Elias was in a hurry to return to the merger storm to see the extent of progress with Lycorice. But after entering the tent, he didn't make any extreme movements.

He simply sat on a chair, and closed his eyes. He started expecting a guest, that was inevitable.

A few minutes later, he felt a gust of wind brush past his skin, and someone appeared in the room.

Elias slowly opened his eyes, and glanced at the person that had arrived. Everything went as per his expectations, and now Helen was standing before him.

Elten still hadn't arrived, and he didn't find it strange. His Elder brother didn't want to be in close proximity with someone that inherited such hateful flames.

"Professor!" Elias stood up, expressing his shock to find Helen before him. "I..."

He hesitated, and didn't know what to say next. He

had been exposed as the Inheritor because of an unexpected situation, and now the Professors knew about his flames.

He was quite hesitant, and a little worried about his safety. At least that was the impression he gave to Helen.

"You have hidden yourself quite well. I never thought that you would be the inheritor of these flames. The person that stood out the least in the class, was hiding such a big secret."

Helen extended her hand, and placed it over Elias's head. She started rubbing his hair, and her expressions softened.

"Were you worried about your safety? Is that why you don't come forward to accept the reward?"

Elias lowered his head, and didn't reply to her. But his eyes were filled with sadness, as if he had been caught by her.

"You brat, did you really think the Academy would let anyone hurt you after you inherited these flames? Do you not even trust us?" She lowered her hand, and pinched Elias's cheeks hard. "Did you think the Academy would kill you and snatch those flames of yours?"

Elias still kept silent, like a hesitant child. Still, he gathered some courage and nodded his head.

"No wonder you didn't reveal these flames even when your Summoned Beast died. If it wasn't for your life being in danger, we still wouldn't know what kind of treasure you were hiding within this small body."

Helen could understand why Elias was scared. He didn't have any big family to rely on. He came from a mortal family, and didn't have anyone to support him.

If he was killed at the Academy, no one would even raise a brow. He was just being cautious, as he thought that the Academy would just kill him and take the flames.

"You don't know anything about these flames. No wonder you were so frightened. You brat, no one can take these flames from you, even if they killed you."

"Once the owner of the flames is killed, the flames would just disappear with them. That's why it's so rare to possess these flames in the universe."

She didn't scold Elias for being scared. In her eyes, he was just a child who was scared. So she tried to explain more about these flames, to make him understand that the Academy wouldn't harm him.

"There are only two ways for the flames to pass over to another person. The first method is for the owner to die a natural death of old age, without any outside interference. Then the flames don't disappear, but stay inside the corpse, waiting for the next suitable owner."

"As for the second method, it's for the other to willingly abandon the flames, without any external interference like use of force, or mind control. The flames can sense your feelings, and even the status of your mind. So it's impossible to snatch the flames by forcing the owner."

"That is why, the Academy can't snatch these flames from you. It's just easier to just accept you as part of the Academy, and raise you as one of the leaders of the future generation."

Helen finished her explanation, and saw a wave of relief wash over Elias's face. He truly looked like a child at this moment, and not like the person that had just washed the battlefield with the blood of the Destroyer Faction.

"So I will not be harmed?" Elias asked, looking up with sparkling eyes.

"Tch. Such fake acting." Astralious spat out, but no spit came out of his mouth as he was just in the spiritual form that only Elias could see. "If I was in her place, I would have caught your acting in an instant."

"I promise you. The Academy has no intention to harm you. The Dean truly wants to reward you, and accept you as part of the Academy. As you're not a descendant of another great family, it's even better for the Academy."

If it was an ordinary child, she wouldn't even spare a second glance at them. But it was the person that had the potential to become the best leader of the Academy. She truly treated him like her own child, with great compassion.

She repeatedly patted his head in affection, to appear more welcoming.

"Do you trust me?" she asked as a warm smile spread across his face.

Elias looked in her eyes, with

his uneasiness vanishing from them. "I trust you."

"You don't want to hide your abilities from the Academy? Will you come with me to meet the Dean when we return and accept the rewards from the Academy?" Helen changed her question, reeling in the golden fish that she had just hooked.

"I will meet the Dean. I will accept the award and become the Star Disciple of the Academy."

"Great!" Helen's eyes also lit up after Elias had accepted her as a mentor. "The test will still continue for a little longer. So I can't take you back yet. But once we are done, you will come back with me."

She quickly disappeared after achieving her purpose, and returned to Elten. She had already broken a few rules by talking to a participant before the test ended, but Elten didn't raise any objection.

He remained seated on his throne, his gaze shifting back and forth between the inheritor within the tent, and the Merger Storm.
