It All Started With Hatred-Chapter 60: Blood red water part one
"Are you nervous?" Noah asked her when they arrived at the music school.
Nodding her head, Patel felt Noah’s hand on hers, squeezing it gently and it made her feel better. Having never gone to school, Patel felt scared like a little kid on his first day of school.
"Come let’s go." Noah said as he tugged her hand urging her to walk forward.
Once Patel stepped inside the school, She was astonished by the beautiful design of the school building. It was mesmerizing.
"It looks good, I have heard about this school before, It’s one of the top music schools in Verona Italy, I think you will have a good time here." Noah remarked as he turned to look at her.
Patel nodded her head as she continued to look at her surroundings.
"We should go and meet the headmaster of the school." Noah said and the both of them walked towards the headmaster’s office.
Knocking on the door, They waited for a while before they entered the office.
"Good morning, We are here to meet the headmaster, We called yesterday, About the student Patel Santos." Noah said.
"Yes, I remember, Please come in." The headmaster said welcoming them.
"You are early, You seem to be a good student already." The headmaster spoke, trying to lighten up the mood seeing how nervous she was.
Patel smiled at the headmaster’s words.
"So you want to join this school, What kind of instruments are you interested in?" The headmaster asked.
"Violin." Patel replied signaling.
And the headmaster nodded his head. Having many students with hearing and speaking problems, He as headmaster needed to learn the ASL language, So he understood what she said.
"Violin, That’s interesting." The headmaster said."Alright then, You can start next week. The teachers will evaluate your performance after ten days to see if there is any progress or not. I wish you luck, Miss Santos." The headmaster said, offering her a warm smile.
After finishing with the school enrollment, Patel received a message from Lana asking her to come back to the mansion because she needed to talk with her. Noah dropped her back and went to his work.
Entering the mansion, Patel made her way upstairs towards Lana’s room.
"I was waiting for you, Come and sit beside me." Lana said, patting the space beside her.
Patel made her way towards her and sat beside her.
"You said you wanted to talk, Did something happen?" Patel asked.
"Yes, Alice told me that you don’t want to attend the banquet, Why is that?" Lana asked her to reach her hand to comb her fingers through her black soft hair.
Hearing this, Patel sighed.
"What are you going to tell everyone when they ask about my identity?" Patel asked her back and surprisingly Lana smiled.
"Patel my dear, I may appear to be a well-behaved lady to you, But I’m far from that. Back to your question, They can ask and their questions will be unanswered." Lana said, flashing her a smile."Enough with thinking about what people might think and say, Let’s focus on buying your a gown, You need to appear in your best look." Lana added and picked up her iPad and started to show Patel some gowns designs.
Patel glanced at the first gown and then back at Lana with a hesitant look in her eyes.
"Come on, Patel, Pick anyone you like, It’s my gift to you." Lana spoke with a warm tone coaxing her.
"I’m sorry, But I can’t, I’m not ready to face people." Patel said, signaling to try her best to not cry.
Putting the iPad down, Lana cupped her face. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"I’m sorry for pushing you too hard, I just wanted to enjoy your time, But I understand." Lana said as she tugged a strand of her hair behind her ear."But in case you change your mind, I will pick it up for you as a gift." She added.
Lana felt sad seeing that look in her eyes. What Ethan did made the poor girl unconfident about herself. This was only the beginning of her pain. Once she finds out the truth about her mother’s death, The revenge circle will only grow bigger.
"Always walk with your head high, Patel, Because you have nothing to do with anything your father did, Okay." Lana spoke, staring into her eyes.
Patel smiled hearing these words, It somehow made her feel better about herself, Warping her arms around Lana, She hugged her tightly and Lana did the same too.
...
After dinner, Everyone went to sleep except for Lana. That night she couldn’t fall asleep. She was worried about the future, About her son, Ethan, About her family’s safety.
Looking up at the dark sky, Lana sighed.
"You left a heavy responsibility for me, I wish that you were here, You would have solved everything wisely and without complicating things." Lana muttered under her breath to her late husband.
Looking at the guest house, She saw that the lights were still on, She walked towards the house. It’s been some time she talked with her son, Ethan.
"Good evening, My lady." The maid greeted Lana."Mr. Ethan is in the study room." They informed her.
"You can go to sleep now." Lana dismissed the maid and made her way towards the study room.
Lana pushed the door open and entered the study room and found Ethan standing in front of the open window. Like him, He seems to not be able to sleep tonight.
Turning around, Ethan was surprised to see his mother awake at this hour.
Lana made her way towards the couch and took a seat on it.
"Come here." His mother ordered him as if he was a little child and he did.
Making his way towards the couch, Ethan laid down placing his head on her lap.
"You look tired and burdened." Lana spoke as she started to run her fingers through her son’s hair and watched as he closed his eyes.
No matter how old he was, A touch from his mother’s warm hands can make all the exhaustion go away as if it’s nothing.
