Manaless Mage-Chapter 215: Susan Vs Stanley
Chapter 215: Susan Vs Stanley
Just before the fight began, he recieved a quest, one asking him to defeat the opponent that stood before him.
During all his last matches, he didn’t recieve any quest, in fact, he was already starting to doubt he wouid receive any during this event.
Fortunately, he was wrong. What made him happy was the quest reward, just from this one quest, he gained a whopping fifty skill points.
One of his main objectives was to accumulate enough skill points during this event, so he would be able to get even more powerful skills from the system skill shop.
With a slight nod, Harry closed the system tab, before walking out of the stage.
An instructor came unto the stage to attend to David, healing his injuries before escorting him out of the hall.
The Elementalist simply bowed his head in shame, feeling embarrassed at his loss. Never had the thought cross his mind, that he would one day lose to a stage two Elementalist.
Even now, it didn’t make sense, and still felt surreal. ’Just how is he... so strong?’ David thought, taking one last glance at Harry before leaving the event hall.
After he left the stage, the noise in the hall slowly died down, and the commentator progressed to the next match in the event.
[And for the fourth fight, we have Susan Grey Vs Stanley Bennett!!]
The crowd of students immediately bursted into cheers at the sound of the announcement.
Even though the match hadn’t started yet, they could all already tell who was going to be the winner. It was of course, Susan, the rank one Elementalist!
Her fans loudly chanted her name, feeling excitement at the thought of seeing the grey-eyed girl on the stage again.

The two participants stood at opposite ends of the stage, staring fiercely at each other.
Hung on Susan’s slender waist, was a thin, longsword, resting in a brown sheath.
Her opponent, an orange haired combat mage, stood at the other end of the stage, with a deep frown on his face.
In his hands, he held a slender green bow, while a black quiver, filled with dark green arrows, hung from his back.
There were also two daggers positioned at his sides, so he wouldn’t be totally helpless when it came to close combat.
’Can I win... I don’t think so.’ Stanley thought, with a wry smile on his face. A part of him even wanted to surrender, since fighting might be pointless for him.
However...
’I’ll have to give it my all, and try to win!’ He thought, his eyes narrowing at his opponent.
[Let the duel... begin!!]
The moment the start of the fight was announced, Stanley swiftly nocked one of his arrows, aiming it at Susan.
Whoosh!
The arrow shot through the air at rapid speed, rapidly closing in on the girl.
However, Susan easily evaded by stepping to the side, and the arrow flew past air.
It crashed into the barrier placed over the stage instead, instantly falling to ground.
"Light Arrows." Susan muttered, swiftly conjuring four light arrows, which hovered in front of her.
Swishh!!
In the next second, the arrows flew through the air, approaching Stanley at rapid speed.
The combat mage’s brows furrowed slightly, and he hurriedly channeled his mana, greatly enhancing his abilities.
Harnessing some mana into an arrow, he hurriedly nocked it on his before shooting it towards one of the incoming arrows.
Whoosh!
The two arrows struck each other mid air, and Stanley’s arrow immediately pierced through the other.
However, its speed slowed down greatly and it dropped back to the ground after a few seconds, having lost its momentum.
The moment he released the arrow, Stanley swiftly dashed to the side, boosting his speed using small bursts of mana beneath his feet.
With this, he managed to narrowly dodge the other three arrows, weaving through them with skilful movements.
However, Susan didn’t plan on letting him go just like that.
Fwissh!!!
"Shining Burst!" She shouted, immediately unleashing a burst of radiant white sparkles towards Stanley.
’Damn it.’ Stanley gnashed his teeth in annoyance, swiftly harnessing mana into his legs.
He swiftly tried leaping to the side, using another burst of mana to propel himself.
However, before his feet fully left the ground, the tiny sparkles closed in on him, surrounding him in a cascade of shimmering dots.
The sparkles were so beautiful, and the way they flowed around him briefly entranced Stanley.
’No!’ He thought, shaking his head in a bid to regain his composure.
Although they were really beautiful, he knew better than anyone how deceiving that was.
Whatever the spell effect was, he was sure its deadly to him. freewёbn૦νeɭ.com
Just then, his eyes locked with Susan, who was still standing across him, and his eyes narrowed slightly.
’There you are!’ He thought, swiftly dashing towards the Elementalist.
However, as he was charging at her, he noticed something odd. He had gotten slower!
Even though he was currently channeling his mana, it wasn’t flowing normally.
His mana was flowing sluggishly, and it felt like it was taking years before they reached where he wanted them to.
It wasn’t just his mana, his base speed, even his strength, everything had gotten weaker.
’Damn it! I should have known... a de-buff spell!’ He thought, gritting his teeth in frustration for not realising it earlier.
Suddenly, Susan’s figure vanished from his sight, reappearing beside him almost immediately.
’Fast!’ Stanley thought, swiftly turning to the side in a bid to follow her, but he was just too slow.
"Light Gloves!" Susan shouted, summoning a thin glove of bright white light over her fists, before sending a powerful punch towards Stanley’s abdomen.
Thwam!!
The combat mage could barely react, as Susan’s fist slammed into his torso.
The moment her hand touched him, a small blast of light suddenly erupted from her fists, the force hurtling his body through the air.
"Argh!" Stanley grunted in pain, as his body flew through the air, however, just as he was about to fall to the ground, he hurriedly channeled his mana, landing back on his feet.
Fortunately, the light sparkles had disintegrated, and his strength was gradually returning.
’I already know she’s strong, but i didn’t expect fighting her to be this overwhelming.’ Stanley mumbled inwardly, wiping the blood trailing from the corners of his lips.
They had only exchanged a few attacks, but it was clear he was the one on the losing end.
