Interstellar Number One Farmer: I Only Want To Farm!-Chapter 288 - 93: Raid (Part 2)
The tabby cat surrendered, it had to, it couldn’t win.
The animal kingdom always speaks through force.
As for Su Xiaocai, she truly relied on the cat’s power. Everyone witnessed her smug brazenness.
She easily picked up the tabby cat, the skinny little thing was crying with tears and snot everywhere, "Are you deeply moved?"
It didn’t dare move.
The tabby cat looked at Huahua, afraid it would get beaten up again.
Su Xiaocai successfully got a free female cat.
Confirmed the gender was correct, she placed the tabby cat into a cage at the seller’s place.
Su Xiaocai looked at the price tag, really expensive, "Brother Ji, give me a cage, you never gave me a birthday gift, I even gave you bamboo shoots and a painting."
Ji Li: "??!"
"You have so many bamboo shoots, and you still charged me. Now you want to take money out of my pocket again." Ji Li said this, but he didn’t hesitate in his actions to pay. Seeing her pained expression instantly turn happy, he angrily laughed at her cunning.
Su Xiaocai was full of joy, "Don’t worry, brother, the next batch of fresh bamboo shoots, I won’t charge you, you make a good deal."
Ji Li: Indeed, he made a deal.
She profited, because the next next batch, she’d charge again.
Throwing the tabby cat into the cage, Su Xiaocai happily went to the next stall.
After Huahua had a fight, it seemed to awaken its wild instincts, wanting to go kick every cat it saw.
Su Xiaocai pressed it down, making it understand who the boss was, letting it go forward only when she said so, if not, it behaved obediently.
Huahua, having grown up in the wild, also knew the difference between a full meal and a meager one, and soon lay down obediently, reverting to its vigilant nature.
Afterwards, Su Xiaocai bought another kitten that was all black and one with white and greenish fur, they were already weaned, reasonably priced, not of any rare breed.
All three cats were put in the cage, possibly because the kittens were just weaned, the tabby cat showed no aggression, watching the two little kittens play with great tolerance.
Having bought everything, Su Xiaocai was content.
Suddenly hearing a burst of hysterical sobs, she looked over, seeing a woman who previously disliked Huahua crying loudly with her cat in her arms. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
Pointing at someone, she said he stepped on her cat, killing it.
The man had a partly amputated arm, a tray for selling goods hanging from his neck, and a three-year-old girl by his side.
The little girl looked confusedly at the woman on the ground, asking the man why she was crying.
"It’s okay, her little friend died, so she’s sad. Grandpa will handle it, don’t worry." The man with the amputated arm looked around helplessly, hoping for a security guard to appear.
His pant leg was being pulled, and to maintain balance and protect the tray, he could only explain the situation repeatedly, hoping that the woman would become reasonable.
"Your cat died, and although it’s very unfortunate, I didn’t step on your cat, I’m sure of that."
"It was you who stepped on it. You have to compensate me. I bought my darling for a hundred thousand."
Su Xiaocai was curious, "Is that cat worth a hundred thousand?" She considered herself broad-minded when it came to aesthetics, having seen so many Insect Man, she found other species attractive.
But that fragile cat, with its sparse fur and slightly distorted face, Su Xiaocai couldn’t equate it with a hundred thousand.
"That breed of cat is hyped up, actually it’s not worth much, it has many defects. In time, it’s likely to be extinct in the cat world." Its genes were inherently poor and prone to collapse, destined for short life.
"Miss, I really didn’t step on it."
"How can a cripple feel anything? Even if Cuicui wasn’t stepped on, you scared it to death."
The man hid his granddaughter behind him, "Enough, you can’t frame me. Even if I’m disabled, I have my dignity. If you think it’s my fault, call the police, check the surveillance, if I did it, I’ll own up to it, if not, you owe me an apology."
Since the woman was crying so pitifully, sympathy was on her side, and some advised the man to just pay to avoid escalation.
But some stood by the man, "He’s just a vendor, where would he get a hundred thousand? Maybe you two are in this together."
Su Xiaocai handed the cage and Huahua to Ji Li, who pulled her aside, "You want to help that grandfather and granddaughter? They may not even thank you, plus they’re both sticking to their own stories, it’s too one-sided."
"You think I don’t know that? Don’t worry, I’m going to find evidence. Look, this is a traffic thoroughfare, connecting multiple exhibition halls, if it’s not resolved quickly, it’ll get congested."
Consider her being kind for once, looking at the man and his granddaughter, she saw the hardship once faced by Daddy Su when he brought her around.
The woman, with tears and snot all over her face, tightly hugged that cat, Su Xiaocai squatted down, put on her gloves, squeezed the woman’s hand, and the woman’s arm numbed, letting out a yelp, she released her grip.
