It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 61: Blood red water part two

A week later, The banquet day.

The preparations for the banquet were almost done, Alice and Patel, Watched as the servants and the maid’s moved around the mansion preparing for the evening.

"Patel, Come on, Can’t you change your mind." Alice said, pouting her lips as she looked at her.

Patel laughed and shook her head hopelessly.

"Maybe another time, But this time." Patel replied signaling.

"Are you sure that I can’t change your mind?" Alice still has a hope of changing her mind.

"No." Patel replied, shaking her head."You should go and prepare yourself, You are going to be late." She added pointing at the time.

"Alright, I’m going now, Text me if you changed your mind." Alice said before she left.

Patel stayed standing there for a while before she left walking back towards her room, But she stopped by one of the huge windows in the corridor staring at the view, Autumn is almost over and the winter is coming, She hated winters, It always reminded her of the days that she spent locked in a dark room that her father ordered the guards to put her in because she helped some innocent people lives.

She sighed and was about to walk towards her room when she heard Noah’s voice calling her.

"Patel." Noah called her and she turned to look at him.

"I was looking for you, How are you?" He asked as he came to stand in front of her.

Patel smiled and nodded her head.

"What about you?" She asked for a sign and saw him smile.

Noah felt good when she asked about him, It was strange but also good.

"I’m fine." She replied."Are you going to attend the banquet?" He Inquired.

"No, I don’t want to." She replied.

Noah noticed was sad and he wondered what happened. Did Ethan do something to her again? He wondered.

"It’s alright, We can go to any place you want instead of locking yourself in your room." Noah offered.

He would feel very bad if he enjoyed the party while she locked herself in her room.

"No, Aunty Lana needs to be there, I will be fine, don’t worry, I have a lot of homework and my exams are in three days from now." Patel replied, signaling to assure him.

Noah pressed his lips together and stared at her, He had a complex look on his face.

"I will come and check on you, Okay, I will be here all the time." Noah said cupping her face and kissed her forehead.

After Noah left, Patel went back to her room and started to study, her evaluation exams are after three days from now and she wants to pass them, It’s the first time she decides to do something for herself, She has a dream now that she can follow, It felt good and it made feel alive.

Picking up the pen, Patel continued to finish her homework. After two hours, She finished doing her homework. Closing her books, She stretched her body after a long time of sitting unmoving.

Downstairs at the banquet, The guests had already started to arrive and most of the family were present, Ethan who was the head of the family hadn’t shown up yet and most of the guests were waiting for him, especially the mother’s, As most of them had the hope of getting their daughter married to him, It is there at most wish.

"Look at Anderson’s daughter, Oh god, She is the ugliest thing I’ve ever seen. She looks like a zombie with this ugly makeup." Alison whispered to her brother Issac, staring at the girl who was looking left and right searching for Ethan who still hadn’t shown up.

"I know, Right, I hope she doesn’t throw herself on Ethan, Because he will say things to her that will make her and maybe it will cause a war with the Anderson family." Issac replied to his sister with worried expressions on his face as stared at the ugly girl.

Thinking about it for a while, Alice found that her brother was right.

"I hope not." She replied looking at the rest of the guests.

Upstairs, Inside Patel room.

Patel lied down inside the bathtub with her eyes closed. She thought about taking a nice warm bath and ended the night early.

She wanted to clear her mind and not think about anything, But she couldn’t. Her thoughts went back to her visit to the bank the other day. Her mother had prepared everything and that made her wonder if she knew about her father’s plan all along.

Patel sighed and She immersed her body under the water and held her breath for a few seconds before she lifted herself to the surface, She stood up and reached for the towel, Patel was about to pick up the towel when she lost her footing and slipped causing her to fall and hit her head hard against the bathtub rim.

Whimpering in pain, Patel opened her eyes and saw that water in the bathtub started to become red, Touching the side of her head she flinched in pain, Patel panicked when she looked at her hand and saw that it was covered in blood, She tried to stand up again but she couldn’t, She felt strong dizziness and the last thing she remembers is her body sinking in the bathtub.

Downstairs, Inside the kitchen.

"Is Patel dinner ready? Lana asked the maid.

"Yes, My lady, I was about to take it to her room." The maid replied, holding the tray in her hand.

"Good, You can go now." Lana said.

The maid made her way upstairs towards Patel’s room. When she reached there, She knocked on the door and waited for the young lady to open it, But there was no response, So the maid knocked again and again. There was no surprise. She tried to open the door but it was locked.

She suddenly became worried, She made her way towards the stairs to go back to the kitchen and inform the butler.
