Manaless Mage-Chapter 214: A quest at last

The two attacks clashed mid-air almost immediately, with Harry’s wind blades cutting through David’s spell, before hurtling towards him at rapid speed.

David’s eyes widened in shock, as he looked at what was playing out in front of him.

’This isn’t blade barrage... he’s summoning the same amount of blades, and using it to counterattack?!’ He thought, finding it hard to believe what he was seeing.

However, he couldn’t ponder too much on it, as the attacks were already flying towards him at rapid speed.

Swoosh!!

"Wind Barrier!" Wind rapidly gathered in front of him, before condensing into a large barrier.

Swiish!!

The blades slammed into the barrier, a good majority of them instantly crumbling into pieces.

Meanwhile, Harry’s lips curled into a slight smile, as a notification unexpectedly appeared in front of him.

[Wind Blade level up!]

[Skill "Wind blade" now level 6!]

Although it didn’t seem like it, summoning that large amount of blades was quite difficult, and it also consumed a huge chunk of his energy.

What made it difficult was harnessing his energy through each and every one of the blades, in order to strengthen them.

So seeing as it levelled up, made Harry feel that all that stress was worth it.

His gaze then drifted back to the Elementalist, who was still busy holding up his barrier against the barrage of attacks, and a slight smirk appeared on his face.

Whoosh!

"Agh..." David let out a low grunt of frustration, as he kept pouring in mana into the barrier.

The wind blades were so strong for so reason, and if not for him continuously reinforcing the barrier, they would have easily broken through it.

’I can’t belie—’ His thoughts were cut short, when the wind beside him suddenly rustled violently.

He instinctively turned his head to the side, and his eyes met with Harry, whose fist was already thrusted towards his torso.

Blitz!

Lightning sparks flickered rapidly around his body, and his movements were so fast that it seemed like blurs to not just David but the audience.

Thwack!!

Before the Elementalist could even react, Harry’s fist struck his abdomen with immense force, immediately hurtling his body to the side. frёewebnoѵel.ƈo๓

"Arrgh!" David grunted, blood spurting out of his lips.

His body slammed into the ground, bouncing repeatedly before sliding to a stop.

"Damn it..." He muttered, slowly rising back up on his feet.

He wiped the blood trialing down from his lips, before turning back to Harry, who was simply staring at him with a slight smile.

’He doesn’t bother to attack... simply staring from a distance. Is he taunting me or what?’ He thought, his brows furrowing into a deep frown.

’Did i pour more mana than I thought into that barrier?’ He mumbled inwardly, his eyes narrowing. However, he quickly pushed the thought to the back of his mind, focusing on the opponent that stood before him instead.

"Fine, I’ll go all out." David mumbled to himself, clenching his fists tightly in anger.

Fwoosh!!

In quick succession, he casted all the speed-enhancement spells he had, causing the wind to gather around him, greatly amplifying his speed.

Fwoosh!!

"Gale Blast!" David swung his hands forward, sending a powerful burst of wind towards Harry.

"Wind Slash." Harry swiftly responded to the attack, conjuring a sharp slash wave before shooting it towards the swirling wind.

Swoosh!!

The slash flew across the air at rapid speed, the two attacks closing in on each other almost immediately.

Whoosh!!

The wind slash effortlessly parted the violent gale into two, dispersing it to the side, before flying towards David.

’He did it again...’ The Elementalist thought, his eyes narrowing in frustration.

Fwoosh!!!

"Wind Barrier!" He shouted, and a large barrier of condensed wind was erected in front of him.

Bam!

However, the moment the slash wave made contact with the barrier, it shattered into pieces, causing David’s jaws to drop to the ground.

Spurt!

With the barrier gone, the wind slash struck him with full force, leaving a deep gash which ran from the top of his chest to the upper part of his thigh.

"Arrgh!" He shouted, his whole body trembling in agony. His eyes slowly widened in fear, as he stared at the webbed trails of blood trickling down his legs.

A thick, red liquid slowly pooled beneath his feet, dying the bottom part of his shoes with red.

"I... can’t move..." He mumbled, feeling the burning sting from the wound sear mercilessly through his body.

"Let’s end this." Harry muttered, stretching his hand towards the Elementalist.

Blitz!!

"Lightning Ball." He said, and immediately, a large lightning ball materialised in front of him, cracking violently with electricity.

Swoosh!!!

Blitzzzz!!!

The lightning ball hurtled towards David at rapid speed, leaving a trail of blue electric sparks.

Blitzzzz!!!

"Fuck..." David muttered, just before the ball slammed into him, going off in a powerful lightning explosion.

After a few minutes, the dust from the explosion finally died down, revealing the figure of David in between it.

His body was charred black, and his hair stood upright like spikes, their former blonde, vibrant colour now blackened by the aftermath.

A few blue sparks were still flickering around his body, his mouth was slightly open, and thick black smoke kept rising from it.

Despite him standing, his pupils had already rolled all the way up his forehead, leaving only the white sclera.

Thud!

After standing for a few more seconds, his body finally collapsed to the ground, eliciting a couple of gasps from the audience.

[What an amazing display of power! Once again, Harry overwhelms his opponent, emerging as the winner!!]

The commentator shouted with excitement, and in the next moment, the event hall exploded into a series of loud shouts and cheers.

There were some who were quite annoyed by how Harry won the match, feeling that it was too brutal.

Nonetheless, most of the crowd was still on his side, chanting his name in joy. Nothing concerned them with how he won, as long as he gave them enough excitement by displaying his awesome abilities.

Meanwhile, Harry’s lips curled into a smirk, as he read through the notification flashing across his eyes.
