Invincible Snake Emperor-Chapter 151 - 149: Preparing to Slay Kin for Justice
Jiang Xingze's thinking was extreme. He had completely forgotten that without Dr. Snake, Chen Mo, he would have long since been queuing in Hell, waiting to be reincarnated.
Run?
At that moment, the Vampire Snake went berserk, as if it had lost all reason. A sense of crisis enveloped Jiang Xingze's entire body.
Even though he had become something neither human nor ghost, he was still afraid of death. He scrambled to his feet and ran for the iron door. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"ROAR..."
The Vampire Snake roared at the sky. Suddenly, it transformed into a fiery shadow, blocking Jiang Xingze's path.
Its massive, twenty-meter body was as imposing as an insurmountable mountain.
The sickening stench of blood billowed from the Vampire Snake's cavernous maw. Its giant Snake Head swayed above Jiang Xingze, looking as if it might swallow him whole at any moment.
Jiang Xingze was truly afraid now. 'This isn't just a sense of crisis anymore,' he thought, 'it's the suffocating presence of death.'
"If you don't want to accept me as your master, then fine! But you can't kill me! If you kill me, not only will you not be free, but you'll never have the chance to eat human flesh again!"
His repulsive face was filled with terror, making it even more hideous.
"ROAR..."
The Vampire Snake roared at the sky again, its mouth suddenly lunging down. Terrified, Jiang Xingze squeezed his eyes shut. If the Vampire Snake wanted to kill him, all he could do was wait for death.
This special cage was dim and damp, as oppressive as Hell itself. Many people had already died here, leaving not even a single bone behind.
It was a fate even more wretched than death without a complete corpse.
The Vampire Snake's roars echoed endlessly in his ears. Its fiery red scales shimmered with a cold, spectral light.
And yet... after a long moment, he was still unharmed. Still alive. The sound in his ears was no longer the frenzied roaring of the Vampire Snake, but a hoarse, sinister voice. "Master..."
Huh?
Jiang Xingze's eyes snapped open. The massive, twenty-meter Vampire Snake was prostrated before him, its giant Snake Head resting at his feet.
'It's accepted me as its master? Or did the Snake Spirit finally work?'
Jiang Xingze was so stunned he forgot to even feel excited. He stared at the Vampire Snake and said nervously, "Say that again."
"Master."
The Vampire Snake opened its bloody maw and spoke human words. Its bell-sized Snake Gaze radiated a strange light.
"Haha... The heavens themselves are helping me!"
Jiang Xingze's unbridled laughter instantly filled the dim cage—a wild, insufferably arrogant laugh.
With the Vampire Snake as his pet, what couldn't he do?
What revenge could he not take?
After his fit of laughter, Jiang Xingze seemed to transform back into that insufferably arrogant man who acted as if no one else existed. He boldly climbed right onto the Vampire Snake's back.
"Rise!"
He wanted to see if the Vampire Snake had truly submitted to him and accepted him as its master.
The Vampire Snake moved, lifting Jiang Xingze more than ten meters into the air, allowing him to ride on its back.
Jiang Xingze was ecstatic. If the Vampire Snake hadn't genuinely accepted him as its master, its ferocity and pride would have never allowed him to ride it.
'Success! This peerless Snake Species is finally mine!'
Just then, three fully-armed security guards burst in through the iron door. Seeing Jiang Xingze riding on the back of the massive, twenty-meter Vampire Snake, their jaws dropped. They froze on the spot, and one of them swallowed hard a few times.
"Young Master Jiang, what are you doing? Dr. Snake gave orders that you're not allowed in here anymore! Where's the gate guard, Chen Chao?"
This cage was protected by a gate guard; no one was allowed to enter.
This Vampire Snake was incredibly ferocious; what outsider would dare enter? Dr. Snake's orders had been aimed squarely at his apprentice.
"My master never told me I wasn't allowed in," Jiang Xingze said with a sinister smile. Then he looked at the three guards and continued, "And if you're looking for that gate guard, I'm afraid you won't find him."
The guards were shocked. "Young Master Jiang, what do you mean?"
"Because the gate guard, Chen Chao, is already in the Vampire Snake's stomach. If you want to find him, the only way is to go look inside its stomach."
Hearing this, the three guards looked at each other in dismay. They exchanged a glance, sensing that something was terribly wrong.
"ROAR..."
The Vampire Snake roared at the sky before letting out a Spiritual and Fierce hiss at the three guards. Its bell-sized Snake Gaze was full of bloodlust and greed.
Being stared at by the Vampire Snake, the three guards shivered and stiffened from head to toe.
"This is bad! Let's go!"
The three guards were no fools. They turned around and prepared to leave the cage.
Jiang Xingze leaped down from the Vampire Snake's back and said with perverse cruelty, "Since you're here, don't even think about leaving. Weren't you looking for Chen Chao? Why don't you go find him slowly inside the Vampire Snake's belly?"
Before his voice had even faded, the Vampire Snake became a fiery shadow, suddenly coiling around the three guards and trapping them.
"Young Master Jiang, are you insane?! You're going to feed us to the Vampire Snake! If Dr. Snake finds out, he won't spare you!"
Now that he had the Vampire Snake, Jiang Xingze feared nothing. He let out a sinister cackle. "If you want to blame someone, blame your own bad luck for barging in at a time like this."
"Young Master Jiang, spare us! We can pretend we never saw anything!"
There were many ways to die, but being eaten as food by a Giant Snake was just too horrible a death.
The very thought of it was enough to make their souls feel like they were leaving their bodies.
Jiang Xingze gave a cruel smile, acting as if he hadn't heard a thing. He spoke gently to the Vampire Snake, "My precious, enjoy your fine meal. After you're done, we're leaving this place."
AH... AHH... AHH...
Suddenly, endless screams and wails echoed through the cage. A twenty-meter Giant Snake eating people—the scene was beyond cruel.
In the dim cage and damp environment, the stench of blood grew thicker and more intense.
"You beast! How dare you eat people!"
A roar filled with fury reverberated through the cage.
Jiang Xingze's expression changed instantly. Dr. Snake, Chen Mo, was standing at the iron door. Like an enraged lion, his eyes were wide, his eyebrows stood on end, and blue veins bulged on his face as he stared furiously at him.
"Master, you're too late. The Vampire Snake just swallowed the three guards."
Seeing Chen Mo, Jiang Xingze felt a brief flicker of panic, but it quickly vanished, replaced by a breezy confidence. 'What do I have to be afraid of now?'
"Ze'Er, what are you doing?! You actually let the Vampire Snake eat people! Have your humanity and conscience been eaten by dogs? How could I have taught such a monstrous disciple?! If I had known it would come to this, I never should have snatched you back from the hands of Yama!"
Chen Mo's voice rose from a low tone to a full-throated roar. His face flushed red, then turned ashen, and the veins on his neck bulged as if they were about to explode.
How could he not be furious? Even though he'd had his suspicions before, he never imagined his own apprentice could be so lawless, openly letting the Vampire Snake devour people with such appalling cruelty.
He had poured his heart and soul into creating this peerless Snake Species to contribute to humanity, not to make a killing machine.
Snakes are cold-blooded and merciless, Chen Mo understood that. But what truly broke his heart was that his own apprentice had quietly transformed into a Demon.
He let the Vampire Snake eat people while he just stood by and watched. How could he be so devoid of humanity?
'He's an animal. Worse than a beast, even worse than the Vampire Snake.'
'It seems I have no choice but to uphold justice, even if it means destroying my own kin.'
