I Only Wanted A Class In The Apocalypse-Chapter 1836: We Want Exclusive Rights!
"They take long time to grow, have a wall they hit when training, and most of them are pretty useless when steering the outer universe ships," Olana finally returned to her seat, as she jumped into this talk, the type of talk she wanted to hear the most, the type of talk that she was very interested in, "but no force in the universe has such ability to grow these warriors, none!"
"That’s... True," Moth’s mask covered his suspicious look, yet he recalled how Hye was confident in taking her away, so he continued, "No one in the universe can do it, but him!" he pointed towards Hye, and the latter simply crossed his arms, without even issuing a single breath!
It felt like he was silently agreeing on what Moth said, a thing that left behind an earth shattering type of shock inside Olana’s soul and mind!
"What makes you say that?!!!" As if she was the one leading this meeting, or as if she had a say in these deals, Olana couldn’t help but ask in bewilderment!
"It’s... None of your business, Lady Olana," Moth acted a bit rude, before totally ignoring the look of rage on her face, "so... How about we highly evaluate this type of deal? We won’t be stingy with you!"
"You are aware that the price of such warriors won’t be fair or going by market price," Hye paused, before stressing on this, "it’ll be like buying a very precious commodity, from someone who has total monopoly over it!"
"I know it won’t be favourable," Moth inwardly sighed, as Hye proved to know the worth of what he had under his control, "but we are willing to bite such loss in return for the future gains."
"Wise," Hye paused, "but let’s not stop here, I can tell you still have other scary demands other than these. So why not spill them all out, and let me decide once and for all?"
"Well..." Moth weighed the risks from doing so, yet with the firm look over Hye’s face, he couldn’t help but resign, "We need to ally, sort of a treaty between the two of us. Whenever we need your help at the outer battlefield, you will either join us personally or send out your forces to help."
"It’s not an alliance kind of deal," Hye was speechless for a minute there, "it’s like we are following you and your orders!"
"Well," Moth knew this was the hardest type of deal he wanted from Hye, "we still will highly reward you and your forces for such help..."
"It’s more like a mercenary kind of treatment," Olana suddenly kicked in, "and I can tell, if half of what you just said about him is true, then seeking his help will be like hot cake in the entire universe!"
"You..." Moth couldn’t help but feel threatened, "Which race are you here on their behalf?" He couldn’t help but jump to this conclusion, while Hye didn’t even spare her a glance.
"Let her be," Hye casually said, "she is going home with me!"
"Why don’t you show me how you’ll take me then?" Olana grew tired of how Hye kept treating her as if she was a powerless doll, "the entire moon is surrounded by my family’s forces and fleets! You can’t even try to take a single step outside without getting shot!"
"Ah, they also froze the space," Moth intentionally said this, "that means even using your precious staff won’t work!" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Are you done?" Hye didn’t show a single speck of worry on his face. He already expected all this and more from Olana’s family. And yet he wasn’t even fazed, not even for a little!
He was a little surprised, actually, by Moth’s knowledge about his staff, yet he didn’t focus too much on it. "What she said is true, lots of races will seek my aid if I agree to help you on these terms," Hye added this point, drawing a clear line.
"We... Know," Moth turned to Olana. If not for his mask, then his eyes would be flaring flames over her right now. Everything was progressing smoothly except whenever she intervened! He didn’t believe Hye would even realise the potential of other races’ interest if not for her.
"Then?" Hye didn’t show anything on his face. He simply waited to know how the Hescos planned for their future collaboration. If they opened the door for anyone to come later and make a deal with him, then what was the point in snatching him first? And they couldn’t hope to monopolise him, as the price would be too scary or too little for them and him respectively.
"We want exclusive rights for your help out there," Moth inwardly cursed Olana the more he talked about the last resort he had.
Before coming here, he had lots of meetings with the Hescos’ higher ups and other leaders. They discussed everything and settled on focusing on asking Hye’s help where it really mattered to them.
His bones weren’t bad, but they wanted something far more important than just the bones. They also considered all possibilities, which amounted to lots of variables, yet Olana was never in their calculations.
Luckily, what she revealed so far was within their calculations. So Moth, despite being cornered, wasn’t out of options, "in return for that, we will settle on the price you want, of course, as long as it’s not way too much..."
"It’s going to be too much," Hye interrupted Moth from playing this pathetic act, "if you want monopoly, then you need to shoulder the expenses for it!"
"Tsk," Uncontrollably, Moth turned to Olana, resisting the urge to kick her, "fine! But we’ll need to settle on something we can always use in payment. The outer battlefield wars are unpredictable, as you know..."
"Told you already, never been to any of them!"
"... And there one small mission can turn into a big war, and a short fight can turn into a very long series of battles," Moth continued his talk as if he had never heard what Hye just said.
