Chapter 283: Return

After leaving the Pavilion, Arthur returned to the palace with Anastasia and Helia accompanying him.

The carriage brought them back through the capital streets as evening approached steadily. The sun was setting on the horizon painting the sky orange and purple.

When they arrived at the palace gates, guards bowed as they passed through. Arthur walked with them to the main palace area where their paths would separate for the evening.

Arthur said his goodbye to Anastasia at the entrance to her quarters. "Rest well tonight," he told her warmly. "These days before the secret realm opens will be busy with preparations."

"You too," Anastasia replied. She gave him a meaningful look with her eyes. "And be careful with whatever you’re planning. I know you’re up to something."

Arthur just smiled mysteriously and didn’t comment on her observation. Helia followed him as he headed toward his Prince manor through the palace gardens.

The walk took several minutes through carefully maintained gardens. When they reached his residence, Arthur stopped and turned to face her directly.

"Practice well tonight," he instructed her clearly. "Try to make progress with the cultivation technique I gave you. See if you can master the third level before the secret realm opens."

Helia’s face showed determination and resolve. "I will, Young Master. I won’t disappoint you." Then she hesitated briefly. "Actually, may I ask for some guidance? There are certain parts of the technique I’m struggling with."

"Of course," Arthur agreed readily. "Show me what you’re having trouble with."

Helia explained the specific points where she felt stuck in her cultivation. The energy flows weren’t working properly.

Arthur listened carefully and patiently and then provided detailed guidance. He corrected her understanding of the energy flow through her meridians.

Explained the proper mental state needed for breakthrough. Demonstrated the correct breathing pattern with his own cultivation. His explanations were clear and precise.

As Helia listened carefully, something clicked in her mind suddenly. Sudden enlightenment struck her like lightning.

Her eyes went wide with realization. "I understand now!" she said urgently. "Young Master, I need to consolidate this immediately before I lose the feeling!"

Arthur nodded approvingly at her reaction. "Go. Don’t waste this opportunity. Enlightenment is rare."

Helia rushed off toward her own cultivation chambers quickly. Enlightenment was rare and precious. She needed to act on it immediately before the moment passed.

Arthur watched her go with satisfaction. Then he turned and went to his own private quarters.

Once inside his chambers, he immediately activated privacy formations with gestures of his hands. Layers of energy barriers formed around the room in sequence.

Cora appeared from the Serene Palace Painting in a flash of pink light. She materialized in the room wearing a beautiful shapely dress.

Her curly pink hair fell past her shoulders in waves. Her pink eyes looked at Arthur with anticipation and excitement. "Are we going now?" she asked eagerly.

"I’m going," Arthur corrected gently but firmly. "You’ll stay hidden in the Palace Painting."

Cora’s face fell with disappointment. "What? Why can’t I come openly with you? I want to search for my sister."

"Because this requires discretion," Arthur explained patiently. "If you appear publicly now, it might complicate things unnecessarily. People will ask questions. Wonder where you came from. Wonder about your identity. I need to move quietly tonight without drawing attention."

"But..." Cora protested weakly.

Arthur raised his hand to stop her objection. "I promise you, Cora. I will definitely get information about your sister tonight. Trust me on this. When the time is right, you can appear openly. But not yet."

Cora looked disappointed but she nodded reluctantly after a moment. "Alright. I trust you, Arthur." She faded back into the Serene Palace Painting.

There relationship has improved over time, and she doesn’t have to call him Master all the time like before.

Arthur waved his hand and strengthened the privacy formations around his room. Energy barriers sealed the room completely now.

No one would be able to sense what happened inside. No sound would escape. Even divine sense couldn’t penetrate these multiple barriers.

He sat down cross-legged and began using his immense power along with special techniques from his past life.

He activated the "Thousand Faces Transformation" technique he’d mastered as the Mortal Emperor. His appearance started changing gradually.

His face shifted and reformed. His hair color altered from it’s original color to brown. His body structure transformed subtly. Even his aura became completely different. His energy signature changed into something unrecognizable.

Within minutes, Arthur looked like a completely different person. An unrecognizable powerful expert.

Someone no one would connect to Prince Arthur. He appeared to be a middle-aged man with rough features and stern eyes. His cultivation aura seemed like that of a reclusive expert.

Of course, he is just abusing his soul power to appear to be someone with greater Cultivation level than what he actually has.

Still, he does have the strength to back it up though.

He waited patiently until the dead of night arrived. The palace grew quiet and still. Most people had gone to sleep in their quarters. Guards patrolled on their regular routes with torches.

Arthur pulled out the Space Gem from his storage ring. The gem glowed softly in his palm with purple light.

He channeled energy into it and opened a spatial tear with a simple gesture. The fabric of space ripped open before him like tearing paper.

He stepped through the portal calmly. Space folded around him in impossible ways. He moved through the darkened capital using spatial techniques.

No guards detected his departure from the palace. No formations triggered alarms. He passed through the city like a ghost. Invisible and untraceable to anyone watching.

His destination was the Three Mysteries Pavilion once again. But this time he wasn’t going as Prince Arthur. 𝒻𝑟𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝑛𝘰𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝘤𝘰𝘮

He was going as someone completely different. Someone with questions that Prince Arthur couldn’t ask openly without raising suspicion and speculation.

The buildings passed by in a blur as he moved through space. Streets and structures flashed past. The upper district approached quickly.

The black building with red doors came into view through the spatial distortion. Arthur emerged from his spatial movement in a dark alley nearby.

He looked at the Pavilion from the shadows. Then he began walking toward it. His footsteps made absolutely no sound on the stone street.

---

Arthur arrived at the Three Mysteries Pavilion walking down the empty street confidently.

But this time his presence was completely different from his earlier visit that afternoon. He radiated an aura of immense power that spread outward in waves.

Far beyond what he normally showed as Prince Arthur. The energy rolling off him pressed down on the entire area like an invisible mountain weight.

Inside the Pavilion, alarms triggered immediately throughout the building. Formation arrays activated throughout all floors.

Security measures engaged automatically. The entire building went into full alert status. Red lights flashed. Warning bells rang silently through spiritual connections to all personnel.

The strongest person within the Three Mysteries Pavilion sensed the overwhelming presence outside their doors.

This was a hidden expert likely at the Martial Ancestor level at least. Someone who rarely showed themselves to anyone.

They stayed in deep seclusion most of the time in the basement. Their eyes snapped open wide with shock. This visitor’s power was extraordinary.

Possibly dangerous if offended. They couldn’t afford to be careless. Even though they have trump cards of there own, they are business men with no blood feud with anyone.

No need to waste precious resource in offending someone who has no I’ll intentions against them.

Rather they might even profit greatly from this encounter.

With this in mind, the hidden expert immediately rushed to greet the mysterious visitor personally.

They couldn’t afford to offend someone this powerful. Such a person could destroy the entire branch if angered.

They appeared at the entrance within seconds using movement techniques. The guards stood frozen in place at their posts. They were unable to move under the pressure of the powerful aura.
