Chapter 311: Arrangements

"Did you see the royal servants? They must be important."

Philia tried to ignore the attention. Beside her, Touki seemed oblivious to it all. He was too busy looking at everything with wide-eyed wonder.

They arrived at a large set of ornate doors. Vice Principal Meredith knocked twice.

"Enter," a deep voice called from within.

The doors opened. The office beyond was spacious and filled with bookshelves. A large desk dominated the center of the room. Behind it sat an elderly man with a long white beard and sharp, intelligent eyes.

"Principal John," Vice Principal Meredith said with a bow. "I present Philia and Touki, as requested by His Highness Prince Arthur."

Principal John stood. He was tall despite his age, and his presence filled the room. His gaze settled on the two siblings, studying them with an intensity that made Philia uncomfortable.

"Welcome to the Royal Academy," Principal John said. His voice was warm despite his intimidating appearance. "Please, sit."

He gestured to chairs in front of his desk. Philia and Touki sat down. The Vice Principal remained standing to the side.

"So," Principal John said as he returned to his seat. "You are the two that Prince Arthur has taken under his personal wing. That is quite an honor."

"We’re very grateful for His Highness’s kindness," Philia replied carefully.

"I’m sure you are," Principal John said. He picked up a document from his desk. "Prince Arthur’s message was quite specific. He wishes for both of you to be enrolled as my personal disciples. You will receive special training and resources beyond what normal students have access to."

He looked up from the document. "Do you understand what this means?"

"That His Highness has high expectations of us," Philia answered. "And that we need to work hard to meet them."

"Precisely," Principal John nodded with approval. "But it also means you will face scrutiny. Jealousy. Perhaps even hostility from other students who will wonder why you received such favor."

Touki spoke up for the first time. "We can handle it!"

Principal John’s eyes shifted to the young boy. A smile tugged at his lips. "Bold. I like that. Tell me, young man, what is your cultivation level?" 𝙛𝒓𝓮𝙚𝔀𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝒐𝒎

"I... don’t have one," Touki admitted. His enthusiasm dimmed slightly. "I can’t cultivate normally like other people."

"Yet you possess power," Principal Aldric observed. "Prince Arthur mentioned that you have a unique physique and a powerful martial spirit."

Touki perked up again. "Yeah! Want to see?"

Before anyone could respond, Touki stood up and activated his martial spirit.

*Boom!*

Energy exploded outward. The room trembled. A massive titan materialized behind Touki, towering and imposing. The halos around it glowed with brilliant light—unmistakably Heaven Grade.

Principal John’s eyes widened. He stood abruptly, his chair scraping against the floor. Vice Principal Meredith gasped audibly.

"A Peak Heaven Grade Martial Spirit," Principal John breathed. His voice carried shock and awe. "And at such a young age. Incredible."

He walked around his desk to get a closer look at the titan. His experienced eyes analyzed every detail.

"But this isn’t just the martial spirit," he murmured. "There’s something else. The boy’s body... it’s generating power independently of cultivation. A special physique?"

"We don’t fully understand it ourselves," Philia admitted. "Touki has always been different. He can use power that others need cultivation to access. But it’s unstable. Hard for him to control."

"That explains why Prince Arthur wants him trained here," Principal John said. He looked at Touki with new appreciation. "Young man, you are a rare treasure. A physique that generates power without cultivation, combined with a Peak Heaven Grade martial spirit. If properly nurtured..."

He didn’t finish the sentence, but the implication was clear. Touki had the potential to become something extraordinary.

Touki dismissed his martial spirit with a grin. "So I can stay? I can train here?"

"Absolutely," Principal John said. "In fact, I insist on it. Letting talent like yours go to waste would be a crime against the cultivation world itself."

He returned to his desk and began writing on a fresh document. "I’ll arrange for you to have access to our best training facilities. We have instructors who specialize in unique physiques and martial spirits. They’ll help you learn control and unlock your full potential."

Touki’s excitement was palpable. "Thank you, Principal! I’ll work really hard!"

Principal John smiled. Then his attention shifted to Philia. "And what about you, young lady? Prince Arthur’s note mentioned that you have extensive knowledge of alchemy, herbs, and poisons despite being unable to practice alchemy yourself."

Philia nodded. "That’s correct. I’ve studied extensively, but I lack the constitution to actually refine pills or concoct potions."

"Interesting," Principal John mused. "Theoretical knowledge without practical application. That’s rare. Most people don’t bother studying what they cannot use."

"Knowledge is valuable regardless," Philia replied. "Understanding how things work, even if I can’t do them myself, allows me to support those who can."

"A wise perspective," Principal John acknowledged. "Very well. We’ll enroll you in our advanced theory courses. Alchemy, formation arrays, spirit herbs, and related subjects. Who knows? Perhaps with the right resources and guidance, you might find a part of your own."

Philia’s heart skipped. "You think that’s possible?"

"Anything is possible with enough effort and the right approach," Principal John said. "The academy has access to resources that could potentially overcome your constitution’s limitations. We’ll explore those options."

He finished writing and stamped the documents with an official seal. "There. You’re both officially enrolled. You’ll be assigned quarters in the special disciples’ section. That’s where students under royal patronage reside."

Vice Principal Meredith stepped forward and collected the documents. "I’ll make the arrangements immediately."

Good," Principal John said. He stood and walked around his desk again, this time extending his hand to both siblings. "Welcome to the Royal Academy. I expect great things from both of you."

Philia shook his hand first, then Touki. The boy’s handshake was enthusiastic and energetic, making the Principal chuckle.
