Chapter 342: Between Kael and Grey, who would win?

Chapter 342

"Speaking of breakthroughs," Max sighed as he stepped forward, his eyes locked on the ferocious clash ahead. "Using this twice in one day... I’m definitely going to be confined to bed for a week."

"Same here," Dante replied with a wry chuckle, the wind tossing his hair as electricity sparked faintly around him.

Then, in perfect unison, the two shouted—

"Breakthrough!"

A powerful surge of energy burst from their bodies, warping the air around them. The ground beneath cracked from the pressure as their figures vanished in a blur, bolting toward the ongoing chaos where Kael was battling the monstrous wolf.

Kael spun mid-air, his lightning-charged armor pulsating with raw energy. His movements were fluid yet wild, like a storm given form. He sneered at the beast below.

"I thought you were a wolf. Why the hell are you so slow?"

The beast lunged forward, one of its claws slicing through the air toward Kael’s face—but shadows rippled beneath his feet, and in a flash, he disappeared.

A shadow portal bloomed open in the sky—and Kael emerged like a spiraling thunderbolt, spinning so fast his form blurred, lightning streaking around him like a blazing comet.

BOOM!

Kael crashed into the beast, unleashing an explosion of sparks and dust, electricity ripping through the air. The wolf was hurled back, skidding violently across the arena floor, black blood trailing in the air behind it.

AWHOOOO!

The beast howled furiously, blood dripping from its chest, fangs bared in raw rage. Its glowing eyes locked onto Kael, filled with seething hatred.

"What? You angry?" Kael mocked, cracking his neck and taking a combat stance—one foot braced behind, the other forward, his arms raised like a master martial artist. "Come on, baby... the fun’s just getting started."

CRACK!

Kael surged forward like lightning incarnate, the earth behind him rupturing from the force of his takeoff. The beast responded instantly, dashing to meet him in a violent charge.

Buzz!

Twin laser beams blasted toward Kael. He flipped backward through the air with grace, dodging the beams by mere inches as they sliced past him and detonated behind.

BOOM!

He kicked the air again, launching himself forward like a missile, his lightning sword sparking wildly in his grasp. As he neared, the wolf snarled and fired another set of beams—this time, at point blank.

BAM!

Kael growled, slamming his sword into the beams in a desperate clash. Sparks flew wildly as he skidded across the ground, his sword hissing and melting under the intense pressure.

Before he could recover, the beast flashed forward and leapt. Its massive paw collided with Kael’s chest, sending him flying like a ragdoll. His body slammed into the earth, dragging along the cracked floor as a cloud of dust erupted around him.

Tch!

Kael spat out blood, groaning as he struggled to rise. But the wolf wasn’t finished. It dashed toward him again, charging up another barrage of deadly beams.

Buzz! Boom!

The twin beams shot out toward Kael’s battered form. He raised his lightning-charged hand in a shaky defense—when suddenly, a towering earth wall erupted in front of him, absorbing the impact with a powerful boom.

A streak of lightning zipped across the field—a blur of blue hair and raw energy.

BANG!

Max arrived like a cannon, a sizzling bolt of lightning in hand. With a battle cry, he hurled the bolt directly into the charging wolf, the impact sending the beast spinning through the air and slamming into the ground with a deep, echoing crash.

Kael finally pulled himself upright, brushing dirt off his scorched armor as he glanced toward Max and Dante.

"You guys are late," he muttered, cracking a half-smile, sparks still dancing across his body.

"Not our fault you were too fast," Max retorted, brushing a strand of wind-swept hair from his brow.

Kael shot him a raised eyebrow, the corner of his mouth twitching into a cocky smirk. "You have lightning magic too, don’t you? So what’s your excuse for dragging your feet?" he asked, tilting his head to peer over his shoulder at the recovering beast. "Besides, I warned you—I was taking this up a notch."

"Well, you could’ve held out f—" Dante began, but a thunderous bang cut him off.

Kael vanished.

Only a streak of blinding blue lightning marked where he had stood.

"And there he goes again," Max muttered, already surging forward. "Come on, let’s back that crazy bastard up."

Buzz!

Six razor-sharp laser beams screamed through the air, slicing toward Kael—but he didn’t flinch. With a casual flick of his wrist, a shadow rippled at his feet like ink in water, rising to devour the beams mid-flight. A shadow portal blinked open behind the wolf.

Zzzzt!

The laser beams emerged with brutal speed, shooting at the beast’s exposed flank—but the wolf reacted instantly, zipping away in a blur. The impact scorched a fresh crater where it had just stood.

"Earth Magic: Pillars of Judgment!" Dante roared.

Massive stone pillars erupted from the ground like vengeful giants, roaring toward the beast. But the wolf, agile and unnervingly precise, wove between them with unrelenting speed, its paws barely brushing the ground.

"Lightning Arrows!" Max clapped his hands, and the sky responded.

Thunder cracked as three hundred lightning-forged arrows rained from above like divine punishment. Each arrow sizzled with raw voltage, illuminating the battlefield in electric hues.

The wolf was fast, but not omnipotent. It danced, zipped, and ducked around the barrage—yet it couldn’t dodge them all.

For every arrow it couldn’t escape, it countered with pinpoint laser blasts. The sky shimmered with explosions as lightning met laser mid-air in a dazzling light show.

"Perfect," Kael muttered through the rumble of magic as he darted forward, a living storm racing toward the distracted beast. His lightning armor blazed like a star. freewebnσvel.cѳm

Meanwhile, the spectators were frozen. Their mouths hung open, eyes darting in every direction as they tried—and failed—to follow the speed of the combatants.

"I know this is probably the worst time to ask," Arthur said, his voice cracking from awe, "but between Grey and Kael... who do you think would win?"

Charlotte didn’t take her eyes off the chaos in the arena. "There’s no need to compare. They’re both monsters—demons wrapped in human skin. Honestly, I don’t think anyone in the younger generation could beat either of them."

"Speak for yourself!" Dave snapped, spinning toward her with eyes full of fury. "I’m no weakling. So don’t you dare say that peasant is stronger than me."

"Isn’t he?" Lyra interjected, stepping back into the group with a wry smirk, brushing her locks over her shoulder. "We all saw it. He wiped the floor with you even after you powered up.

You used Breakthrough, and he still smashed you into the dirt—twice. You tried a cheap three-on-one, and he demolished all of you. You activated your Domain, a skill reserved for the strongest of mages... and he still dominated you within it."

Her words cut deep, each syllable like a dagger into Dave’s pride. His jaw clenched. His fists tightened until his knuckles turned white. A thick vein throbbed on his temple as he glared at her, seething.

"You little—!"

BOOM!

Another thunderous bang tore through the battlefield—not from Kael’s fight—but from a different direction entirely. The group whipped their heads around, expecting more chaos from Kael’s duel.

Instead, their gazes widened in shock.

Amir and Raze stood tall and bloodied, triumphant over the fallen gorilla beast.

Sigh... It’s the last day of the month and so does Magus Supremacy’s MGS ends. Now we struggle in win-win against some monsters. Anyway, I had created a discord server for our little family but I was disappointed no one joined and it shouldn’t be so.

That server was supposed to be our safe haven where we have fun and chat. Where you get to know your author and I also get to know my readers. I don’t consider you all just my readers, but a family that I plan to build up together.

So once again, here is our server link, please try to join guys!
