Chapter 2818: Dreamstar

Zu An was startled. He was about to explain himself out of sheer instinct when it occurred to him that the woman before him wasn’t Tingxue, but rather Firework.

“Stop messing around- wu...”

His lips were sealed before he could finish his sentence. Tingxue wrapped her arms around him as she asked, “Do you hate me that much?”

“Tingxue isn’t like that.” Zu An sighed.

Firework had impeccably captured Tingxue’s tone and expression, but the latter would never initiate intimacy with him on her own accord.

“It looks like you’re into icy beauties.” Tingxue’s voice turned cold and distant.

Zu An felt goosebumps. He had to admit that he was moved, but this was simply too weird. While he was hesitating, the window suddenly shattered, and a cold gleam flashed through the air.

Zu An was initially startled. When he saw it was Tingxue, he breathed a sigh of relief, but moments later, he began worrying yet again.

The ‘Tingxue’ on the bed laughed as she casually knocked away the incoming sword. “Why are you so angry? In the trial world, the two of you spent decades as a couple.”

“You are forbidden from taking on my appearance!” Tingxue had thought that when she regained her identity as a Nebula envoy, she would also regain her previous voidlike state of mind, thus freeing her from being disturbed by emotions.

She had come to speak with Zu An, only to see Firework flirting with Zu An in her form. How could she tolerate that? She immediately blew up.

The two of them fought ferociously in the cabin. Zu An trembled fearfully under his blanket.

How embarrassing! It was just a little kink play with Firework, but we got caught red-handed by the person in question.

Isabella and the others rushed to the scene and were shocked to see two Tingxues.

Firework started the fight smiling gleefully, but anger began to build up in her when Tingxue unleashed killing blow after killing blow. The shockwaves from their clash were so great that the other experts on the ship were forced to retreat.

Even the ship couldn’t withstand their fight and was sliced in half by sword ki.

Isabella and the other guests were speechless.

The guests flew into the sky as they watched the two women fight from the ocean to the sky. Even the world seemed to shudder before their might. What terrifying women they are. Anyone who marries them in the future will be in for a world of suffering.

“Big brother Zu, why are they fighting?” Isabella looked at Zu An with wide eyes. It feels like there’s some tea in here.

Zu An clutched the blanket tightly around his body. His legs were feeling chilly from the sea breeze. “It might have been because Firework impersonated Tingxue.”

Isabella was pure, but she wasn't naive. She could deduce what had happened from Zu An’s unkempt state. Big brother Zu and big sister Firework sure are wild.

All of a sudden, her face reddened. When doing it with big brother Zu, did big sister Firework turn into me as well...

Moments later, Firework backed out from the battle and said, “Enough, enough. There’s no point continuing this fight. I have no interest in putting on a show for these people.”

Tingxue sheathed her sword as well, knowing that Firework was stronger than her. It would be difficult for her to defeat Firework.

Isabella took this chance to step in and mediate between them. At the same time, she reached into her bag and tossed another tiny ship model out. She looked at the two women worriedly, as if pleading with them to not destroy this ship too.

Tingxue coldly turned around and returned to her room.

Zu An had planned to ask her if she had something to talk about with him, but he knew better than to approach her while she was still angry.

Alfred calmed the crowd down, and the guests returned to their rooms. Firework also took Zu An back into their room.

Isabella thought of telling the two not to use her appearance, but saying something like that proved to be too challenging for a maiden like her. She was also worried that the mischievous Firework would feel more inclined to use her appearance if she asked her not to do it.

In the end, she dragged her feet back to her room with a worried heart. Even as she lay on the bed, she couldn’t help but wonder what was happening between Zu An and Firework...

“AHHHH! It’s so embarrassing!” Isabella buried her head under her blanket while her legs kicked vigorously in mid-air.

...

The following morning, Zu An made his way to Tingxue’s room to ask her about the reason behind her visit yesterday. To his astonishment, she was nowhere to be found, but there was a note left on the table.

Zu An stared at the note—’I’m leaving’—with a sense of loss.

“Do you miss her that much? Should I conjure her for you?” Firework leaned against the window with an unreadable smile. In the blink of an eye, she had already transformed into a white-robed woman.

Zu An hurriedly stopped her. The thought of what happened yesterday made his face redden. No wonder Tingxue wants to leave. Playing like that is a bit too much.

“It’s not just Tingxue. I’m leaving too.”

“Ah?”

“I have some business to resolve.” Firework reined in her smile, giving rise to a solemn mood.

“Are you seeking vengeance?” Zu An was worried. “I can help you.”

“Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing. I won’t act recklessly.” Firework looked at Zu An as her expression softened. “I already know your world’s coordinates. I’ll look for you afterward.”

She leaned in and kissed him. By the time he snapped out of it, she was nowhere to be seen.

...

Days later, the ship returned to Dreamland’s hotel.

The people of Dreamland were already waiting to welcome Zu An. They were aware of how they'd been saved. No wonder Firework had to leave ahead of time. It would be uncomfortable for both sides if they met under such circumstances.

After the banquet, Zu An paid a visit to the real master of Dreamland to ask if their renowned foretelling ability could help him achieve the agenda of his trip.

Dreamland’s master replied apologetically, “Our prophecies consume karma. We have been under the control of that woman for so many years that we have expended all our karma. I’m afraid we won’t be able to accrue enough karma to fulfill your wish any time soon.”

Despite having expected as much, Zu An still couldn’t help but be disappointed.

Feeling apologetic, Dreamland’s master took out a rainbow jewel and gave it to Zu An. “Benefactor, you have saved all our lives. I don’t know how else I can repay you. This is the Dreamstar, a sacred treasure that has been passed down within Dreamland. It can be activated once per day to increase your luck. It might help you fulfill your wish faster.”

Zu An was astonished to hear about the Dreamstar’s effect.

Be it from his previous life’s games or everything that had happened after he had transmigrated to this world, he was well aware of how rare the ‘Luck’ stat was. To think that this treasure could raise a person’s luck! It was an invaluable item even if it could only be used once per day.

Knowing that the Dreamstar would be useful to him, he thanked Dreamland’s master and accepted the gift.

While he was returning to his room, he bumped into an excited Isabella, who said, “Big brother Zu, my father wishes to meet you.”

She grabbed his hand and dragged him to her room.

Zu An was speechless.
