Life didn't get easier, even in another world-Chapter 403 A new house
403 A new house
It took a long time for the due to travel to their destination. Then changed locations from a desert to a fertile land, one that was cold most of the time but had a lot of green land. Reyn was told that they have moved to the north, where the weather is chilly due to it being close to the polar.
While traveling the long way, Mister Roy didn't stop the little kid's education. He taught him a lot of things from reading and writing to calculating and other stuff. Reyn was gradually starting to understand what Mister Roy was doing as well. "Mmm mmm mmm~" the child, that was much taller compared to when he first met Roy two years ago, energetically drew a triangle in the ground using a stick. "Sooo we are going to make two more buildings so that they'll make a triangle?"
"...How did you reach that conclusion?"
Slapping the notebook in his hands close, the red-haired man shot a scowl at the kid.
"Uh, I- ummm..." Reyn clasped his hands and looked away. "I-I guessed..."
"You peeked at my notebooks!?"
"I didn't mean to! They were left open and I saw some of the notes while passing!"

"Reyn!!!"
At the man's shout, tears welled up in the kid's eyes immediately. "I'm sorry..."
"..." The red-haired mister shook his head with a sigh. "Don't touch my books or notes without permission ever again."
"Yeah..." After a brief silence, the pouting child asked again, "But why shouldn't I read them?"
"They are dangerous."
"Dangerous?" Reyn tilted his head. "But they were just some calculations and patterns? What's so dangerous and forbidden about them?"
"You won't get it unless you understand those formulas."
"I understand. They weren't that complicated! I just don't know anything about the power of the source that was written everywhere."
"...."
Roy paused his actions and frowned even more. Seeing the expression, the kid clasped his hands once again in fear, ready to apologize, but to his surprise, his mister didn't get mad at him but asked with clear doubt, "You understood them?"
"Mn!" Reynold nodded his head. "How far did you read?"
"...."
"How far?"
"..."
"Till the end?"
Nod Nod
"And you understood it?"
Nod Nod
"All of them except for the power of source?"
"I'm not lying, mister. I understood them. Not all of the details and calculations, but the whole thing, I kinda got that."
"..."
Roy looked at the kid, at his notebook, then back at the kid. "Either you are a genius or I'm dump."
. . . . . . . Their new house wasn't underground but in a village near the location they'd chosen to build the new structure. At first, Reyn was scared of the new village at first. He had gone to cities and villages before with Mister Roy, but they hadn't ever resided in one. However, after some time, he got used to it and began to like their new life. There were a lot of children in the village that Reyn could play with. When he found out that they couldn't read or write, he tried to teach them the things he'd learned from Mister Roy, but couldn't do much as the children of the village had to work at the farms to help their parents and thus didn't have the time to study. Reyn felt a little bit jealous of them sometimes. If things had gone normally, he too would have been working on his family's farm alongside his father and brother right now. He knew that the job was hard but he couldn't help but dream about it sometimes. Still, he had Mister Roy so he didn't feel lonely too much. "This place is sooooooo prettyyyy~"
Yelling at the top of his lungs, Reyn ran into the green land among the grass and spring flowers. Their previous residence felt so miserable compared to this place. Reyn liked grass and flowers. "Slow down."
The kid ignored the redhead's remark and circled around even faster. Mister Roy was marking the ground with exact measurements and had asked the kid not to disturb him. While running, for an instant, little Reyn felt like his body has lost all the weight. Feeling lightheaded, lost his balance and stumbled down, falling to the ground the next second and letting out a grown. "Owwiee..."
"Reyn!"
"Sowwy..." The kid apologized while rubbing his nose. "Are you hurt?"
"No."
"Be still."
"Okaayy..."
Reyn crawled his way back and settled down beside his mister, watching the man draw shapes and lines in the ground. . . . . . . . .
With the sound of the birds chirping, the young boy yawned before opening his eyes. His body, which seemed to have been beaten a few times while asleep, more tired than the last night when he went to bed, trembled slightly as he sat up. For a second, the world spun around him before becoming still again. This has been happening a lot recently so Reyn wasn't surprised. "Uh, I..." The child rubbed his eyes as he removed the blanket over him, trying to get up. "I guess I came here last night..."
11:41
"Uh..."
"Why were you sleeping here? When did you come?"
He jolted up at the voice that came from behind his back and looked back. Mister Roy was leaning on the wall, arms folded, staring at the kid who was, instead of being in his own room, sleeping in the redhead's bed.
"Uh, I..." The child rubbed his eyes as he removed the blanket over him, trying to get up. "I guess I came here last night..."
"You've been sneaking inside my bed and sticking to my side at night recently."
"Mmm..."
"Why?"
"I don't, ah!" Before being able to stand up, Rey stumbled and plopped to the ground. "....Are you not feeling well?"
Shake shake
"What's the matter?"
Coming close to examine, Roy helped the kid up before checking his condition. "I don't know. It hurts, but when Mister is around, it doesn't, just like back then... I guess I came here in my sleep to be near Mister because of that."
"...."
Hearing the child's murmurs, a frown formed on the redhead's face, yet he didn't say anything else and just helped the child fall back asleep.
