Legendary Architect of Apocalypse-Chapter 155: Water
He could somewhat understand the Shadow Domain, as it wasn't inherently offensive. But a domain that allowed him to wield flames? That was no different than having received another elemental blessing.
"If you already have the blessing of flames, then you might have a higher chance of making the Ice Phoenix Flames your own. And when you do, you might even be able to incorporate them into this domain."
Just thinking about the value of this domain, if it were able to use the Ice Phoenix Flames instead of normal flames, was enough to make Astralious burn with jealousy.
If he had possessed these things, would he really have lost to Silas? There was no way in hell that would have happened.
"Arghhh!!! Why couldn't my luck be as good as yours?" He grabbed his hair, cursing the heavens for being so unfair to a Constellation like him.
After looking at Astralious's crazed response, Elias quickly dropped the thought of telling him exactly how many domains he possessed.
If two domains were enough for Astralious to curse the heavens, then he didn't know what he was going to do if he heard that he had four domains, not two.
These were the domains that he had gained after merging with the essence of the fables.
The fables that he merged with, didn't have these domains. But once their purest form of essence combined within his body, it formed the essence of five elements and granted him these domains.
So far, he hadn't needed to use the other Domains as his Shadow Blades and Shadow Domain had helped him deal with any unexpected situation. If the skeleton hadn't forced him, he still wouldn't have used anything else.
"Can you stop crying for a moment? I don't want to be distracted by yo-"
Elias tried to restrain Astralious, but his words were cut short when the Skeleton moved again, turning into a blur. He had finished analyzing the domain of fire, and returned his attention to Elias.
Two wings came from Elias' back, but unlike the wings of the shadows from before, they were the wings that were burning in bright red flames.
The skeleton was faster than him in speed, strength and even defence. Even with the help of the Domain of Fire, Elias had barely managed to reduce the gap but not completely erase it.
"He is stronger than you in strength and speed. Even with the domain, can you really close the gap?" Astralious asked, watching Elias fly to the little skeleton to attack him.
"Who said I was going to turn this into a battle of stats? Even I am not a fool like that." Elias swung his Sword at the little skeleton.
The little skeleton raised his dagger sized sword and blocked the attack.
"The Domain was never meant to refuse the difference in stats. Its entire use..." Elias was pushed back by the skeleton, but he didn't look upset.
Instead, it was the skeleton that reacted sharply when the spheres of flames came flying towards him from the walls of the ring.
"...was to turn this into an unfair advantage of number towards me," Elias completed his sentence, as he attacked the skeleton again, while the flaming orbs kept raising on the skeleton.
"The small skeleton might have high strength, defence or speed. But even it can't take hundreds of attacks alone!"
Every time the skeleton cut off the flaming orbs, the orbs exploded and hurt him. But even worse was that it allowed Elias an opportunity to strike him.
Even if his attacks barely managed to chip off small parts of the light skeleton's bones with each sword strike, but the damage kept accumulating as he struck on the same point.
If the skeleton tried to block his attack instead, the flaming orbs struck him from every direction, hurting the skeleton ever so slightly.
"I see. You have turned this into a battle of attrition!" Astralious clapped his hands, watching the battle within the flaming domain.
As long as Elias was not directly struck by an attack and died, it was truly something that was beneficial for him. It even allowed him an opportunity to practice a pure battle.
There was only one problem that he could see. As per Elias's own words, the Domain consumed a lot of his energy. And each attack consumed even more.
Within twenty minutes of the battle, he could see the flames of the wall growing weaker. Elias's face was slowly growing more pale with each passing minute, his clothes drenched in sweat.
The battle of attrition was as bad for the skeleton as it was for Elias. At a certain point, Astralious wasn't sure if Elias could actually take it down anymore.
"Are you sure it is working as you wanted?" Astralious asked loudly, watching the throat bone of the skeleton that was only chipped halfway throughout this battle.
"It's working better than I wanted," Elias answered, breathing heavily. "Just a little more!"
The fight continued for another ten minutes, with the temperature almost reaching a boiling point.
The chipping of the throat bone reached almost eighty percent after hundreds of strikes, but even now, Astralious couldn't see any possibility of completely severing it anytime soon.
The flames in the domain had almost died down, with the wall of flames being left only a few centimetres high, the attacks from the walls almost ending.

"We can still try to run! You don't have to be brave and put your life on the line! There is no shame in running!" Astralious yelled at Elias, who was sent flying back with another strike that he barely blocked with his sword and trembling arms.
Elias flew back towards the wall in the back, barely regaining his balance in the air. His feet touched the wall, and he used them to propel himself back, the flaming red wings on his back slowly shifting color into a deeper shade of blue.
The wall of flames also completely died, but something else rose from their place.
"Water?" Astralious mumbled, watching the flames on Elias's sword change to a very thin layer of water.
"Why would I run when I am going to put an end to this?!" Elias swung his sword, putting every bit of his strength behind the attack to overcome the stat difference.
The sword that was surrounded with cold water instead of the hot flames, struck the exact point on the bone Sword that it had hit multiple times before. But this time, the bone Sword failed to block it, having weakened already.
The Bone Sword shattered in two parts as a trail of beautiful blue shade was left behind. The Sword flashed past the skeleton, cutting completely through the bones connecting his skull to the rest of his body.
