Loving The Cursed Werewolf King-Chapter 652: Planning On Visiting Academy
"Is going to the academy that fun, Arielle?"
Arielle was a bit taken aback by the question. She was confused about what to say. She... simply didn’t have the opportunity to join the academy before. Her other siblings were academy graduates. Even Andrea and Alexis were the best graduates.
Aimee saw the sparkling in Arielle’s eyes slowly faded. Perhaps the girl was sad because she had never had a proper education at the academy. Something that should be earned as a royal princess. And there was no device to turn back time. Maybe if she was given the chance, Arielle might try to get into the academy too?
"Um... I never attended the academy. Like I said before, I learned to read and write from your brother," answered Arielle with a soft laugh to brush away her sadness.
"Do you want to attend the academy, Irene?" Arielle asked.
Irene’s eyes were opened wide. However, Arielle didn’t know what Irene was thinking because she immediately looked down and turned to another page of Aimee’s diaries even though she couldn’t read. Irene also had doubts of her own. She couldn’t read and write, and Sasha said that she was too old to attend the academy.
"Sasha said I’m too old to attend the academy."
"Eh? Are you worried about that, Princess?" asked Aimee in surprise.
Irene looked up then shook her head.
"I also can not read and write. Sasha said maybe I will fall behind in class. He told me to ask for a tutor instead, and it’s possible that I would get a better tutor than the teachers at the academy."
Arielle could imagine Sasha saying that, but she knew that the red-haired boy meant no harm. Aimee also thought the same thing. At the academy, not everyone was a good and kind person. Aimee also had a hard time getting along in the first year of the academy, but she could get along well with the others and befriended them.
Arielle would discuss this with Ronan. She was sure that the man wanted the best for his sister, and Irene’s happiness was his top priority. Maybe .... Maybe Ronan could help get Irene into the academy even though she was three years older?
"You really want to get into the academy?" Aimee asked.
"Um... actually, I don’t know, but Sasha said we will meet a lot of friends there."
Arielle agreed. If Irene kept staying in the palace, her friends were just adults. Besides, Sasha could only visit her every six months or every holiday, so Irene would definitely feel lonelier. If the girl had friends to play with and study together, it would be fun. Arielle would tell Ronan about this as soon as possible!
When Arielle wanted to find her husband, Ronan arrived with William. Aimee asked permission to leave the room, and Arielle asked Irene to stay for a moment because she had something important to say.
"William, could you wait a moment? We shall continue to discuss the affairs of Thebis after this. I want to talk to Arielle as well as Irene."
"Can I just sit on the couch? It’s really cold outside. You can’t possibly tell me to stand outside alone?"
"You can talk to the guard-"
"Lord William, please sit comfortably," said Arielle who told William to sit on the couch, making Ronan fall silent. He only glanced at William then told Arielle and Irene to sit on the chairs, where Priest Elis as well as Priest Louise talked to him earlier.
"Thank you, Your Highness. You are the queen we have always needed," William answered while bowing in respect to Arielle and returning Ronan’s glances before he relaxed his body on the couch.

"So, what do you and Irene want to say?" Ronan asked his wife.
Arielle turned to Irene. The girl was also looking at her with a confused look. Irene didn’t expect that their short talk made Arielle seriously ask the king about attending the academy.
Irene was embarrassed. She didn’t really want to attend the academy. She was just curious.
"Ronan, earlier I, Irene and Aimee were talking about the academy. And I think Irene, as your sister, also deserves to get an education like the other nobles, right?"
"Arielle..."
Arielle just smiled and stroked her sister-in-law’s head. She understood the reason Irene gave such a kind of reaction. Arielle was once in the girl’s position. She tried to refuse various kinds of gifts because she felt she didn’t deserve it.
However, Arielle had learned a lot. Sometimes, humans might ask for something beyond their capacity. If she didn’t get what she wanted, that was okay. The important thing was that she had tried asking for it.
"Education at the academy, hm?" asked Ronan, glancing at his sister.
It was too late for Irene to attend the academy. If she was put in class based on her age, it was clear that she fell quite a lot behind. However, if the girl started in the first year, it would also be such a pity.
