Chapter 310: New Beginnings at the Royal Academy

Arthur sat alone in his study while thinking of the two things left for him to do before the secret realm opens.

’It’s actually more than three but I’ll leave the rest for Father to handle while i deal with this next task and after that focus on my cultivation.’

’Philia and Touki.’

’It is time to get them settled once and for all.’

"Cora," he called out.

"Yeah?" Cora replied in soft voice.

"I’m not calling you for that. I want to see the siblings."

"Hmph! Who told you I was thinking about ’that’?!" Her tone clearly sounded embarrassed.

"Sorry dear. I’ll make it up to you later okay?"

"I know, I know. Don’t make it seem like I am some unsatisfied mistress. I’ll bring the out now."

*Swoosh!*

The siblings appeared before him.

He had already told them about this so now he wants to take some preventive measures.

Even though he knows they are now connected to his fate. They are not strong enough to hold and protect the secrets they have come to learn about him.

So he has to deal with those memories.

Using the soul gem and his overwhelming soul power he easily death with it.

Next...

Was the easier part.

....

The royal carriage moved smoothly through the capital’s busy streets. Inside, Philia sat with her hands folded in her lap while Touki pressed his face against the window, his eyes wide with excitement.

"Big sis, look! That building is huge!" Touki exclaimed. He pointed at a towering structure they were passing.

"Touki, sit properly," Philia chided gently. But there was a small smile on her face. She couldn’t blame her brother for his enthusiasm. Everything here was new and overwhelming.

Across from them sat two royal servants. They were dressed in the formal attire of the Hartfield Empire. Their posture was perfect. Their expressions calm and professional.

The older of the two, a middle-aged man with kind eyes, spoke. "We should arrive at the Royal Academy shortly. His Highness Prince Arthur has made all the necessary arrangements for your enrollment."

Philia nodded. "Thank you for escorting us."

She still felt uncertain about all of this. It had happened so quickly. One moment they were struggling to survive in the wilderness, running from their pursuers. The next, they were under the protection of a prince and being enrolled in the most prestigious academy in the Southern Continent.

’Prince Arthur,’ she thought. Her mind drifted to the young man who had saved them. Who had seen value in them when others would have left them to die.

Something about that encounter felt... strange. Not bad, just incomplete. Like there were gaps in her memory that she couldn’t quite explain.

She remembered meeting him. Remembered his strength and his offer of protection. Remembered agreeing to serve him. But some of the finer details felt blurry.

’It must be the stress,’ Philia reasoned. ’Everything happened so fast. It’s natural that some things would be unclear.’

Beside her, Touki continued his excited commentary. "Do you think the academy has a training ground? I want to practice more! Big bro Arthur said I need proper training to control my power."

"Big bro Arthur?" Philia raised an eyebrow. "When did you start calling him that?"

Touki looked at her as if the answer was obvious. "He saved us. He’s strong. He’s going to help us get stronger. That makes him like an older brother, right?"

Philia couldn’t argue with that logic. Especially since Touki’s instincts about people were usually accurate. If he felt comfortable calling Arthur "big bro," then perhaps it was fine.

"Just remember to be respectful," Philia reminded him. "He’s a prince. There are proper ways to address royalty."

"I know, I know," Touki said dismissively. He turned back to the window. "Whoa! Big sis, is that the academy?!"

Philia leaned over to look. Her breath caught.

The Royal Academy was magnificent. It stood on elevated grounds, surrounded by protective walls that were inscribed with glowing formation arrays.

The main building was a massive structure of white stone and blue-tinted glass. Multiple towers rose into the sky, each topped with flags bearing the empire’s crest.

"Yes," the royal servant confirmed. "That is the Royal Academy. The finest institution of learning in the Southern Continent."

As their carriage approached the main gates, guards stepped forward. But when they saw the royal crest on the carriage, they immediately saluted and opened the gates without question.

The carriage rolled through and up a winding path. Gardens stretched on either side. Students could be seen walking between buildings or practicing techniques on training grounds.

Philia observed everything with sharp eyes. The students wore uniforms that denoted their rank and year. Most appeared to be from noble families based on their bearing and the quality of their accessories.

’We’re going to stand out,’ she thought with some concern. ’Two commoners with no family background. This could be difficult.’

The carriage came to a stop in front of the main administrative building. The servants stepped out first, then held the door open for Philia and Touki.

Touki jumped out eagerly. Philia followed more sedately, smoothing down her simple dress.

They were greeted by a stern-looking woman in official robes. "Welcome. I am Vice Principal Meredith. His Highness Prince Arthur informed us of your arrival."

The leaders and top elders of the Royal Academy has since changed hands ever since the end of the tournament.

You can say that the Royal Academy is now fully under Arthur’s control.

She looked at Philia and Touki with assessing eyes. Philia felt scrutinized but kept her expression neutral.

"Follow me," Vice Principal Meredith said. "The Principal himself wishes to meet you before we proceed with enrollment."

"The Principal?" Philia was surprised. "Is that... normal?"

"It is not," the Vice Principal replied as she led them into the building. "But when the Crown Prince personally requests special arrangements for students, we take notice."

They walked through elegant hallways. Students passing by stopped to stare at the group. Whispers followed in their wake.

"Who are they?"

"Why is the Vice Principal escorting them personally?"

"Did you see the royal servants? They must be important."
