Chapter 177: Chapter 177: Desert Monster Wave (END)

I look at the massive number of undead that appear not too far away from the city. I frown and take a deep breath.

"Let me take care of this situation. Let me kill the monster that summoned these undeads."

"What?! There are more than ten thousand undead around that thing! And you want to fight that thing alone?!"

Duke Itor shouts in surprise. I look at him and say.

"Don’t worry. I’m not alone. [Zodiac: Aries]! [Zodiac: Taurus]! [Zodiac: Gemini]! [Zodiac: Cancer]! [Zodiac: Leo]! [Zodiac: Libra]! [Zodiac: Virgo]! [Zodiac: Scorpio]! [Zodiac: Sagittarius]! [Zodiac: Capricorn]! [Zodiac: Aquarius]! [Zodiac: Pisces]! [Forbidden Spell - Zodiac: Ophiuchus]!"

The first creature that appears behind me is Ophiuchus, the massive blue flying snake. I gently caress Ophiuchus’ snout and hear her purring under my touch. I smile a little and continue.

"Come! [Guardian of Nature]!"

After saying that, four creatures appear above me. They attack the monster that is near the wall before flying toward me. I pat their head one by one and summon more.

"[Summon Guardian of Forest: Okami] [Summon Guardian of Forest: Fenrir]"

Two wolves appear next to me. I kneel in front of them and pat their heads. I laugh a little when they are licking my face. I stand up and look at Duke Itor.

"As you can see. I’m not fighting alone."

Duke Itor can only nod his head in amazement. I smile a little and look at the Mummy Lord in the distance. I turn to my summons and say.

"Can you guys take care of the monster around that undead for me?"

After I say that, they roar and quickly fly at the monster around the Mummy Lord. With my summoned creatures taking care of the monsters around that undead, I can focus on the boss monster.

"Let’s start this! [Meteor Shower]!"

|3rd POV|

The people around Gwyn look at the sight in front of them in surprise, awe, and fear. They can see a massive flaming rock appear from heaven and come toward the Mummy Lord. They can see the Mummy Lord raise its staff high, and suddenly, a massive pillar made of sand rises and hardens to hold the incoming rock.

The sand managed to slow it down, but it was not enough. The Mummy Lord roars, and suddenly, the rock starts to glow and gets slowed even more. After a few seconds of struggling, the rock stopped.

Gwyn, looking from the distance, smirks and says.

"Congratulations on stopping that thing. However, what about the second one?"

The people hearing that word widen their eyes as they look up at the sky, and as if the gods themselves are showing their might, the clouds part away, and a massive rock appears from the heavens.

The second rock hit the first one, and the Mummy Lord buckled at the might of the attack. Seeing no way out, the Mummy Lord decided to run away. The Mummy Lord slams its staff to the ground, and suddenly, the Mummy Lord gets teleported away.

"Good! You manage to run away from the second one! How about the third? Fourth? Fifth? Sixth? Seventh? Eighth? Ninth? Tenth?"

The more Gwyn speaks, the more the meteor comes from the sky and bombards the general direction of where the Mummy Lord is located. The entire sand desert now turns into a rocky desert as the meteor covers a good portion of the sand desert.

The Mummy Lord tries to teleport around, but sadly, it is not fast enough to escape the onslaught of attack from Gwyndolin.

The people around Gwyndolin look at the man near them and thank the god that he is on their side. They imagine Gwyndolin as their enemy, and they shudder at the thought. He alone can destroy a city if he wants to, and they know that they cannot fight him head-on.

"And he is a Grandmaster of Medicine?!"

Duke Itor said loudly. He turns to his old friend, Benham, and says.

"He is the Grandmaster of Medicine, right?!"

Benham slowly nods his head and says.

"Yes. He is the Grandmaster of Medicine."

"Do you know if a Grandmaster of Magic exists in the Gipan Kingdom?"

Benham thinks for a few seconds before nodding his head.

"Yes. I think the Gipan Kingdom has a Grandmaster of Magic."

Benham turns to the Lord of Ulian City and says,

"Am I right, Lord Sarhakan?"

