Manaless Mage-Chapter 201: Unto the next
Chapter 201: Unto the next
[The duels so far has been nothing but thrilling, and exciting. Finally, it’s time for the final duel of the first rounds! Sandra Peck Vs Clara Sinston!!]
The commentator shouted, plunging the hall into another loud round of cheers and shouts.
Sandra Peck was also a well known Elementalist in the academy. She was one of the top ten elites, with her being at the second rank, just below Susan.
Her talent was nothing to joke about also, as she was one of the few stage three Elementalists within the academy.
With her having a dual affinity: peak grade water and low grade wind affinities, her insane talent wasn’t really surprising.
*
The two participants gently climbed unto the stage, standing opposite each other.
Sandra, an average height slender girl with curly black hair stood at the right end of the stage, while Clara, a tall, busty girl with short blonde hair, stood opposite her.
Compared to Sandra, who had a slight smile and exuded an air of confidence, her opponent didn’t seem so confident.
A deep frown was etched on her face, and her eyes remained glued on her opponent.
She was a middle stage two Elementalist, with high grade earth affinity, however, she knew within her self that her chances against Sandra were slim.
[Let the match begin!]
The commentator suddenly announced the start of the fight, and the crowd of students cheered in excitement.
Clara swiftly stretched her hands towards Sandra, before casting her spell.
"Blasting Spike!" She exclaimed, and almost immediately, a long, thick brown spike appeared in front of her.
Whoosh!
With a simple mental command from her, the large spike shot towards Sandra at insane speed.
While still in the air, the huge spike suddenly divided into five smaller spikes, each one speedily closing in on Sandra.
"Water Darts." Sandra muttered, conjuring ten thin darts of water with her spell.
Whoosh!
With a swift wave of her hand, all the water darts shot towards Clara at insane speed.
A few of them collided with the five earth spikes in the air. However, they effortlessly pierced through them, shattering the spikes into pieces.
The broken earth pieces fell to the ground, before rapidly disintegrating, while the darts continued flying towards Clara, their speed not affected in the slightest.
Clara’s eyes widened in shock, as she watched her attack spell crumble so easily in the face of Sandra’s.
"Earth Wall!" She shouted, the sight of those incoming water darts sending chills down her spine.
Kroomm!!
Just as the water darts were about to close in on her, a large, crude wall suddenly rose up from the ground between them.
Bam!
The water darts slammed against the wall instead, penetrating it slightly, before dissolving back into liquid.
After blocking the attack, Clara swiftly took a step back from the large wall.
"Wall charge!" She shouted, making a few hand signs, before pushing her hands towards the wall.
Kroom!!
The wall surged towards Sandra, its large, thick body swiftly traversing through the ground, threatening to crush her into a paste.
Sandra’s eyes narrowed slightly, seeing the large wall rapidly closing in on her.
"Crescent wind blade!" She shouted, and immediately, a long crescent-shaped blade materialised from the air in front of her, before shooting towards the large earth wall at great speed.
Whoosh!!
In a split second, the blade collided with the earth wall, effortlessly splitting it into two.
The split parts of the wall instantly changed direction, each wall passing by Sandra, leaving her unharmed at the middle.
They continued moving for a few more seconds, before rapidly disintegrating into tiny brown particles.
The spell she used, Crescent wind blade was a higher form of wind blade. It was a tier three spell, and compared to the former, it was a lot faster and sharper, making it a lot more lethal.
"Wind steps." Sandra mumbled, with a large amount wind rapidly gathering around her legs, boosting her speed.
Using her increased speed, she swiftly charged towards Clara, with one of her hands drawn back behind her.
’Damn it!’ Clara cursed inwardly, feeling frustrated at how the wall was easily sliced into two.
Nonetheless, she couldn’t bother herself too much about that, as Sandra was already charging towards her.
Swiftly harnessing her mana, she casted another spell.
"Earth Discs!" She shouted, conjuring three, sharp discs made purely with earth, before unleashing them towards her opponent.
Whoosh!
The discs flew through the air, closing in on Sandra within seconds.
However, Sandra swiftly dodged each and every one of them, using her heightened speed.
A large amount of water violently stirred above her drawn hand, rapidly coalescing into a large sphere of water.
"Water sphere!" Sandra shouted, unleashing the large ball of wall towards Clara.
Blast!
Splash!
The sphere of water flew through the air at insane speed, swiftly closing in on the earth Elementalist.
Beads of sweat rolled down Clara’s face, as she watched the large water sphere flying towards her.
She hurriedly tried to cast another spell to defend herself, or at least dodge the incoming attack.
However, she was just too slow, and before she could even react, the large water sphere slammed against her.
Blast!
The moment the sphere made contact with her body, it immediately burst out in a strong blast of water, with Clara receiving the full force of the blast.
"Arrgh!!" She grunted in pain, as the sheer force behind the sent her body flying.
Bam!
Her body crashed into the ground, bouncing a few times before finally coming to a halt at the edge of the stage.
Her clothes were totally drenched from the water, and even a little touch would be enough to push her off the stage.
Her lips curled into a wry smile, and despite trying hard not to, she eventually closed her eyes, losing consciousness.
Sandra’s gaze lingered on her opponent’s unconscious figure for a few seconds, and a weird glint flashed across her eyes, before she finally turned to the audience.
[And the winner, after an intense fight, is none other than Sandra Peck!!]
The commentator’s voice rung throughout the stage, as he excitedly announced the duel’s winner.
The hall quickly went up in cheers, and the audience started clapping and shouting in joy.
Clara was swiftly attended to by an instructor and her injuries were healed, before she was finally escorted out of the hall.
Meanwhile, Harry’s eyes squinted slightly as he stared at Sandra.
’Probe.’ He thought, curious about her stats.

