Laid-Back Life in Tokyo: I Really Didn't Want to Work Hard-Chapter 826 - 490: Departure, Heading to Hokkaido
"Sakura-kun, Sakura-kun, it’s time to wake up."
Uesugi Sakura hadn’t completely awakened from the sofa, and upon opening his eyes, he saw the smiling girl in front of him.
Hanamaru Hanabi’s voice was gentle, and her hands lightly pushed him with tenderness.
Uesugi Sakura paused for a moment, allowing his consciousness to escape sleep, and glanced at the gradually brightening sky outside the living room’s floor-to-ceiling window.
"Remember what’s planned for today, Sakura-kun?"
"Hmm, a trip to Hokkaido for three days." Uesugi Sakura nodded while holding his forehead.
"And the goal?"
"Aim to raise your affection level to 50 with Hanabi during this time."
Only then did Uesugi Sakura carefully look at the girl. She was already up and had changed into the clothes she’d wear today.
A light pink jacket wrapped over her preppy knit sweater, a small butterfly at the collar, with slightly thicker black stockings below her skirt, a leg band on her right leg, and a pair of delicate butterfly accessories on her ankle.
At this moment, Uesugi Sakura was sure; she was Black Hanabi.
She was someone who, out of love for him, could split herself into two distinct personalities and styles to cater to his preferences.
She was Hanabi, yet not entirely Hanabi.
The next three days, she’d accompany him throughout.
"Sakura-kun, hurry up and get up, it’s early now, but we need to meet up with mom and the others later."
Hanamaru Hanabi smiled prettily: "But since Sakura-kun’s affection level is currently 0, Hanabi can’t make breakfast or tidy up for him. Even though I’d love to do that, it’s not allowed."
"I understand."
Uesugi Sakura threw off the blanket and sat up from the sofa.
He tidied the blanket, arranged the pillows, and then went to the bedroom to prepare all the large and small things he’d need for the trip. He zipped up the packed suitcase and changed into a jacket Hanabi had previously bought for him, then stepped out of the bedroom.
Looking around the living room, Uesugi Sakura realized Hanamaru Hanabi had gone to help Aei and the others pack their things.
Uesugi Sakura stood outside the door, unintentionally observing everything before him.
Actually, even as Black Hanabi, there’s still love in her heart for everyone.
Her essence remains unchanged.
Aei suddenly jumped out of the room.
"Nini~ Let’s go!"
"Alright, let’s go."
Watching little Aei with her backpack, almost flying with joy, Uesugi Sakura smiled inadvertently.

Haneda Airport.
The domestic terminal, a vast airport platform, a free shuttle bus stopped in front of the crowd.
It was just five o’clock in the morning, the evening breeze was a bit strong, the girl’s skirt fluttering, hair swaying, she pressed her skirt with one hand, and her little hat on her head with the other.
As soon as the bus arrived and the luggage compartment opened, she followed the crowd to put her luggage inside.
"I’ll do it." Uesugi Sakura placed a hand on her suitcase.
"All these need Sakura-kun’s help." Hanamaru Hanabi said to him, her hair constantly fluttering in the wind.
"No problem."
Uesugi Sakura carried the luggage and helped Hanamaru Hanabi and her mom place it into the bus’s luggage compartment.
After all the bags were loaded, everyone finally boarded the bus.
The two mothers had seats because they were carrying the two little ones, Hanamaru Hanami and Uesugi Shin.
Aei and Chiaei then stood beside their brother and sister.
"Nini~ Are we going to take the plane?" Aei tugged at his clothes, joyfully asking.
"Yes, indeed."
"It’s the first time seeing a plane up close..." Chiaei said beside Hanamaru Hanabi, her eyes gazing at the airport’s uniform lighting outside the car window, and the large planes emitting engine noises during takeoff.
Probably their first time flying, the two little girls were filled with curiosity in the airport waiting hall.
"It’s so big here."
"Really big..."
Uesugi Sakura smiled and asked, "Is it that fascinating?"
"Nini, airplanes, Aei has only seen them on TV before!"
"Indeed." Chiaei nodded along.
Speaking of which, Uesugi Sakura could vaguely remember his own bewilderment upon first entering an airport.
Back then, he was at a loss, unsure of what to do, where the check-in entrance was, or where to board.
He just felt the enormous aviation terminal overhead gave him a vast, transparent sensation.
The items inside also left an impression of luxury and unaffordability.
Now, Aei and Chiaei probably felt the same, deeply curious about the food inside.
Mrs. Hanamaru laughed and said: "Ah Sakura, you and Hanabi-chan should take them to buy some food. Breakfast was just some bread, it won’t hold them."
Mrs. Uesugi, holding her young daughter, also smiled and said: "Buy more, let them eat more."
It seemed like the parents had no concept of junk food.
Just let the kids eat whatever they wanted.
As long as snacks didn’t spoil their appetite for meals. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝔀𝓮𝒃𝙣𝓸𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝒐𝒎
"Hot dogs! Sandwiches!" Little Aei saw the steaming food with lettuce in the display case, pulled Chiaei along, and ran over.
"Seems like children have no resistance to this kind of food."
Uesugi Sakura said, and then turned to ask Hanamaru Hanabi beside him: "Hanabi, do you want something? I’ll get you the largest one."
"Sakura-kun... looking to please Hanabi?" Hanamaru Hanabi’s lips curled into a smile.
"Hmm, that’s part of it."
"Alright, Hanabi wants one. But let me be clear: Hanabi won’t be swayed by a simple hotdog sandwich."