The lord of Ulian City turns and says.

"Yes. They have the Grandmaster of Magic. I know three Grandmasters of the Gipan Kingdom, including the man in front of us. There is a Grandmaster of Magic and a Grandmaster of the Sea."

"Grandmaster of the Sea... That is why the Southern Sea is at peace, and many continents want to trade with them."

Duke Itor nods his head and turns to Gwyndolin, who is about to cast more spells.

"If this is the power of the Grandmaster of Medicine, what kind of power do those Grandmasters of Magic have?"

That word makes the people around him think about the scenario, and they shudder at once. Duke Itor turns toward Benham and Sarhakan and says in a low voice.

"I’m grateful for what he has done to us, but we need to ensure that we have a good relationship with our kingdom. I don’t want the Gipan Kingdom to hate us. Even without declaring war against us, I know that they can cause massive damage to our kingdom."

Lord Benham and Lord Sarhakan nod their heads. They know that having the Gipan Kingdom as their ally will benefit them greatly. Even when the Gipan Kingdom did not become their ally, as long as the two kingdoms had a great relationship, they benefited from this.

As the three lords were talking to each other, they did not notice a group of nameless soldiers get down the wall. They look at each other and nod before running toward the empty alley where they can converse in peace.

"We need to inform the emperor about this." One of the soldiers suddenly says, "We need to inform the emperor about this man."

The only woman in the group nods her head and says.

"You are right. We must inform the emperor and the council to ensure the plan to ensnare the Grandmaster quickly. That man alone can boost our empire’s strength, and if we can make him the citizen of the empire, we can now take over that magic kingdom."

The others nod their heads, and the oldest soldiers say.

"So, who will be the one reporting this back to the emperor? We need to return to the battlefield quickly, or the others will get suspicious."

They look at each other for a few seconds before the woman suddenly says.

"I will do it. I will use the emergency route to leave the city and report back to the emperor."

The others nod their heads and see the woman run to the city’s eastern side. With her gone, they quickly return to the wall to join the others. They arrive on the wall just in time to see the Mummy Lord regenerate back on top of the rock.

The Mummy Lord roars after he regenerates, and suddenly, an earthquake happens once again. The sand around the rock formation starts to fly out and gather around the Mummy Lord. The Mummy Lord turns into sand and joins the massive amount of sand in the air.

After a couple of minutes, the sand that gathers turns into being. The Mummy Lord now turns into a giant bipedal crocodile. He is wearing golden armor and holding a staff in his left hand and a khopesh, a sickle-shaped sword, in his right hand. There is also an ankh necklace around his neck.

The mummy lord roars loudly and shakes the world around it.

"What a troublesome opponent. This is why I hate necrotic-type enemies. They are the worst."

Gwyn says in a low voice as he looks at the incoming boss monster. He looks at his summoned creatures and says.

"Hold that monster for a few minutes! I need to prepare."

His summoned creatures quickly fly at the Sobek wannabe in the distance. They release an attack after attack to get the attention of the boss monster.

Duke Itor, who hears that word, looks at his army and shouts in a loud voice.

"Alright, people! The Grandmaster needs time to prepare to kill that thing! Make sure not a single monster disturbs him! Do you hear me?!"

The people shout and start killing the monster that gets closer to Gwyndolin. A group of people even stand around him to ensure no monster can come closer to Gwyndolin. Seeing the people around him, Gwyndolin smiles and chants.

He wants to use the highest burst damage spell [Astrologian] has. He did not like casting this spell because he needed to say the chant out loud. Each job has this kind of spell. The chanting spells. They are all DPS and can cause a huge chunk of damage.

"Witness the creation of the world! From nothingness, there will be light! From light, there will be life! From the void of the universe appears the first light of the universe! The ever-expanding light that creates life! Let the people witness the power of the first light! Come! [Big Bang]!"

Gwyn’s summoned creatures de-summon themselves when they hear Gwyn finish his chant.

The Sobek wannabe looks at its chest as a small light appears and starts to expand. The light quickly expands throughout the kingdom and kills any monster in its path. A few seconds later, the light dies down, and no monster is in sight.
