Madam, Please Behave-Chapter 182: It’s Decided—You!
Wu Yu returned to his rental apartment.
As soon as he closed the door, he saw his girlfriend frantically tidying up the table.
Holding a takeout container of stir-fried rice noodles, Wu Yu looked at her curiously. She was hunched over the table, covering a stack of papers with her hands.
Puzzled, he asked, "What are you hiding?"
"Hiding? Me? Nothing!"
Her eyes darted around as she blurted out the obvious lie.
Wu Yu’s girlfriend, Qi Hang, had also graduated from university just a year ago.
She was wearing a loose white T-shirt and comfortable shorts, her bangs pinned back with a hairband. Her petite frame sat curled up on the chair, legs folded, her upper body almost completely draped over the drawing table. She tilted her head, flashing Wu Yu an awkward smile.
Her dream was to become a well-known comic artist.
Thinking Wu Yu hadn’t noticed her little movements, she quietly shuffled the papers together, trying to hide them beneath her body.
But deceiving herself wouldn’t fool Wu Yu.
He set the takeout container down and reached out, flicking her ponytail.
"Let me see what you’re drawing."
"I didn’t draw anything!"
"I literally saw the feet of your character."
"You must’ve seen wrong!"
Qi Hang hurriedly refuted, pressing her face against the table with the back of her head facing Wu Yu.
But strength and endurance between men and women were different.
Without much effort, Wu Yu placed the rice noodles on the table, then scooped her up and tossed her onto the bed.
With her out of the way, he finally got a clear look at what she had been trying to hide.
He picked up the papers.
The more he looked, the darker his expression became.

He turned abruptly to stare at his girlfriend, who had buried her face under a pillow.
"How could you draw something like this?"
"…"
Qi Hang stayed silent.
Wu Yu strode over, yanked the pillow away, and flipped her over to face him.
She looked aggrieved, pouting as she mumbled, "I didn’t want to draw it either…"
"If you didn’t want to, then who forced you? Didn’t you say before that you’d never take commissions like this?"
"But… we don’t have any money right now…"
"…"
Hearing that, Wu Yu’s anger instantly faded.
Looking at her, head lowered, saying those words, his chest tightened with frustration, yet he couldn’t bring himself to say anything.
His fists clenched.
A deep sense of helplessness welled up inside him.
With a sigh, he slowly walked over and sat on the edge of the bed, looking at Qi Hang, who was now kneeling beside him. His expression shifted several times before he finally reached out and patted her head.
"You still have me, don’t you? My boss values my work a lot—he even said he’s giving me a bonus soon."
"Really?"
"Don’t worry. Things will get better for us."
"I knew you could do it!"
As soon as she said that, Qi Hang threw herself at him, wrapping her arms around Wu Yu and peppering his face with kisses.
"Muah! Muah!"
After a while of cuddling, the two gradually quieted down.
Wu Yu suddenly remembered something and pulled out the USB drive he had brought back.
"I almost forgot—I got you an opportunity!"
"An opportunity?"
Qi Hang looked up from his arms, her face filled with curiosity.
Without explaining, Wu Yu gestured for her to sit up. Then, he opened his laptop—though second-hand, it was still functional enough.
Once the files finished copying, he turned the screen toward her.
Qi Hang leaned in, her eyes scanning the text on the screen as she muttered,
"Pokémon… Wang Chi… Isn’t this that game your company released a while back? What is this? A novel?"
Hearing her question, Wu Yu became visibly excited. He hugged the laptop close and said eagerly,
"Today, the boss said they’re looking for someone to illustrate a manga based on the game’s story, and I recommended you!"
His eyes practically sparkled at the thought of his girlfriend’s dream.
"If you get selected, your work could be serialized in a magazine!"
"Really?!"
"Really!!"
"That’s amazing!"
She jumped off the bed, snatched the laptop from his hands, and ran to her drawing desk.
After pushing aside the inappropriate drawings she had been working on earlier, she focused intently on the new project.
Watching her serious expression, Wu Yu smiled indulgently and said,
"At least eat first before you start drawing."
September 4th
To prepare for the October 1st competition, An Yuanyao had completely stepped away from work and was fully immersed in choreographing the dance routine.
Though Liu Changqing didn’t quite understand why she insisted on choreographing it herself—even seeking advice from her former dance instructor—he knew better than to meddle in something he wasn’t skilled at.
Three days ago, when he told Liu Xiazhi that An Yuanyao would be participating with her, his sleepy daughter instantly became energized.
It was clear that Liu Xiazhi genuinely liked An Yuanyao.
Now, sitting in front of the computer, feeling the fan blowing against his face, Liu Changqing slouched in An Yuanyao’s chair, feeling utterly bored.
For her, choreography was now the top priority.
She hadn’t even come to the office yesterday.
"So boring…"
Knock, knock, knock.
Hearing the door, Liu Changqing instantly perked up, straightening his previously slouched posture and looking toward the entrance.
"Come in."
The door opened, and Wu Yu cautiously stepped in, approaching Liu Changqing and handing over a document.
"Boss… this is the artwork based on your outline…"
"It’s done already? That fast?"
Liu Changqing was surprised as he took the sketches and began flipping through them.
Wu Yu stood there nervously, watching every change in Liu Changqing’s expression—his occasional furrowed brows and serious demeanor made Wu Yu feel like he was doomed.
He could only wait in tense silence.
Finally, Liu Changqing finished reviewing the pages.
He placed the artwork gently on the desk, resting one hand on top while tapping it twice with his index finger.
"Your girlfriend drew this in just three days?"
"Y-Yes…"
"…"
The work wasn’t bad. It wasn’t outstanding either, but it was slightly above average.
However, the speed at which she completed it—Liu Changqing was impressed.
More importantly, she had managed to capture the essence of his provided storyline.
This guy’s girlfriend… she’s got talent.
It’s decided—you’re the one!
