Chapter 311: I’m not on your level! {Super gift bonus chap 2}
Chapter 311
The intra-academy tournament had just taken an explosive and unexpected turn.
A student tried to kill his own brother.
Another student shattered the barrier meant to shield the spectators from harm.
And then—boom.
He revealed he could wield four elements.
The crowd went deathly still. The grandstands, once noisy and electric, were frozen in silence as every eye remained glued to the battlefield.
Dave, seething with rage, activated a special technique reserved only for elite third-years—Magus Dominion. A power that bent the battlefield to the user’s will.
Grey, on the other hand, met his aggression with something even more shocking: he revealed all of his elemental affinities.
Raising a single hand, Grey summoned an elemental storm.
Fifty fire arrows, glowing crimson with destructive heat.
Fifty lightning bolts, crackling with violent static.
Fifty jagged earth spikes, brimming with blunt force.
Dozens of razor-sharp wind blades, suspended in midair and spinning slowly like death’s halo.
Each projectile locked onto Dave, forming a dome of doom around him.
Grey’s voice came cold, detached—almost divine.
"For daring to attempt to kill a dear friend of mine, I call upon your death... Goodbye."
Snap.
The battlefield erupted as hundreds of spells were unleashed at once, howling toward Dave with staggering speed.
"Tsk." Dave scoffed, unfazed. Without a single step, a thick metal dome burst around him, shielding him from the incoming onslaught.
BOOM!!!
The coliseum shook.
The barrage crashed into the dome with an earth-shattering roar. Dust rose. Cracks formed in the walls. The very ground quivered.
Inside the dome, Dave gritted his teeth.
’Damn it! I feel like this dome... it might not hold.’
The attacks continued to slam into it—wave after wave—until suddenly...
Silence.
’It’s over? Already?’
BANG!
The dome exploded outward like a cannonball, rebounding in Grey’s direction—but Grey had already anticipated it.
He was gone.
"You know..."
His voice echoed from above, carried by the wind.
"I should be afraid of this Domain of yours... but in your hands, it’s nothing but a parlor trick."
Grey hovered mid-air, the wind swirling violently around his form like a living barrier. His crimson hair danced with elemental energy, his white eyes glowing with pure power.
"COME AT ME, YOU FOOL!!" Dave roared.
Three hundred metal spears erupted from the ground, slicing through the air with deadly precision.
Grey didn’t even blink. His eyes were shining with ethereal white light, and arcs of lightning sparked off his skin.
He calmly raised his index finger and traced a glowing arc in the sky.
"Destroy."
From his fingertip, a giant lightning serpent exploded forth. Its body, thick and serpentine like a dragon made of thunderclouds, roared as it spiraled toward the incoming spears.
It opened its jaws and swallowed them whole.
Then, with a crack of its tail, it launched five hundred lightning spears in return—each moving faster than the blink of an eye.
Dave’s heart pounded as he stepped back. "Curses..."
Metal warped around him as he summoned a titanic construct. In seconds, a gigantic metal whale towered before him—its surface gleaming like silver armor.
"WOAH!!"
The crowd gasped collectively.
Despite the transparent veil of the domain, spectators could still see the spectacle inside. And what they saw left them breathless.
"Dave is on a whole different level..."
"Forget Dave—who the hell is that red-haired guy?!"
"Fighting someone inside their own Domain... and pushing them back? That’s insane!"
CRACK!
The lightning spears slammed into the whale.
Its body caved under the relentless barrage. Holes were ripped into its side before the final wave blasted through and detonated on the ground, leaving deep, smoldering craters.
"Shit! What monstrous strength does this guy have?" Dave mumbled in anger as he stumbled, blood trickling from the side of his mouth. The serpent hovered beside Grey, still hungry for destruction.
Grey descended slowly, his presence terrifying.
"I warned you..."
His voice was thunder and fire.
"Not once. Not twice. Not even thrice."
Wind spiraled around him as he raised his palm once more.
"I told you never to hurt my friends. I gave you every chance. But you still tried to kill Vince?!"
His voice now roared like a storm.
"HOW DARE YOU?!"
With a snap, massive earth pillars surged toward Dave like battering rams.
Dave didn’t flinch. He touched each pillar, transmuting them instantly into metal. They hovered around him like a metallic constellation.
"You forget," Dave snarled, "This is my Domain! And in my world, you are nothing but an intruder—I will crush you underfoot and remind everyone who the real powerhouse is!"
"I want to see you try."
A whisper—from behind.
Dave’s eyes widened. He turned—
Too late.
CRACK!
Grey’s fist, charged with lightning, smashed into Dave’s face. He flew backward like a meteor, slamming through his own metal constructs before crashing into the barrier wall of the Domain.
His blood painted the air red.
"Fire Magic: Explomb!" Grey roared.
Twelve blazing fireballs surged toward Dave as he struggled to stand, blood dribbling down his chin.
"Metal Wall!" Dave shouted. A thick wall rose before him—but the fireballs didn’t simply hit it.
They detonated.
BOOM!
Flames melted through the wall like butter, and before Dave could react—
Dozens of wind blades sliced toward him at breakneck speed.
Dave summoned a metal sword with a flick of his hand and dashed forward, slashing through the blades with precision. Sparks flew as metal clashed with air.
He raised his hands high.
"NOW DIE!"
Two hundred metal spears launched toward Grey like missiles.
Grey stood still. Unshaken. Unbothered.
"I thought you would’ve learned something by now..." he muttered. "You and I—"
He narrowed his glowing eyes.
"—were never on the same level."
He raised his hand.
"Fusion Magic: Phantom Annihilation."
POOF.
He vanished.
The spears slammed into the ground, exploding in a cascade of rubble and dust. Craters tore through the arena floor, smoke swirling like a curtain.
The audience gasped.
Everyone leaned forward.
Searching. Watching.
Where was he?
Where was Grey?
But deep inside, they all knew...
This wasn’t the end.
It was just the beginning.