’Her stats are quite impressive, and her mana is also high, though not as high as Trent’s.’ Harry mumbled inwardly.
One major thing he had noticed among Elementalists, was that their strength and endurance were usually very low compared to the rest of their stats.
It was especially the same with the latter, which explained why most of them were weak to physical attacks.
His gaze turned to Susan, who was seated at another section quite far from him.
The thought to scan her stats completely skipped his mind during her fight with Yasmine. However, he was still curious about her stats, as it had been a while since he last checked them.
’Probe.’ He thought, and immediately, a set of tabs appeared in front of him.

As he looked through Susan’s stats, his lips slowly curled into a wry smile.
The gap between her and the rank two Elementalist, was so large, despite them being in the same stage.
Unlike the other top ten elites whose mana cores were still in the early stage of the third stage, she was already in the late stages.
As he closed the tab, his gaze suddenly met with Susan’s, who stared at him for a few seconds before finally looking away.
’Did she sense me scanning her stats...?’ Harry mumbled inwardly, his eyes narrowing slightly.
After a few minutes, the noise finally died down, and the commentator continued speaking.
[With that, we have concluded the first series of duels in this event. Finally, we’ll be advancing unto the second rounds of fights!]
[The first match among the second series of duels; Tyron Nolan Vs Nathan Lane!!]
Following the announcement, the previously silent hall, quickly went up in another round of loud cheers.
This was another fight they were all excited to watch, as the two participants of the duel were both at the third mana core stage!

Nathan and Tyron stood opposite each other atop the stage.
Nathan was at the left end, with his bastard sword held tightly in his hands. His lips slowly curled into a slight smirk, and he could barely stifle a chuckle as he stared at Tyron who kept staring daggers at him.
Tyron was a handsome boy, with short black hair, and bright brown eyes. He was also an academy elite, being at the fifth rank.
He had high grade fire affinity and medium grade water affinity, making him one of the most talented students in the academy.
[Since both participants are ready, let the duel begin!]
The commentator shouted, announcing the start of the duel.
