Manaless Mage-Chapter 216: A pointless fight
Chapter 216: A pointless fight
Nonetheless, that didn’t mean he was going to give up.
He swiftly nocked one of his arrows on the bow once more before aiming at Susan.
Without wasting time, he rapidly poured mana into the arrow, concentrating it at the tip.
A dim, yellow glow sprouted at the bottom of the arrow, before rapidly spreading to the tip, coating the whole arrow like a flame.
In the next moment, Stanley released the arrow, launching it towards the Elementalist.
Whoosh!
The arrow flew through the air at rapid speed, reaching Susan within seconds.
"Light Spear!" Susan suddenly shouted, summoning a giant spear of light above her.
Swiishh!!
Susan immediately launched the attack, and the giant spear shot across the air at astonishing speed.
It collided with the arrow almost instantly, effortlessly shattering it into pieces, before hurtling towards the combat mage.
’It broke... so easily.’ Stanley gritted his teeth in frustration, rapidly pumping mana into his legs.
Using a powerful burst of mana, he swiftly leapt to the side, in a bid to escape the attack.
However, his reaction was a little too late, and the spear still stabbed him at the side, leaving a deep gash.
"Arrgh!" Stanley grunted in pain, his legs stumbling to the ground.
Drip!
Blood gushed out of the injury, trickling down his legs before dropping to the ground.
’Damn it. I couldn’t even dodge that.’ He thought, gnashing his teeth in frustration.
His hands slowly went to the wound, and the frown on his face deepened even further as warm blood trailed down the cracks between his fingers.
"You can’t win, just surrender. That way, I won’t have to give you anymore injuries." The indifferent voice of Susan drifted into his ears, and for a moment, he truly considered giving up.
’She’s right, this fight is pointless. I never stood a chance of winning in the first place.’ Stanley thought, with a wry smile on his face.
He was rapidly channeling his mana into the wound, in order to heal it, however, the process was extremely slow.
No matter how much he tried, he would to continuously channel his mana for at least a day before the injury could even close up.
Something which was impossible for him.
’But still, I won’t just surrender. No matter how pointless it might be.’ Nocking another arrow, he harnessed his mana into it before aiming it at Susan.
Whoosh!!
The second Stanley released the arrow, it shot towards Susan at insane speed, its tip burning with a dim yellow flame.
"Shield of light!" Susan immediately summoning a short shield made purely of radiant light in front of her, shielding herself from the incoming arrow.
The arrow struck the light shield instead, dropping to the ground almost instantly, and the mana around it rapidly crumbled into pieces.
"I gave you a chance." The Elementalist muttered, her brows furrowing into a deep frown.
Although that attack didn’t even come close to her, it still annoyed her.
One thing she didn’t like was dragging out fights with people weaker than her, which was also why she gave the combat mage a chance to surrender.
Nonetheless, he rejected her offer, and she made up her mind to end the match with her next attack.
Thrumm!!
"Light Slash!" She shouted, and the light shield in front of her suddenly transformed into a thin, long slash wave of light.
Whoosh!
With a simple mental command, the light slash shot towards Stanley at terrifying speed, reaching him almost immediately.
The combat mage couldn’t even react as the slash struck his body, leaving a deep cut which ran along his torso.
’Shit...’ He thought, feeling a sharp, searing pain course through his body from the cut.
Spurt!
Blood gushed out of the wound, dyeing his upper body red, and gradually forming a small red pool beneath his feet.
That was the last straw for him, and his body finally collapsed to the ground, landing on his back.
’Damn it... so pathetic.’ He thought, with a wry smile on his face. The image of a certain black haired boy briefly flashed in his mind, one he greatly admired, and he let out a light scoff.
’I couldn’t even make her draw her sword.’ He mumbled inwardly, taking one last look at the grey-eyed Elementalist standing proudly in front of him.
Despite trying to hold on to his consciousness, his body finally gave in, and he slowly closed his eyes.
[The winner: Susan Grey!! An expected result, but still thrilling nonetheless!!]
The commentator announced, and the hall went up in cheers, a large majority praising Susan.
"Hmph." Susan scoffed, before walking out of the stage.

[Unto the next match, and the last match in this round! Henry Mack Vs Olivia Ava!!]
After the crowd died down, the commentator finally announced the next fight, eliciting another round of cheers.
The two participants slowly walked towards the stage, with sparks flying between them as they exchanged gazes.
Olivia was a short girl, with dark brown hair tied into a bun, and dark brown eyes. Her face was quite average, and she couldn’t compare to the likes of Susan and Yasmine when it came to beauty.
Nonetheless, one thing she was known for was her strength, which was the only reason she was one of the top ten elites in the academy.
’I won’t lose.’ She thought, narrowing her eyes at her opponent, who had a smug smirk on his face.
[Let the fight begin!]
The moment the start of the match was announced, the Elementalists charged at each other, unleashing their respective spells.
"Wind Arrows!" Henry shouted, conjuring ten arrows out of thin air before shooting them at his opponent.
"Earth Discs!!" Olivia swiftly summoned ten thick, brown discs in response, launching them towards the incoming arrows.
Thwoosh!!
The two attacks clashed against each other mid-air, and the earth discs cleaved through the arrows, hurtling towards Henry.
However, their speed slowed down greatly, due to the impact from the arrows.
Swoosh!!
"Wind Blast!" Henry swiftly stretched his hands forwards, sending out a powerful blast of wind, which blew away all the discs.
The earth discs scattered to the side, rapidly disintegrating into tiny brown particles.
Swoosh!!
As for the blast, it bursted towards Olivia at insane speed, more than ready to swallow her up.
Kroom!!
"Earth Wall!!" Olivia shouted, and a large wall of earth immediately rose up from the ground in front of her.
Boom!
The wind blast struck the wall with full force, instantly dispersing to the side.
"Wall Charge!" Olivia hurriedly thrusted her hands forwards, and following her command, the wall charged straight for Henry.
"Crescent wind blade!" The wind Elementalist shouted, swinging his hand forward.
Whoosh!!
A thin, crescent slash wave suddenly materialised in front of him, darting towards the incoming wall with great speed.
However, just as the two spells were about to collide, Olivia abruptly casted another spell.
Kroom!!
"Earth Spears!!" She shouted, and the earth wall rapidly transformed into three, long spears with sharp edges.
The wind slash simply passed through their middle, while the spears flew towards Henry at insane speed. freeweɓnovel.cøm
’Fucking bitch!’ Henry thought, his brows furrowing into a deep frown.
’Did you think this will work?!’
