Legacy Of Fire: Chronicles Of The F-ranked Anomaly-Chapter 60: Goals and Family
It was as if the entire room was enveloped in the man’s mana, the lights flickered with every step he took.
Darius looked up to see a man who looked a bit agile with a face that would put men of his age to shame, blessed with beautiful black hair. Dressed in an expensive brown suit, as he walked close to Darius and Theo, the pressure loosened.
The intense pressure coming from Chairman Victor reminded Darius of when he faced Slav’s humanoid form. It was different, and in a sense, it was downright scary.
"The Chairman of Creston Warrior’s Association, former Mythic Rank, Victor Hordes!" Keith smiled as he presented the chairman to them.
"Former? Does that mean he lost his powers or something?" Darius was looking at Keith, he didn’t understand what they meant by former Mythic Rank.
"No, he is now the chairman, which means he doesn’t enter dungeons anymore due to his position," Theo explained, turning back to the man. But his rank doesn’t seem to be a bluff. Standing in the same room as him makes me feel uneasy. If I were a lower rank, then chances are that I might have passed out."
Victor Hordes stood in front of the two warriors, a smile on his face, with his hands folded.
"It is pleasant to see that there are still warriors of your caliber to open a guild in mind." He was looking at Darius, the smile on his face was enchanting. "Now, Mr. Winters, I know opening a guild sounds like a blast, but you need to make sure that you are not going to get lost in the thrill of making money and make sure that you..."
"I am not going to the captain." Darius stopped Victor halfway and pointed to Theo. "He is the guild master."
Theo had sweat dropping from his forehead when he saw Darius pointing to him.
’I don’t know why, but this doesn’t feel right. Even the association is going to wonder what this man is doing.’
Victor turned to Theo. He was sure that they told him Darius was the SS-rank and Theo S-rank, but then why was he not the guild master?
"That’s new. may I ask why you aren’t the guild master?" He smiled as he looked at Darius.
"Theo is the best fit for it, and he would be able to do things I can’t, like keeping a leveled head during situations that need it." Darius blurted out like he had been waiting for the question.
Victor was looking at them, his smile still not fading as he stood straight to look at them.
"I see. So, if I may ask another question, what type of guild do you plan to open?" He turned his attention to Theo, wanting to know what answer he would receive.
Theo was silent for a while. He turned to look at his white haired companion once he saw Darius’s goofy smile. He gathered the courage to look back at Victor, he began talking.
"I want to form a guild where the members are treated like family and not just coworkers!" He blurted out. He stared at Victor, not minding his intimidating gaze. "I want a guild where we can all talk to each other and support each other just like family."
The men were shocked, it was a bold thing to say and coming from someone like Theo Sung, they knew it was going to be what they would be working for.
Victor gave them a faint smile; he looked at the two, seeing that they were full of life.
"Is that so?" He scratched his head; the warrior’s words had come unexpectedly, and he was not even sure what he was going to say about it.
"But you know, if you are going to form a guild like that, you would still need other members that aren’t you and your odd-looking companion over here." He turned to look at Darius, he smiled looking at him.
"Huh? Did he just call me odd?!" Our young warrior blurted out.
Victor chuckles lightly, turning his attention back to Theo. "I am only saying, if you are going to do this, then you should make sure you would work with people who understand your cause and not people who would stir away from your when the time comes for action."
Theo understood what Victor was trying to say. He nodded his head, he looked at the man with a determined look on his face.
"We will do our best!" Theo saluted the man, he was not going to do anything short of what he said. He would fight to form a guild where they would be like one huge family.
Victor smiled; he was happy to see warriors with such ambition and all.
"Now, I believe you know the procedures," Victor folded his arms. "Make sure you submit your names to the Guild Lobby and then begin recruitment. Also, come back here when you have five core members."
"Yes, sir!"
Victor nodded, telling them that they were done there. Keith and Liu stepped front, they were waiting for the boss to finish with his speech and everything before they would come in to say anything.
"Now, Mr. Sung and Mr. Winters, it is good to say both of you are now officially evaluated! We would love to see your good works out there." Liu said as he shook Theo and Darius.
"Thank you, we will do our best!" They said in unison.
The warriors were smiling; they turned and were about to walk out of the room.
"Darius,"
They heard Victor call out. Darius turned to look at the man.
"Yes, sir?"
Victor asked with a weird look on his face. "Make sure you keep your head low, and also, before you act out of anger, try to put every possible outcome down in your mind. You should be okay, I would love to see what you have for us."
Darius was shocked to hear that from the chairman, given that he had just met him.
"I will do my best, sir!"
The chairman smiled, he gave them a thumbs up. "I know you will."
