Infinite Evolution: My Idle Evolution System-Chapter 300: Over 10 Billion Class Points!
"Now," Cassius continued as his expression frosted over, Lilith and Mora's copies flaring ludicrous amounts of energy by his sides, "let's get this over with already. You've been chasing me for nearly a week, so I assume you're just as ready to conclude this farce as I am. That is unless you wish to destroy more of the Cloud Worlds that you protect?"
The Harpy Deity stared, unblinking. It then spoke a few cryptic words in an indecipherable language before brandishing its 5-foot-long high-ranking sapphire-colored spear.
The Harpy Deity thrust forward with its spear, crossing a distance of thousands of miles in an instant. The spear's tip made contact with Cassius's left arm, immediately reducing the arm to cinders. Yet, with his right arm, Cassius grabbed hold of the spear before the Harpy Deity could pull it back.
Leaning closer to the Harpy Deity, Cassius let his right hand bleed because of the sapphire spear.
"Do you know why we're different?" he whispered, his veins bulging and his hold on the spear tightening. "What differentiates us the most is neither our appearances nor the way we carry ourselves. No, what makes me so different from you… is that you've lived as a God-like being for far too long. None could compare to you, and because of that, you've become rusty. Not only that, your resistance to pain has lessened."
In the spot where Cassius's arm once was, a blue fire appeared. The fire quickly expanded from a tiny blue spark to a giant mass of raging flames.
"I, on the other hand, am used to pain," he said. "I'm used to everyone being stronger than I am. I'm used to fighting uphill battles."
"!!!"
The Harpy Deity—sensing a large amount of danger from that blue flame—gave up on trying to retrieve its spear. It attempted to retreat yet almost immediately realized that retreat was impossible.
Cassius's right hand—the one that had been holding on to the sapphire spear—forcefully pierced itself into the spear. His hand was then ripped open, followed by his arm. The sapphire spear now extended several feet behind his shoulder, having pierced all the way through.
Because of this crazy action of his, Cassius was able to grab onto the Harpy Deity with whatever bloody mess remained of his right hand. Now, the Harpy Deity was stuck in place. And although it hacked away at his hand without delay, it didn't have anywhere near enough time to destroy the hand.
"I'll show you right now—the difference that separates me and you by a chasm," Cassius said, with his left arm having been replaced by a massive fiery blue cannon 20 times his size. "If you can survive this, then you'll live on for the sole purpose of fighting me again. But if you can't…"
Feeling a sense of danger far greater than before, the Harpy Deity tried doing something similar to what Cassius did. It went to slice off a chunk of its body, but it held back at the last moment.
That was the Harpy Deity's one and only chance to turn things around in its favor. And it… failed.
Cassius's emotionless expression did not change as he unleashed a huge blast of fire from his arm cannon. However, within the dilated pupils of the Harpy Deity, it saw a wide, sadistic smirk that practically screamed, "What did I say? We are different. Bred different, lived different, built different."
"!!!!"
KA—BOOOOOM!!!
An enormous eruption of Azura Flames shot out of Cassius's arm cannon, with the initial fires engulfing everything in an instant. The Harpy Deity—being no exception—was swallowed by the flames, its eyes reflecting the horror coursing through it.
Zooming out, the Azura Flames grew larger and larger, with the cannon shot becoming more of a world destroyer. Hundreds of continent-sized Cloud Worlds were vaporized on the spot, with all of their essence automatically absorbed and refined by the flames.
If one panned the camera even further out, it looked like the mighty fire breath of an unbelievably powerful dragon was left to wreak havoc across the Cloud Dimension. Billions of lives were lost in a nanosecond, having died without getting out even the quietest of screams.
— After the residual energies of the Azura Flame Burst Cannon attack dispersed —
"Do you finally realize the difference between you and I?" Cassius asked, more than 70% of his body gone. "You weren't willing to do what needed to be done. I, however, did what…"
Before he could finish his words, his consciousness faded.
He died.
Yet, he was not the only one who had perished, as not even the Harpy Deity's ashes were left after being hit head-on by one of the Azura Flame's most powerful forms. What Cassius had been talking to was no more than particles blowing in the cinder-filled wind.
OOOM!
After a couple of milliseconds, Cassius's body reformed.
He had returned to the world of the living.
However, even after experiencing something that most other beings only experience one time in their lives, Cassius remained indifferent to the whole ordeal. He didn't even so much as flinch, with his attention upon rebirth being promptly directed toward the System Notifications flashing in front of him.
*Ding!*

The Idle Evolution System was more than enough to bring anybody to a mental hospital ward, and Cassius wasn't too far off…
With a sigh verging on collapse, he growled, "Just get on with it. I don't have all day."
[Why, of course you do! You have whatever amount of days is left from your original 100-year deadline! Plenty of time, I'd say! Probably…]
"...What was that last part for?" Cassius asked, his whole face twitching. "Why'd you say it like that?"
