedly, anticipating drama.
