Legendary Shelter Survival Guide-Chapter 244: Another guy’s demise by the gods (2)
"Did something like that happen to his group too?"
"We don’t know yet but it seems like it."
"From what I understood with his speaking, his group is dead."
"Don’t say it like that Barney. We will have to ask him."
"No"
Everyone looked at Lucas who just denied asking the question they all had in their minds.
"Why?" Haley asked with a pout.
"Because this is not a joke, if his people died, it is a very devastating thing to happen to anyone. I will be talking with him with Uncle John. Trust me, I wouldn’t be indulging in his traumas like this if I did not have to confirm everyone’s safety."
Haley wanted to rebuke yet she had nothing to say.
Lucas was right, if his people died, and some were like family or even worse, the real family of Phil. Then his group’s dying could be a trauma that was very hard to come out of.
"We will let him sleep as much as possible," Lucas said with a distant look.
Almost everyone mature enough looked at him with a warm smile that Lucas had no time to even notice.
They had seen their leader change so much in such a short time.
From an edgy kid who did not trust properly, Lucas had come a long way. He was sheltered for 19 long years yet that thing was past now.
He was now a person whom 10 people looked up to, he was THE LEADER.
Lucas went down to his escape of a place again and started his research in peace.
There was no time left now, he skimmed everything and after making heads and toes about the topic, he wrote the gist on the slab again.
The list on it had become a lot bigger than before.
Lucas took hours of studying the guidelines until he was done after countless hours of hard work for many days.
The slab in front of him was filled to the brim with inscribed in English. He felt proud of how much he had written and dumbed it down for the others. Find exclusive stories on novelbuddy
"Uncle John" he called after coming out of the curtains.
He knew that John had entered the workshop some hours ago meaning that the shift had changed and now someone else was sitting beside Phil.
And he was right, John was working in his own workshop making some pouches for the group’s infamous belt.
"What is it, Lucas?"
"Can you come- wait, I will just bring it along."
Lucas took hold of the slab and slowly brought it out.
It was such a difference that he had a simple insightful moment.
When the slab was just a piece of stone, Lucas had made it bash into many stuff before keeping it in his workshop.
But now that all of it was covered in valuable information, Lucas deemed it as a treasure that he had to protect even if some of his bones broke.
When he kept it in front of John, the man couldn’t help but feel anxiety, it was work that he had completed after countless hours of hard work and if John were to say it was wrong, Lucas would get very disappointed.
He had a growth mindset yet not when he had worked on something so long only to have it rejected by a sage kind of man.
"This is…"
Lucas’s heartbeat started in his forehead.
"Mind-blowing"
"What?"
"That’s what I want to know… What? When did you get this ready?" John asked with a very happy face.
His eyes told Lucas that he was delighted with the result making Lucas finally relaxed.
"I have been working at it for many days now, this way, everyone will know what is meant to be done for the territory before the end of the year."
"Yeah, I have read all this in the guidelines but everything here is written very simply. Nobody will have a problem in understanding, not even Jerry."
"Wow, you really hate Jerry."
"No, I don’t. He just makes me irksome. You know what I mean, frustrated should be the right word… or hate?"
John entertained his own thoughts while Lucas looked at him with exhaustion.
"Alright Alright, I get it. Your bromance is the best. Now on a serious note, do you think I should put it outside on the wall of the shelter?"
"Pretty good idea. I will help you."
"No no, it’s alright, it’s a one-man job. I will be back in a few."
"If you say so."
Lucas went up and without anyone noticing, he first kept the big slab with the support of the wall but soon realized that this was not enough.
He built a small hole for the slab to fit into, the slab was slightly bigger than expected for the hole and Lucas had to now dig a bigger hole than before.
"What are you doing?" Sandra asked while crouching down, Lucas looked up while digging and saw her face inches away from his.
He froze thinking she was too close to him, he could practically hear her breathing. It was a rather tingly feeling on his skin.
"Oh? Will this perhaps be considered as cheating?" Sandra asked, her face too playful for her own good while she kept an eye contact with Lucas all this time.

Lucas backed away and first looked at her with a frown which soon changed to surprise when he thought of what she said just now.
"What cheating?"
"So you don’t feel this to be cheating? Huh, does Sarah think the same way or are you the one who is this open-minded?"
Lucas backed away even more when he heard about this, he looked left and right and sighed in relief that no one was there to listen to her.
"You are very dangerous. How long have you known about it?" Lucas asked her with a straight face but deep down, he was trying to find an excuse to tell her.
"Since you both came back, don’t worry, only me and my sister know. But if you don’t want my mouth to open, it may cost you hehehe~"
