Life didn't get easier, even in another world-Chương 411: Inside
Chương 411: Inside
The heavy damage to the area was clear once Kairen set foot inside the temple. There were traces of an intense fight all around, on top of all the blood stains on the walls and the floor.
At the center of the area was a machine, broken in some parts and sliced in the other.
'This isn't completely broken...'
Kairen realized it upon reaching the machine. A flow of energy could be felt surrounding it, or rather, a stream of universal power was oozing out from it. Kairen couldn't be sure if it had always been like this or if it was the result of his power that affected it now.
The answer didn't matter anyway.
One deep breath, two, three, Kairen prepared himself and relaxed his mind before standing right in front of the broken device and reaching out his hand.
'Please, let everything go smoothly...'
A tide of golden and silver currents cracked around Kairen's hand before shooting toward the machine, engulfing the whole thing in a dazzling light. The device vibrated, the light wavered, and the ground shook. Distant noises were calling out to him, but Kairen couldn't make them out clearly while close to the tingling sound of the device. His eardrums jingled from the vibration, making him dizzy and nauseous.
'Activate!'
All the cracks surrounding his hand rushed towards the device at once, surrounding it before seeping inside the damaged thing, making it shine with a clear light. The device tickled and shook, and the next instant, a massive amount of energy blasted out from it.
Kairen's feet slipped and he was moved slightly away from the machine, yet, he didn't let go of the link he'd created with it. The gears in the device began rotating, and the whole structure quacked; and when the tickling sounds came to a stop,
BOMMMMMM
A wall of light shot from the device to the sky.
. . . . . . . . .
"...It has started!"
In a room inside the castle located in The Void, a red-haired man slammed his book closed and shot up to his feet in a sudden, abrupt action. He didn't care about the shocked Stefan nor about the book he tossed aside, and ran out of the door, rushing to another room inside the castle.
"It's time!"
Roy kicked the door open and announced loudly to the sole occupant of the room. The person inside, Kain, jolted up from his bed in an instant as if splashed with hot water and ran to Roy.
"It's time? Already?"
"It happened later than planned."
"Ah!"
Without any further delay, the two rushed down the stairs and out of the castle, running towards a certain device that was built in The Void not too long ago.
"Do as I've told you."
"Y-yes!"
"Don't stop, no matter what."
"Yes, yes!"
Kain nodded his head and approached the device, lips pursed and fingertips slightly trembling. He took several deep breaths in an attempt to calm his racing heart before reaching out his hands towards the device.
A light blue light shone atop his fingers, expanding rapidly and engulfing his whole body. Water droplets formed around him little by little, dancing around him like carefree children. Kain's hands moved closer to the device until his fingertips lightly touched the edge of the machine.
VROOOOMMMMMM
As if its activation switch was being turned on, the device suddenly vibrated before tickling like a clock. And when the tickling sound came to an end,
BOOOMMMM
A wall of light shot up from the device into the endless horizon.
. . . . . . . .
As soon as the two devices were connected via their unique link, Roy left The Void, jumping into the vast cosmos where all the worlds were connected through the universal chain. In the endless darkness, a tiny dot was blinking like the sole star in the night.
"I have to get going as well..."
Today was a very important day for both Roy and a close friend of his.
. . . .
"Hmm... Interesting!"
The white-haired man was leaning back on the sofa, flipping a book, when he suddenly raised his head, staring out the window. The corners of his lips gradually curled up to a smile as his eyes narrowed to two slides. The book was tossed aside and the man stood up, leaving his room to enter a garden beside his house.
A huge machine was built at the center of the garden, ready to be activated.
'I knew that he wouldn't let me complete my plan and was prepared just in case, but he acted sooner than expected.' The white-haired man dismissed all the servants as he stood beside the device.
'He must've used that world and that boy to accelerate things.'
The man's pale fingertip slid down the metallic surface of the device.

"Well, in any case, the outcome won't change!"
He opened his palms and spread his hands, in a gesture similar to someone willing to hug the whole world. His usual smile was plastered to his face, eyes gleaming with a thrilled light.
BAAANGG
A crimson light shot out from his body, illuminating the whole area. Small red cracks jingled in the air, jumping around like small snakes ready to devour their prey. The Light intensified without stopping until the crimson storm reached the massive device.
BOOOMMM
A pillar of crimson light shot up to the sky, penetrating the boundaries of the world and vanishing from sight.
VROMMM
BOMMMM
The ground shook and cracked, screams rose up and the buildings began to collapse. The sky darkened, and the sun was covered by something. It was the moon, a solar eclipse happened all of a sudden. In the dark sky, red lightning roared, spreading in every direction like a spiderweb and covering the dome of the land.
"Hmmm~"
The man finally opened his eyes and glanced at the sky. Red was all that reflected in his colorless pupils.
"Oh, The Reason~" He hummed the name of the greatest entity in this universe. An entity that had long perished. "Are you satisfied? Is this what you wanted this universe to look like?"
Amidst the destruction and chaos, Samuel was the only person standing without any care in the world. He was the center of everything, the cause of everything, and the result of everything.
"This is what you get for tricking me, o, God!"