Ronan didn’t mind if Irene wanted to start from freshman year, but he was worried about something. The academy was a place where all the noble children of the kingdom gathered. He didn’t want the nobles to look down on his little sister for having to start her first year too late. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
Actually, for the girl’s education, Ronan could have called a teacher at the academy to teach Irene everything without going to the academy.
"Do you want to study at the academy?" Ronan asked his sister.
Irene was silent for a moment. She thought long enough. She didn’t know. She didn’t want to force herself to attend the academy. Perhaps what she felt right now was just a moment of jealousy that could disappear at any time.
This was because Sasha constantly talking about the academy life he would face in two months. Maybe because Irene didn’t want to be lonely after Sasha’s leaving, she thought about the academy too.
But, was it really what she wanted?
"Irene?" called Ronan because Irene hadn’t answered him.
"Em... I-I don’t know. I’m just curious because Sasha kept talking about the academy. But, I don’t want to force myself because I know that I won’t be able to catch up with the other students who have studied at the academy a few years before," Irene replied quietly, making Ronan smile.
"If the knowledge you have is at their level, do you want to attend the academy?" Ronan asked again.
Irene really wasn’t sure. What if her knowledge was at the same level as the other students at the academy? She didn’t know. Besides, she had actually fallen far behind from the others. Irene also had a hard time opening up to new people. Surely, she would only be a burden, right?
"Princess Irene sure reminds me of someone!" said William who had got up from his chair and stood right behind Irene while holding the back of the child’s chair.
William turned to Arielle and smiled faintly. Seeing Princess Irene who couldn’t make up her mind made him remember about Arielle when she first came to Northendell. The queen was once a shy person and often kept what was on her mind to herself.
"Instead of deciding now, How about we pay a visit first? Taking a look so Princess Irene knows how the academy is," William exclaimed enthusiastically.
Ronan thought for a moment, and it sounded like a brilliant idea. He also wanted Arielle to see the academy where nobles go to school. Besides, he wanted to keep Arielle away from the palace in the next two days because he would have guests from Thebis.
Ronan didn’t want his wife to meet the people from Thebis. He didn’t know if they were pyramethians or anti-pyramethians. If they were in the anti-pyramethians’ side, then Arielle would be in a dangerous position.
"Good idea, William. In two days, I want you to accompany Arielle and Irene for a visit to the academy. After that, we will talk about our long trip."
"Long trip?" asked Arielle who heard nothing about the long trip plans from her husband.
"It’s still a secret. I will tell you after this," said the man.
Ronan then turned towards Irene. "And Irene, you don’t have to worry about anything. Look around at the academy and let me know what you think after your visit. Tell me if you want to attend the academy or not, honestly."
"Yeah, we will always support your decision," Arielle added, making Irene smile.
Ronan stood up from his chair. "And if you’re worried about the difference in the level of knowledge you and the students at the academy have, don’t worry about it. I can prepare for some basic lessons to make up for that. As long as you’re really dedicated to studying seriously, that’s it."
"Is that true?" Irene asked quickly.
Arielle could see the twinkling in the girl’s eyes had come back. It was full of hope and expectation. Arielle, Ronan, and William could see what Irene wanted very clearly, as clear as a crystal. There was no need for them to pay a visit to the academy. The three adults had already found the answers.
Realizing that she sounded too enthusiastic, Irene pressed her lips together, making the three adults laugh. In an instant, Irene’s face flushed even more. Arielle and William took turns stroking the girl’s head.
"I can teach Princess Irene very well," said William, who was immediately rejected by Ronan.
"What do you want to teach her? I remembered you kept getting remedial in every subject?" asked Ronan sarcastically.
"Hey, can you keep my dignity in front of the queen and the princess? At least pretend to think about it first."
"What a waste of time. You and Lazarus never qualified as a teacher," Ronan replied firmly.
"There’s Aimee!" Arielle exclaimed. She remembered that among them there was still a student with great achievements like Aimee.
And Irene already knew Aimee well, so the girl didn’t have to feel awkward with the new teachers anymore. That was what Arielle thought.
