Chapter 150: Trial Of Water Part 14: I Got Grit!

"Mana Steal!"

Darius yelled, holding Acier down; suddenly, he felt a surge of power going through his body, giving him a boost.

"What are you—" Acier tried to pull away, feeling weak; she could tell that something was going on.

[Mana Steal: Ability allows Host to Halve The Mana of the opponent, in a wider range, can take the mana of all the magical beings in the area, adding it to his!]

Darius had a smile on his face, trying to drain Acier, but he knew that there was going to be something that would throw him off from it, and it wasn’t going to be fun.

Acier, noticing that her strength was fading, takes her head back before headbutting Darius. The hit pushed Darius back, but then our young warrior had gotten what he needed from the champion, it was time for him to make sure that he would end her.

[Mana: 200,000/300,000!]

A nasty smile appeared on our young warrior’s face. He was ready to deal with her, and it wasn’t going to be a bluff this time.

"I wouldn’t want to know what is so amusing to you that it makes you smile like that." Acier kept her eyes on Darius; she knew that the warrior was not someone who would let you take a step out without trying to kill you.

"But I am done playing games with you!"

She bolted for Darius, not wasting a second to swing her chakram, trying to take his head off with it.

Darius dodges, but then the swing was almost so fast that if he had wasted another second then his head would pay for it.

Without any hesitation, Darius kicked her back. A powerful kick that was enough to shatter any bone that tried to block its impact.

"You’re getting slow, water witch."

Darius taunted, about to land another blow, when Acier caught him halfway. She wasn’t even going to give him the chance of standing for even a second, covering his leg with water.

"Prism Of The Lake!"

Her hold on Darius was so powerful that it felt unreal; no one would even be able to break free from it.

"I believe I told you, this is where you die!" Acier lifted Darius, slamming the young warrior down onto the ground with extreme force. The floor shattered, Darius grunting out of pain, and tried to fight it. But then the knight was towering over him.

"You believe that hitting me down like that would help you win?" She stomped down on his chest, but Darius held her feet, not letting her hit him. His hands were cracking; he knew that one mistake would lead to his demise.

Even though he had managed to get his mana back, his regeneration was still slowed down, making it hard for him to even think of taking on attacks like that.

Any mistake he made would be the end of him, and there was no way he would be able to survive anything else.

"Oi, water witch." Darius was holding her leg up, gritting his teeth as he kept pushing. "I don’t think you understand how mortals work. I am not going to let you stomp me down here!"

Darius pushes himself out of the way, his eyes on Acier as he takes one step back, facing the knight.

"Don’t let this take you down easily now!" Darius yelled as he leaped into the air, before anyone could say anything, he slammed his hands together, sending a powerful shockwave throughout the temple.

[Dragon’s Whip Activated!]

The shockwave had sent Acier down on her knees, but she wasn’t backing out of the fight. She stood up, looking at Darius, and threw her chakram at Darius.

Our young warrior blocked the hit, sending the Chakram up to the temple roof. Acier saw that Darius was now fighting here with all he had within him; he knew it was going to be foolish to charge at him without a plan.

"Awaken!"

Darius was about to attack when he felt a strange magic, which was not coming from her but the chakram. He saw it shaking, without even being given a warning, he took a step back, knowing that the weapon would kill him if he was not careful with what he was doing.

The chakram broke off the ceiling, falling into Acier’s hand. She held the blade closely, looking at the man in front of her.

"Tears Of The Ocean, Cries of The Sea, Awaken Seafury!" She had a deep and eerie voice, which made the entire place shake, almost like he had summoned a spirit from the deep.

The chakram split into two crescent blades, letting out a deep ocean blue glow. Acier’s body glowed with the blades; she was ready to kill the warrior.

Darius took a step back, looking at her, he knew that things were going to get more flashy, and he was not going to be the one beaten down.

He held his hand out, looking at Acier closely. "Come, Ve’xa!"

There was a sharp howl from the wind before the blade entered his hand. Darius was looking at the knight, and he was ready for a fight.

"This is going to be our last duel, so I will beg of you. Please don’t hold back on me. I don’t know why you are so scared to do something like this. Normally, there is no way for you to lose if you put your thoughts into it."

