I Try To Enjoy My Life But This Woman Keep Calling Me Villain-Chapter 176: Desert Monster Wave (3)
I look at the mummy in the distance and feel a massive build-up of chaotic energy from it. Something does not add up with the situation here. I look at Jullian standing next to me and say.
"Jullian, take over for a second. I need to talk with Duke Itor."
I look at the other and say with a loud voice.
"Listen to Jullian for a second! I need to talk with Duke Itor! There is something that caught my attention!"
The other nods, and I quickly jump down the wall. When no one is looking, I open the portal to my pocket dimension and enter my guild base. I run toward the guild vault and search for the item I want.
After a few seconds, I pick up a scroll and nod. I rip it apart and see a creature appear in front of me. The creature has a black face without any eyes, nose, or even mouth. It is three meters tall with a humanoid body, but instead of looking like a human, it looks like a stick figure. This creature is called [Elder Doppelganger], a level one hundred and forty creature that can mimic any target’s appearance, skills, and stats, and according to their lore, they can even copy the target’s personality.
"Ah, summoner. What can I do for you?"
"Can you copy me and take over my position as a healer and leader of the army? We are fighting against the monster wave, but I need to use my other identity."
"Of course. May I?"
I nod and let the doppelganger touch my forehead. After a few seconds, it changed into me, complete with my current armor and weapon. This is the power of [Elder Doppelganger]. They can copy my character up to level one hundred and forty, which is its weakness.
It cannot fully copy a level two hundred characters like me.
"What is my command, summoner?"
"Take care of the army. Especially my unit."
"Of course."
I open the portal and let him leave the pocket dimension to fulfill my command. With him gone, I take out my Grandmaster of Medicine outfit, which is my regular level two hundred [Astrologian] outfit, and take out my Starglobe.
I open the portal and leave my pocket dimension.
I cast [Chameleon’s Skin] and let me bend the light to make me invisible. I fly high and cancel the [Chameleon’s Skin] and slowly land near Lord Benham and Duke Itor, who look at me with surprised expressions (Benham) and wary (Duke Itor).
Duke Itor walks forward and shouts.
"Who are you?! State your name!"
However, before I can say something, Lord Benham walks forward and says.
"My friend, this man is the Grandmaster of Medicine of the Gipan Kingdom."
Duke Itor widens his eyes and bows a little.
"I’m sorry to shout at you, Grandmaster. The situation here is dire, and I let myself a little bit loose."
I smile a little and say.
"Don’t worry, Duke Itor. I understand. The reason why I’m here is to help in this matter."
Duke Itor brightens when he hears that word and says.
"Wonderful! Thank you for helping us, Grandmaster."
I nod and take a deep breath. In this form, I can go all out.
"[Ultimate Magic: Star of the Beginning]!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
|3rd POV|
"[Ultimate Magic: Star of the Beginning]!"
After Gwyn casts that spell, the people around him can see a lone star appear above him that shines brightly. The star shines for a couple of seconds before it dims a little, but it still shines with a mysterious power.
"Let’s buff all the army first. [Everest]! [Amazon]! [Sahara]!"
If [Astrologian] has a set of spells that let them buff and heal their allies, [Druid] also has it as well. It is called [Nature’s Wonder] spell sets. The names of the spells are borrowed from all the names of important places on Earth.
Like the highest mountain, Everest, or the biggest forest in the world, the Amazon.
[Everest] increases allies’ defensive stats, [Amazon] increases allies’ magical stats, and [Sahara] increases allies’ physical attack.
Gwyn did not stop there as he took a deep breath and cast more buff before his ultimate spell ran out.
"[Yggdrasil]"
An image of a massive tree appears above the city and heals anyone inside the city. Even the people who are losing their limbs stare at their new limbs that regenerate from Gwyn’s spell. The people, not only the ones on the wall, cheer at the new miracle that Gwyn has been doing.
"[Oort Cloud]!"
