Yani tried to fight back, but Zu An was no pushover, either.

Yani suddenly got up and grinned at him. Before Zu An could admire her beauty, her hair suddenly grew thicker and curlier. Her fiery red lips also became more seductive. “I’m here to thank our great hero for rescuing Dreamland. You are our great benefactor. Name anything you want from our Dreamland, and it shall belong to you,” Diodora declared.

Zu An had to admit that Firework was a succubus. Her acting skills were ridiculous—no, this transcended acting. It felt as if the real Diodora was really standing before him. This stoked his interest. “Your guard captain, Yani, came over to relay her gratitude to me earlier.”

“Great hero, what do you think of Yani?”

“She’s fine. It’s just a bit tiring to subjugate her because she keeps trying to one up me.”

“Yani has always been a bit rough. Don’t you worry, great hero. Just give me the word, and I’ll alleviate your exhaustion.” Diodora’s hair gently tickled Zu An’s chest.

Zu An’s lust was stoked. “Since you’re here to thank me, shouldn’t you be the one making the moves?”

“You’re right, great hero. I should be the one to make a move.” Diodora smiled seductively as she lowered herself.

Meanwhile, Isabella was in her room telling her loyal butler everything that had happened in the meantime.

Alfred was shocked. “To think our big miss has acquired a portion of Death’s authority. Even our patriarch would be shocked by your fortuitous encounter!”

Isabella excitedly replied, “It’s all thanks to big brother Zu. That trial was a deathtrap. We would have all died if not for him.”

Alfred looked at Isabella dotingly. “Big miss, are you thinking of bringing young master Zu in as the Acadias’ son-in-law?”

“Uncle Alfred, you’re making fun of me!” Isabella shyly stomped her feet.

Alfred chuckled a little more before his expression turned grim. “Young master Zu is indeed an outstanding man, but his strength and background are still lacking. I’m afraid the Conglomerate will not accept him as the Acadias’ son-in-law. There are simply too many outstanding candidates.”

Isabella’s expression turned cold. “Not only does big brother Zu possess half of Death’s authority and a Wonderpoint World, but he also has exceptional wits and a sincere heart. That should easily put him above the other candidates.”

Alfred replied bitterly, “Big miss, there’s no point telling me that. The ones calling the shots are those above. Our patriarch and the others are in a difficult position as well. The other candidates are from distinguished backgrounds. The Conglomerate needs to show them some respect.”

“They can marry those candidates if they want to. As for me...” Isabella’s face reddened, and she cut her words short. “Forget it, I’ll go chat with big brother Zu.”

Isabella was about to head out when Alfred stopped her. “Big miss, there are other guests onboard. It’s already nightfall. Rumors might spread if you enter a young man’s room at this time.”

“Big brother Zu saved them! How dare they gossip about him?”

“Not everyone knows to show gratitude. Besides, Dreamland’s guard captain Yani went to look for young master Zu earlier and is still in his room. It might be awkward if you were to head there right now,” Alfred kindly reminded her.

“Yani?” Isabella frowned.

Some time later, Diodora leaned into Zu An’s ear and whispered, “Do you want to try something more exciting?”