Darius micked, looking at Acier, a blade could cut through the silence with these two staring at each other, waiting for the other to make a move, so they would counter it.

"You don’t know when to give up, do you, child of chaos..." Acier dashed forward, not waiting anymore; she was going to his head.

Swinging her blade, aiming for our young warrior’s neck.

Clang!

A loud clash of blades could be heard, followed by the sparks from their collision.

Darius turned to look at her, not wasting a second, and let out his wail. The scream pushed Acier back a bit, but then it wasn’t enough to make her quit.

She pulled Darius in, landing a powerful punch on his face. Darius was sent flying across the temple. He knew it was not going to be easy for him to win her the same way he won Pryion.

"What in the world am I going to do with you?" His eyes on the knight, he took one step back, taking a deep breath, his eyes on her.

He threw Ve’xa to the ground, warming his fists up before he threw one punch.

The strong telekinetic punch went for Acier, but she managed to push it away.

But then it wasn’t just one; Darius was sending punch after punch. His speed increasing as well as his precision.

"Arrgh!" He roared as he kept delivering the blows; they were fast, unblockable, and devastating.

[Phantom Barrage: Gattling Canon Mode!]

Darius kept throwing his punches, and they were increasing in speed. 𝗳𝗿𝐞𝕖𝘄𝗲𝕓𝗻𝚘𝚟𝕖𝐥.𝚌𝕠𝕞

Acier couldn’t block all of them; it slowly chipped off her armour as she tried to make sure that nothing would take her down.

"Enough of this foolishness!" She violently whispered, holding her blades up in a crossed-armed way.

"Typhoon Slash!" She yelled, sending two powerful slashes at Darius, ignoring the punches that the young warrior was sending her way.

Darius saw the slashes coming, instinctively jumping out of the way before they would hit him.

He turned to her, a smile on his face as he inhaled deeply.

"Draconic Blast!"

[Draconic Blast Activated!]

A powerful sonokinetic wave fired straight for Acier, but before it could hit her, she evaded it.

Her blades still glowing as she dashed for Darius, trying to take his head off again.

But this time, before she could come closer, she felt something; it was as if there was something eating up her energy.

She jumped back to see that Ve’xa was glowing, even though it was on the floor, it had activated gluttony.

’That blade, it’s a problem even on its own.’

She held the blades down, spawning several clones of herself simultaneously. Darius looked around to see that she was trying to hurt him again using that move.

But then that wasn’t the case; the clones began attacking him. Even though they weren’t as strong as her, they still landed powerful, life-threatening hits.

Darius roared, following his roar was his crimson flame that burnt down the clones, pushing them away.

Filled with excitement that he had taken down the clones, he slowly turned to look at Acier. "That will show you—"

It was sudden, and it felt cold. Acier had plunged one of her blades into Darius’s stomach.

"I told you, didn’t I?" She pushed the blade in more, trying to make sure that he would die.

"This is where you die!" Acier smiled, she leaned forward, whispering into his ear. "Not even the powers of chaos could save you."

Darius looked at the blade inside him; he could feel his life fading away from him.

Blood gushed from his mouth as his body suddenly grew weak. "I don’t think I can push on any mor—" His eyes suddenly began closing, too weak to even complete his sentence.

The moment his eyes closed, he saw it. The reason he was fighting, Lena’s smile, Theo standing there, and the others.

’Not yet, Darius...’ Azree’s voice howled in his head.

’Not now!’

Darius opened his eyes, ignoring the pain from the blade, and he looked up with a burning rage in his heart.

"And I told you!" He grabbed Acier by the hand, looking her in the eye. "I am not dying here!"

Darius put both his hands on her face, letting out a powerful shriek that shattered her helmet, exposing her long curly hair. Darius kept on screaming until Acier pulled her weapon and jumped back.

Looking at Darius, she was short of words. Her face was riddled with wounds from the shriek, her ears bleeding, and her face filled with cuts.

"How do you keep coming back?!" She roared, her voice laced with desperation.

Darius walked to his blade, his hand on the wound she had given him.

"How?" Darius reached his blade, pulling it off the ground and pointing it at her.

"Cause I got grit!"