The miracle did not stop there as a massive mist appeared around the city and slowed down the monster coming to the city. Not only that, the monsters that are made of fire and lava die instantly when the mist touches their body.
[Oort Cloud] is a high-level spell (Level 170 spell) that gives a great debuff to any enemies. The debuff reduces their movement speed, attack speed, and defense against physical weapons by half. This is the greatest debuff spell [Astrologian] has, but sadly, it has a long cooldown (24 hours).
Not only that, it is also a DPS spell to any enemy with [Fire Nature] as their nature. Most of the monsters coming to Belltown have [Sand Nature] as their nature, so they do not get hurt by this spell, but some of them are [Fire Nature] creatures.
When they touch the mist, their body starts to melt and disappear into nothingness.
This spell’s only weakness is that it will not work against any enemy with [Ice Nature] in their race. Oort Cloud is a real location surrounding the solar system of Earth. It is known that the Oort Cloud is an icy object that surrounds the sun.
Because of this, the spell is cold in nature, and any [Ice Nature] creatures will not be affected by this spell. Gwyndolin knows this and knows that there will be no [Ice Nature] creatures appearing in the desert, so he knows that this spell will work exceptionally.
"Amazing"
Duke Itor can only say that in awe as he can feel the power behind all Gwyn’s spells. Lord Benham also looks at Gwyn’s awe as he can feel and see how the spell makes the people around him, including him, stronger and faster than before.
Gwyn looks around and frowns before shouting.
"What are you doing?! Attack! The enemy is coming!"
When that word is said, the people snap from their thoughts and start fighting again. However, unlike before, they are now fighting with a new power. They are now buffed from Gwyn’s spell. Each time they swing their sword, axe, or spear, they are now swinging with the power of three of them.
This is the power of [Nature’s Wonder] series. They are at a higher level than the [Zodiac] and [Cycle of Animals] as they are level 150 and above spells. The only reason why Gwyn did not use them more frequently is because of the cooldown time, which is five times longer than the [Zodiac] series and ten times longer than [Cycle of Animals].
They are more powerful, but Gwyn cannot put them in his circle of spam he always does in Second Life and real life.
"Here they come."
Lord Benham and Duke Itor look at Gwyn with confusion on their faces.
"What is coming, Grandmaster?"
"Yes, what or who is coming, Grandmaster?"
Gwyn looks at them and says.
"Look at the distance and tell me what you see?"
Lord Benham and Duke Itor take out their spy glasses and look at the location Gwyn points at. They can see a single creature standing on the sand. They can see the creature holding a staff and its body covered in bandages.
"Is that a mummy?"
"No... It is different. A mummy did not wear a crown or wear anything other than their bandages. This one is wearing a crown, and there are a lot of valuable trinkets on its body."
"You are right."
The two lords put away the spy glasses and looked at Gwyn.
"What is that creature, Grandmaster?" Duke Itor says, "Will it be a problem?"
Gwyn looks at Duke Itor for a second before nodding his head.
"Yes. I know what kind of creature that thing is and that it will be a problem. It will start attacking in a moment. I can feel it. I can feel the massive amount of chaotic energy get sucked by that creature, and now he is about to attack."
"Should we attack that thing?"
Gwyn looks at Lord Benham and says.
"No. With that amount of chaotic energy, if we kill that thing now, that energy will be released at once and explode. The explosion will be big enough to destroy the city. However, that is not the worst part."
"That is not the worst part?!"
"No. The worst part is that the chaotic energy will corrupt all things it touches. This place will not be what it used to be, and the lake will dry up or get corrupted that anyone drinking the water will die."
Duke Itor gets pale at that word and slowly says.
"Then what should we do?"
"We let it do whatever it is doing and kill it. Ah, here it comes."
The two lords use their spy glasses and look at the distance. They see the mummy raise its magical staff and slam it to the ground. A second later, an earthquake happens, and after ten seconds of the earthquake, the two of them can see the ground underneath the mummy split open, and a massive number of undeads crawl out of the ground and charge toward the city.
"Round two is about to begin."
